Hey Tim thanks for making this video. I have been wanting to create my own test bench project but haven't seen any good videos on how to get started. I can't wait to see how it turns out for you. Keep up the good work.

awesome video and idea, Tim! as Chuck mentioned dont forget some way of testing audio and one thing i was gonna add is to not forget to add the fuse block in your power circuit as well to keep your circuits protected but it looks like you may have kept them? Also, if you decide to get the video converter you can get a cheap CGA to VGA converter on Ebay. i was able to get one to test the video signals from my Turbo cabinet for about $18. I look forward to part 2!

Thanks! I think the fuse block that is already there will do the job. I've seen those cheap converters on eBay. You have one and it works ok?

That Tim Guy yeah thats what i was meaning, sorry. and yeah it works pretty good with the exception of the language for the on screen display and menu are default to chinese and it doesnt come with any kind of manual but u can find one online to help you set the language to english. other then that it works great!

Good video, cant wait to see the other parts since I want to do a testbench too.
Some guys on the forum did this with not only an jamma adapter, they did it with cable setup to change the pinout. So no more adapter soldering if you test a non jamma pcb. ( hope my point is clear since im austrian :-) ).

Tim, you forgot the audio. You'll need a speaker and possibly a volume knob for your JAMMA Harness...

+Chuck12 - doh! You're right! I think I've got an old powered computer speaker somewhere! Thanks! These comments help out a lot!

Another good video. Tim have you ever ran into Outrun shaker motors not working even though the SSR board and the shaker motor work? Thanks for your helpful videos.

+IcedOutYFZ Thanks! I have. That motor can be a tricky one sometimes. The things I check are the motor, big honkin' relay, connections, and the circuit breaker behind the coin door. I've seen the circuit breaker fail. Try resetting that and if it still doesn't work check to see it is getting voltage behind it. It should be in the 30v range if I recall correctly. If that is good pull the power leads off of the circuit breaker and check it for continuity. Sometimes that breaker goes bad. Typically it's one of those 3 things! Good luck with your repair!
