- Follow John Kolb on “just another weekend.” Where he tries to balance the line of being a good father, husband, and fitting in time to chase wild mountain trout with a fly rod. John fishes two different tributaries of Pine Creek in Lycoming County. He catches a good amount of brook trout, some nice wild brown trout, and a wild rainbow.

here is the link for the water filter system. It is a little more than when I bought it last time. Darn inflation!

This was beautiful. A good testament to a sound father, husband, fisherman, and human. Thanks for sharing John and tight lines!
Thanks for watching Mike, I hope your guiding season is going well! Tight lines to you also!
Love this! Great video.
Thanks for watching!
Beautiful
Nice job! The drop shot method is so effective. I was using it with a Euro Rod just this past week on the J. Wild rainbows seem to be gaining in population in PA. Tightlines!
The drop shop method is hard to beat especially with a euro rod. I’ve had really good success with it too with a strike indicator. Comes in handy when I’m dry fly fishing and nothing is happening on the surface. Super quick to switch over.
You guys share so much great useful information with us.its greatly appreciated.thanks for sharing
Thank you very much for watching and commenting!
Well done! What I wonder is why you use so many flies... It looks like 1 only tungsten nimph would be enough for that stream.
I was using two unweighted flies. The fish were holding deep and not taking anything off the surface. That amount of weight was perfect for those deeper plunge holes. It was a little heavy in the shallow riffles.
