Glycine is criminally underrated. I own two Steel Combat Subs and a bronze Combat Sub GMT. The total cost of all three those automatic watches was less than $1200. The lume is crappy, but if you can look past that, the Glycine range is brilliant.
One of the most underrated swiss brands, the combat sub is one of my dailies and I love it, of course this constant and repeat sales are not good for the brand reputation but that's how INVICTA works and at the end of day Glycine watches are probably the best swiss watches for the money so why complain 😊
Swiss-Made = 60% of the cost is Swiss and must have a Swiss movement/caliber. I know some people may not like 40% of the cost is made else where (China?) but I don't see anybody complain on other microbrands watches.

I've seen Stuhrling advertise watches with a "Swiss" movement, the Claro 888, which is actually a Seagull ST-16 slightly modified in Switzerland. It just makes me wonder, how Swiss are Swiss movements these days? Does the movement itself only have to have 60% of its "value" come from Switzerland?

Great video as usual. This watch looks great, and Glycine is a cool slightly underrated brand when it comes to Swiss watches. For this price I would seriously consider it. Sadly though it's too big for me. Would be a perfect gift to my younger brother though, since he has wrists that "need" 44mm watches.

I THOUGHT there was a fault with mine as, on reset, the minute timer revolves 24 times before stopping!. I've just seen yours do the same thing!!!!!! Can you PLEASE explain what is going on?! Beside that I love the watch. Thanks for the info. It was a big influence. I have the all-white dial. If they were any cheaper I'd get the blue and the black too. Great design.

In regards to the minute register spinning on reset, it is a bit peculiar and I will try to find out some more information, however there is no need to wait for it to settle before you can restart the chronograph. That is, once the second hand is in zero position the chrono is ready to go and the minute register will catch up. Hope this helps 🙂👍

It’s a nice watch, the style is great and it’s great value, it’s just another clumping great plate on the wrist sadly. I would have bought one if not for the 53mm lug to lug. It’s too big for my flat 6.85inch /17cm wrist. I can just about get away with 51mm length.
I do think b-type fliegers look a bit more interesting, however the IWC 43MM pilot chronograph is an A-type, and is still good looking 😎 so possibly if Glycine made one I would still buy it. Thank you for watching! 🙂👍

The chronograph keeps on running past 30 minutes, so it basically runs until you stop it, unlike Seiko VK63 which will stop once the registers hit the maximum reading. Hope this helps.

The non Eco drive quartz keeps recording after the 60 minutes are up which I find much more useful. This one also has a 12 hour totalizer which does not appear to be available with the Eco drive.
Yes, there's is tax to pay for UK imports. I recommend to use Jomashop's tax prepay service, which is available at checkout. Roughly, the final amount works out to be about the same in GBP as the watch price in USD. I.e. for a $199 watch the total amount will be about £199. That is unless the gbp/usd exchange rate changes 🙂 Hope this helps.
I don't know about that, but what I do know is just by looking at the two smaller dials and hands I can see it has way more detail than a Baltany and that's no even including the top chronograph button and the crown detail.
A cheap Pagani that looks expensive made out of stainless steel, Sapphire glass and a quality Seiko mecca quartz. Perhaps this looks like a expensive overpriced Swiss watch so therefore a bargain. Actually it looks like both!
As a big pilot owner, I could see owning this watch too--something to wear when you don't want to damage the big boy!

You stole this watch at $170. Their website sells them for over CHF 1000.
