I think the yoshi ride will be a perfect ALL age ride and I think the perfect way to make it interactive you maybe collect virtual eggs and throw them at certain enemy's and hidden clouds
Perhaps, there will be one at the Universal Studios Hollywood's Super Nintendo World location. (That location is smaller than the one in Florida, Japan and Singapore.)
Looks good for what it is - a ride for the younger audience. Personally I wish it was a bit longer and maybe even went up a level or two on the "mountain" behind it as well. But I bet it'll be very well themed and innovative!
@@PokemonMaster4742 Perhaps, except the satellite images of the Japan park makes it look like that won't be the case. It's also not in any of the concept art/models. But everything is possible I guess
Alex Monreal damn straight. You right. I am rooting for Universal. NOT Disney. I feel Epic Universe is going to be a huge game changer that gives Disney a run for their money big time.
The eating feature being built into the vehicle would be so awesome! Particularly if it's a game. I know you said the vehicle will most likely not rotate but if it did, I could see this being like Buzz Lightyear where one person rotates the vehicle and the other tries to eat much as possible. I'm glad this is not a screen based attraction, but I really hope its not just a look around attraction. Either way, I'm stoked for this one!!
I'm not sure how to feel about this attraction. I'm hopeful that it will feel high quality and entertaining for all ages, and honestly I'm sure I'll probably enjoy it... but at the same time I can't shake the feeling this is much too low budget for such a gigantic property. Only one indoor scene? That seems very odd to me, especially considering they have show scenes that are outdoors. Stick a roof on them and make the scene more detailed lol. What happens when it rains? If the animatronics can get wet that makes me think they're super basic and not impressive. We've seen plenty of well made status of these characters before in stores and at e3, so seeing them in a theme park won't be some kind of 'wow moment.' The whole concept of just looking at the land from the ride is a bit meh too. It's like "Look, there's all of the stuff we already saw when we got in line to get on this ride...but now it's far away and we can't interact with it." I'm probably being a grump, like I said I'm sure it will be at least a pleasant distraction from Mario Kart & DK. BUT I'm reeeaaally hoping they did not spare any expense with Mario Kart, and it's legit one of the greatest theme park rides ever to be constructed, with loads of real show scenes. Great work as always Alicia! Also didn't realize the Mushroom Kingdom was so close to Amity. Ya can literally see it on the horizon. Looking forward to the day when we can play a Mario game with Quint. ;)
Think about the people mover and the kinetic energy that provides to the park. It important that not all the ride vehicles are indoors. Im glad this is not just a screen dark ride.
TheBitBlock honestly you’re being way to critical, a big budget ride can be total shit too as we saw with Jaws for years, while a lower budget ride like the Simpsons can be amazing. A ride doesn’t need to be cutting edge to be fun, it can be extreme simple and still be good
Its good to see universal offering more family friendly attractions, especially as this is such a fun themed land and not supposed to be intense in any way! Excited to see this being brought to all the universal parks
If i ever get to actually go to the park my younger brothers are gonna love this, and not only them Im so hyped for this, its gonna be a really good year for Nintendo
After learning more about this new land (which is embed to a video game franchise I've never even played before), I think I need to start playing more Mario (and other Super Nintendo games for that matter). And I hope this new Yoshi ride does indeed come to Orlando as well (and that Secret Life or Pets attraction as well (I love those films)).
If they do it right, the queue can be highly interactive for guests waiting, which would help if the ride itself is short. Maybe there will even be a pre-show scene to setup before you walk into the load queue.
Much shorter than I thought.. Was also expecting to get a few indoor show scenes instead of one. I do think this will be a nice and familiar ride for avid Nintendo fans though. All in all, with Donkey Kong, Mario and Yoshi it does make a nice and complete land.. Galaxy edge needs something like this for younger audiences and to add kinetic energy.
I hope the Orlando version has a cover over all outdoor sections due to the amount of rain they get. It would be nice for Orlando’s version to have an original layout that way there’s something special about the different versions.
They could make the ride interactive by having a control so you could eat fruit along the way. Something like Toy Story Mania where you would pull a lever and see Yoshi's tongue reach out and grab the fruit.
I definitely agree it's a short ride. But I think Universal is making the right choice here. This will give something for younger kids to do while their older siblings or family members are off riding Mario Kart and Donkey Kong. If there's an interactive element I still think this ride can be very successful. My only complaint is I really was hoping we could straddle Yoshi! 😅
I would love to see a Nintendo themed nighttime show at Super Nintendo World similar to Fantasmic, World of Color, and Universal's Cinematic Spectacular/Celebration
Seems kinda short. Wish it would of been longer. Also I think it would be fun if you could actually sit ON Yoshi instead of inside him. Like a merry go round ride. Also a fun Yoshi ride is the Yoshi-Go-Round.
I think its me or captain toad ois on the corner and on the side of the collored wall. I mean someone shared a little video of the whole ride and tje inside part. But in the end there is captain toad. Go to game x plain
My thoughts for an interactive feature will probably be some way to signal the animatronics to do different sequences (think Astro Blasters). How they’ll achieve it is our best guess, but I can definitely see a similar system to test track where you can you wristband before or after going on the ride
I'm a bit disappointed we're not seeing anything about other Nintendo properties like Zelda or Metroid. This is more of a Super Mario World than a Super Nintendo World. Of course that was what I expected seeing as how to cost of building and designing these attractions are astronomical, so Universal is playing to the lowest common denominator, Mario is the most mainstream and well known property in gaming. But here's hoping they add a couple things for the older, hardcore gamers that grew up with the more challenging and mature games.
I'm very excited for this ride because I think the other rides will be too thrilling for me and I want to see animatronics and setpieces. Very sad it's not coming to Hollywood, as that's the park I live closest to
I Think the concept is great, although I think it is WAAAY too short, and I think it could use a strong (and easy to understand) storyline, as I think their is little to no storyline, or at least a goal based on the information you are stating. However this is very vague information, so we will just have to wait and see.
Hollywood just as enough space to fit the ride Also, it would be dumb not to put the Yoshi ride in the Hollywood version because Hollywood's super Nintendo would will be the first super Nintendo would in America.
