Hey Tim. Would you happen to know what power supply I'd need for a Ring King? Could I use one those Happ style ones or do I need an original? Great video btw.👍
Standard switching power supply should do it! They are about $25 or so. If you're doing the Google Search, it would be, "arcade switching power supply." Just make sure to match up your wires to the correct voltages. If it's your first time, just do one wire at a time to make sure they all match the correct voltage. Good luck and sorry for the delay!
@@ThatTimGuy No worries I appreciate the reply and info. I've got a few arcades, but I'm still learning with everyone I get. I'm starting this RK cab from the ground up. I ordered the switching power supply... so I'll double check the voltage. I appreciate the help.
nice update Tim! not sure of where youre at but if theres a microcenter near you they usually have cheap computer speakers for like 5-6 bucks, that way you have an amplifier already on them in case your test board doesnt have an amp board for its sound. looking forward to the next part!
That Tim Guy its a computer/electronic store..kind of a cross between radio shack and your bigger electronic chain stores..google their name and go check out their site, maybe having some shipped to you is an option if your not able to find some at your local thrift stores, etc? just a thought..
Hi buddy im new to this.ive built an arcade table.player 1 one end player 2 the other end.my question is which im stuck on is ive done the wiring on player one side.but when move to other side player two the ground dont reach you get about 6 spades to conect the rest are going across the center of table .which you cant use .can you xtend these in anyway so to ground everthing as it should be ..thank you
You can absolutely extend those ground wires. The wiring harnesses are often not set up for cocktail tables so the wires tend to be too short to do that. Often the wiring harnesses have little zip ties holding the wires all together. You can undo those and then retie them. Perhaps there is a ground wire in that bunch that will make it. You can also extend the ground wire (it can be any color, but I try to keep them the same) by splicing it in or making another connector to go in it. They are typically spade connectors. 0.25 is a common size. If you need more details, please feel free to let me know. Good luck
Would love a part 4. 😊
Looking forward to the next test bench vid 👍
+Ed Damage thanks for reminding me! I need to revisit this!
Informative on jamma harness es in general thank you! And a simple and effective test bench you made there! Thx.

I'm in New England. Something like that would be great but I haven't heard of one of those. That would be perfect though!

Yes. Coin credit switch for player 1
Tim where did you get this jamma harness??
Where did you get the JAMMA Harness? The only ones I am finding are all in Japanese. Would love the English labels.
The last one I grabbed from Holland computers had English labels. They have them on eBay too.
