Incredible job on the coverage of this park. I'm so excited for it and really enjoying your presentation and level of detail in providing information and updates. Thanks for these.
Universal Studios Singapore is the smallest of the Universal parks so it makes sense they won’t be getting the coaster as they just don’t have room. The park is attached to a casino hotel called Resorts World Sentosa, and Sentosa is a narrow island filled to the brim with tourist attractions. Sentosa is Singapore’s way of making more money besides ship trade. That aside, I’m glad the one at Epic Universe is not only similar to Japan’s but is also the largest, they know they have to go all out if they want the name Epic Universe to be accurate. And makes sense to change some of the names as of course, not all the characters have the same name in English
I had a realization the other day that Universal has a previous relationship with Nintendo going back at least to 1989. "The Wizard" starring Fred Savage is basically one big commercial for Nintendo, specifically Super Mario 3. The movie is produced and distributed by Universal and in fact some of the scenes are filmed at Universal Studios Hollywood. It all makes sense now.
There is reason why Walt Disney World is better then Disneyland. Same reason why Universal Studios plus Island of Adventures because it has more rides then Universal Studios in California. Florida just has better parks in my opinion.
@@323starlight Well they don’t exactly have the space to do everything exactly how it should be. I’d like to see you build full lands on the side of a steep hill.
I seriously love this. And it's perfect timing because my girlfriend has never been able to visit anything like Disney or Universal and has always wanted to and I've been making a massive online document on stuff at WDW and Universal and these videos have been helping with that. I love what you do with the channel and I can't wait to see what's next, especially for HTTYD
It's a decent amount of extra space that is probably much needed. Also there is a decent amount of space under Peaches castle. A meet and greet, a stage show area and or extra games would all be amazing additions. I was hoping Yoshi's Adventure would have been a bit longer and maybe, if the walkway towards Kong is a bit wider we get some extra tracks. I also expect the pipe to be much more of an attraction than in pervious iterations.
I think everyone needs to keep their expectations in check with the Mario Kart ride. The reality is it’s a relatively slow moving shooter dark ride for kids, but I think the people expecting something more like Carsland RSR will be disappointed. On the other hand, they now have a 3D shooter ride. I plan to go after it opens next month, but I’m skeptical about how well the AR goggles work in reality. It’s easy to get motion sickness with VR if the frame-rate is too low.
Between this and Monster’s Land I’m super excited. It’s so crazy to see how far along they’re moving with Epic Universe. 2024-2025 doesn’t seem to far away after all.
I love all of this. Let's establish that before I proceed. Am I the only one who thought that the Mario Kart ride was going to be as fast as the gameplay? It just seems like a fancier version of the Yoshi ride.
happy 2923 everyone! the reason i wasn't on youtube the last week i was with mom is because her internet is not the best and it took my playstation 4 forever to download the things i bought with the playstation cards i got. now that it finally downloaded everything, i can now watch youtube without the risk of slowing it down
I bet another reason for the Donkey Kong mini land being next year is probably for the rumored Donkey Kong movie coming after the Mario movie. That would be good advertising for it.
Man, I can't wait for this park to open. It's going to be a madhouse when it does. I have annual passes for USF/IOA and was at IOA on a Saturday in mid October and it was just wall to wall people. Everything was over an hour wait. Even the food lines!! We wasted way too much time (and money) to eat mediocre pizza too! My kid went on the Doctor Doom drop tower and that was it. After that we just walked around the park for about an hour and left. It was complete mayhem.
I am starting to get a little worried about crowd size. I am hearing EVERYONE wants to come to this park when it opens. And if it lives up to the hype the demand will remain high. An overcrowded park will ruin initial impressions from guests. Volcano Bay is still recovering from the 1st yr bad reviews because of Tapu tapu, but now nearly everyone loves it because the bugs have been worked out & people really understand it.
@@alextheshark1 this is why I suspect there will be "some" kind of reservation system in the 1st yr. Maybe like Discovery Cove... no annual passes, just day pass or multi day passes. I really hope they gets it right. Can you imagine waiting 2 hrs for a table service restaurant?
@@graffiti.777 Interesting... so do u think we will pay for an all-access like ticket and then reserve the lands or will we pay per land and be guarantee admission?
Also I did hear a rumor they may bring tapu tapu like system to EU. Meaning you can reserve ride times while doing other stuff in the parks. Originally tapu was supposed to be a larger deployment after Volcano Bay but I think UO got scared after the 1st yr. Same thing with the ride reservation system they used for Jimmy Fallon and Camp Jurassic for the flyers. Maybe just a virtual queue like they have for Hagrids.
When I was 6 years old I came across a wishing well. What I did was then toss a coin into the wishing well. I wished “I hope there is a real life Mario Land”. ~ true story
It seems interesting that the Epic Universe’s entrances are all portals. It makes me wonder if there will be a “storyline” for the Epic Universe. (i.e. Guests exploring an area that can connect the fictional world to the real one thanks to science)
Is it just me or is there a tone is giddiness in this update? I mean that in the best of ways, my inner child is bursting out knowing that in just a few years I'll be walking around a Super Nintendo World built by Universal Studios!!
There will be a path on the right after passing through the portal, leading to an elevator. The elevator will drop guests off inside Peach’s Castle so they may enter the land in the same place as guests who take the escalators.
With some of the rumors we've heard over safety, I'm worried the DK coaster will be slower than most roller coasters but I hope the spectacle and threat of the jumps compensates for that.
It'll be a "family" level coaster, but the special moves, jumps and dark ride elements will add an extra level of thrill to make it feel more exciting for sure.
My big issue for safety is that in typical Universal fashion, the restraints will be the awful rollercoaster restraints that will limit heavier set body types from riding them…including the slow moving ones.
I fear that it will be similar to what diagon alley still deals with. So many crowds and people who are in the land just standing and taking pictures. I hope there is enough space to move. Hopefully with so many lands opening, one won’t be much more crowded
I'm still so surprised that Universal Studios got the rites for Nintendo property. In the 1980s, Universal Studios filed a copyright for Donkey Kong because it was too close to King Kong. Joseph Kirby Jr. an American attorney defended Nintendo against Universal. Nintendo won and named Kirby in his honor (Kirby is a Nintendo and HAL Laboratory property)
