It's funny, but I've always wanted littlefinger to win. The man was brilliant, and he believed in himself although he was just a commoner. He prioritised knowledge and he got his way through on just his cunning and wit. I hate the way they killed him off in the series.
Gail Pinto in the books he still lives, should have made the show 2 more seasons and waited for next book to release and made baelish more cunning -- what a character
He wasn't a commoner. But he ranked so low in the hierarchy he might as well had been. Even the Freys ranked higher than him and they were looked down upon as well.
He dropped a pretty damn epic quote in S07E03: “Don’t fight in the North or the South. Fight every battle everywhere, always, in your mind. Everyone is your enemy, everyone is your friend. Every possible series of events is happening all at once. Live that way and nothing will surprise you. Everything that happens will be something that you’ve seen before.” I wish this quote was on this epic tribute. Nice job!
Not only him. Many anti-villains and villains speeches could be motivational speeches. That's why they add his actions and villainy demeanor to it. But out of context they could be interpreted as such. As a matter of fact even Elsa's let it go song from Frozen can be an anti-villain or transformation to villain song. The lyrics certainly support it, "there is no right nor wrong", "no rules for me", that's because the song was originally intended to be a villanous song (tragic character transforming to anti-villain or to villain) but it sounded so good they altered a little and added a different tone to it. However try to imagine an evil!Elsa's tone singing the same lyrics. The only thing that changes is the intent towards the viewers and interpretation in which instead of you hearing independence, you hear ego-centrism/selfishness, and instead of confidence you hear arrogance. It's all about the intent after all.
SasuChe Uchiha whoa that's a deep analysis!!! You are right of course, I had never thought about it but now it seems obvious...I guess that's a trait that makes people so attracted to villains and anti-heroes. Nobody actually believes that they are doing something wrong, so they must be confident to keep doing what they think it's right.
Yes. That's why people like villains. They have honesty and accountability behind their actions. "I warned not to trust me", "we are all liars here..."(honesty). "No one forces me to do it, i do it because i wanted." Cersei even said the same thing in the last episode. Out of context, it could even be a motivational speech, since many of them rely on you taking action for your own, so the circumstances or your backstory doesn't matter and are non factors for what you are capable of accomplishing for yourself. And promoting self knowledge is better and the only approach if you want to advance. "Only admitting what we are, can we get what we want". Sometimes villains cynical views in a *grey world* such as GoT could lead people to actually root the villains and seeing their actions not different than the "good ones". Such is now the case with Cersei and Daenerys. Which many people latetly i've seen supporting and defending Cersei as a victim and being not different than Dany in her rule, in which both killed people. Even if i think Dany and Cersei comparison is very off sometimes, i can see why viewers want to defend her in the first place. Such was also the case in Frozen song. Since the composers could not villify the character. It's hard to villify a tragic character as Elsa and more so with a song which reeks as a motivational speech. Her character instead of being identified for the audience as a villain, could have been seen as misunderstood and dividing the viewer's opinion as to for who you are rooting for. So they opted for a safer route in making her only a tragic misunderstood one. twentytwowords.com/the-drastic-change-to-frozens-original-plot-that-made-everyone-love-the-villain/
it's incredible that with a simple change of viewpoint (and perhaps, some ideals) you can have a hero or a villain - such as the change of elsa, or the comparison of Cersei to Dany. In fiction, we can usually classify who does something for the "right" purposes and who act for the "wrong". Many times, both sides do wrong things - be that deceiving, killing, cheating...it's not the actions that matter in fiction, but the goals. In real life, of course, that's much different - we are mostly unable to know someone purposes, and even if they have one. Because of that, we have the giant taboo of the century, judgment.
Undoubtedly the most interesting character. The man behind almost everything. The only man capable of triggering a plot twist. Such a shame they are going to kill him for nothing. The show has become extremely fanbased ,leaving only the characters that are more likable alive.
Chris_k I don't think he will die just yet, but they do seem to be setting him up to be killed by arya. He is a true student of the game of thrones. "Knowledge is power" he says, and it sure is. Hope he gets his time before he is killed off. Would be a waste to see his whole story end so sloppy.
I’m in love with the “Look around you, we’re all liars here” it’s like the perfect paradox, put the truth in front of everyone’s noses and no one will realize is actually a lie
As mentioned before, in the books, he still lives. I have a feeling that when the books are finally realised, the ending will be far more grand, glorious and magnificent than anything that could be portrayed in the show.
Littlefinger is such a key to the game.. brilliant character, he truly lived by his beliefs and was as ruthless as you need to be to survive in Westeros. It's a shame that he'll die this season but his story has to come to an end for the Great war to unfold. The parallels between Petyr's words and the characters between 1:18 and 1:30 is beyond amazing!
What about this sentence - He is alive !!! - Before his "death" - he gave coin of Braavos to faceless. Faceless is that woman, she said " Your time is up ". But this is only teory, but i believe it, because Littlefinger is a key to the Game of Thrones.
I like how Varys says "He would see this country burn if he could be the king of ashes" and then you made Petyr say "I'd risk everything to get what I want" confirming Vary's words :D Well done!
Littlefinger was the most brilliant, the most awesome and the most amazing character on the show, I just cried for days and I still can´t believe that he is dead... I just did adore him for those brilliant decisions he made and all the amazing quotes he said. When Arya kills him I think you can see Sansa crying, she loved him as well but she denied it. R.I.P. Lord Petyr ´Littlefinger´ Baelish. I hope that at the and of the series Littlefinger told Sansa the story how it could have ended or in the last season he is waking up after a bad dream... I hope the best.....
I can understand why people doesn’t like him , but in my opinion he’s the smartest man in GOT! It’s really sad that GOT doesn’t tells his story completely !
He is an excellent actor. a master on the scene. His character is full of mysticism. When he appears in the series he breathes another atmosphere . You hate it but you admire it. .amazing.
Is this how justice is done in the north? You accuse me of crimes, I deny them. So you cut my throat and let me die? Where is the king's justice? And why did HBO decide to kill him? Is this going to push the story somehow? No, they did it because they did not know what to do with it. He was one of the most valuable characters in previous seasons, but this season he just walked, smiled here and there and created an illusion of manipulative activity. Maybe, if he really did do at least something this season, that scene would not be so bad and more valuable. And this HBO bullshit started S6E10. Look, we do not know what to do with these characters, so we just kill them for no reason. In books, if Martin kills a character, he does it for a reason, not because he does not know where to put them. Am I the only one who thought this was a disappointing ending to Littlefinger? When you were not paying attention in class and everyone is looking at you? It's not as if Sansa and Arya have knocked him down at his own game. They simply moved him.
God dammit. He's the true villain of this story, the one behind it all. With the exception of Danearys and everything beyond the wall, he really set the entire storyline in motion. I can't say I'm surprised that the show killed him off, but man, I'm looking forward to what George has in store for this character in the next books. Imagine Jon and Dany returning to Kings Landing after defeating the Night King, only to find Littlefinger finally having seized the Iron Throne, probably having some sort of grip on the Targaryens, disabling them from taking the throne from him by force
This man was lord of a house that was so small that he might as well have been a commoner, and he came closer to seizing power than most of the powerful houses do.
Baelish was the manipulator in the shadows, pulling his strings like a puppeteer, but there was only one thing he had no control over, and that was shitty writing.
Littlefinger is alive and is using Bran's face to rule the Seven Kingdoms (following season 7 and pairing it with the events of season 8) Just remember that in season 7 there were many scenes that could only have as purpose to explain LF's fake death, like the scene with LF giving to the faceless woman (?) a coin from Braavos. Now we know for sure this because in season 8 this woman didn't have any relevance, so the only mystery hiding behind this scene can be LF's being alive. To explain why Bran can't choose to become king it's a task of hard rational thinking. To explain Bran's behaviour after he became the Three Eyed Raven, the best thing to say it's that his experience was mixed with all of the experiences (or history) in the world in present and past, meaning that he has no longer has a personality and that he's not a human anymore (even when having a lot of knowledge, he isn't capable of giving affection or showing free will). When Bran says that Chaos is a Ladder, he's actually referring directly to LF's phrase. The reason of why does he think in a similar way that LF does, it's because he has seen through all of his history, and may have concluded that his way of thinking and acting it's the best for the Seven Kingdoms. If Bran can do the same as LF, why can't he be ruler of the Seven Kingdoms? It's because, as I said before, he doesn't has free will. When Bran became the Three Eyed Raven, all of the knowledge from the past Three Eyed Raven was transferred to him, but that means that their objectives were transferred as well. The previous Raven hadn't never contacted any human in a thousand years, and he only did it when the NK was coming, meaning that his only purpose it's to maintain the records of history and to defeat the NK. Bran can't decide to live his own life because he can't change the history and probably, to stay safe, he had to return where no one could ever find him (because he could get killed at any moment, or not be capable of avoiding his death). That means that, because Bran is the Three Eyed Raven, he can't have the role to rule the human world. Consider that even if this seems really strange, remember that writers are just playing with the little bits of information that we had about the Raven, so putting Bran as the king is a good trick on their part, because if LF was the king it would be tough to understand and LF and Bran are very similar, anyways (LF is the main villain but they don't want to tell us that he is also the protagonist, it would be a big spoiler for the books) Another small explanation it's that the magic creatures are supposed to have some limitations. One of the limitations of Bran, for example, is that he can't see the future, only predict it with some certainty through visions. Like LF said, the future is something we have seen before. If Bran is supposed to have some limitations, he can't have the most powerful position in GoT because he's the most powerful magical character after the dragons. It would be an incoherence to his role and would lost any kind of comparison to the real life, because there's no king that knew all about past and present, and had that kind of omnimiscent powers. For what I´ve said before, if Bran considers LF to be a good ruler, then there's no reason to kill him. When he accused him of betraying Ned Stark, he was just pretending that he didn't know about LF faking his death (he didn't even cared about the crimes he made), and didn't alert anyone from this fact later in the series. LF waited to Daenerys and Jon to lose their position as the rightful rulers, and before Bran was chosen, he changed positions with Bran (probably Bran contacted him first through visions, letters, etc.). If LF didn't knew how to use a face from the alive (he could have because his grandfather was from Braavos and he had a connection to the faceless man), Bran could have shown him how to do it, because he knows everything about the faceless man. There are a lot more of hints and details that can proof this hidden ending, like when you see Bran smiling in a very Littlefingerish way, but you know that Bran can't actually smile. Probably is the most powerful detail in the last episode. Remember: the devil is in the details. The true masterpiece of the GoT's writing is hiding in the shadows. I discussed it Neo´s channel too, so me may also talk about it. If you make a video about this foreshadowed secret ending, I would like to have just an honorific mention lol I´m just a big fan of GoT and I want to reveal what a masterpiece were those writers hiding to use (and maybe also ruining their plans lol).
My favorite character, I really hate how he died though. Went out like such a bitch, if you ask me the real littlefinger would never have been caught in a situation like that at Winterfell.
Littlefinger may still be alive! He could have faked his death... The woman he was speaking with a few episodes prior could have been from Braavos. He seemingly gave her something, perhaps an iron coin from Braavos. And don't forget, his grandfather was from Braavos as well. That woman could have wore his face and stood in for him... Littlefinger is far too intelligent to fall into Sansa's trap!
Hopefully, he will not die in the books and will ascend to the Iron Throne. A guy without mystical powers or a rich family... but a genius, a manipulative genius!
It's funny, but I've always wanted littlefinger to win. The man was brilliant, and he believed in himself although he was just a commoner. He prioritised knowledge and he got his way through on just his cunning and wit. I hate the way they killed him off in the series.

He wasn't a commoner. But he ranked so low in the hierarchy he might as well had been. Even the Freys ranked higher than him and they were looked down upon as well.
Excluding Sansa's Rape and Ned's treason the guy was fookin cool !
He's alive and I'm pretty sure about that!
He dropped a pretty damn epic quote in S07E03:
“Don’t fight in the North or the South. Fight every battle everywhere, always, in your mind. Everyone is your enemy, everyone is your friend. Every possible series of events is happening all at once. I wish this quote was on this epic tribute. Nice job!
Ramon Brandão Yeah, but this tribute came before season 7.
Ramon Brandão well he didn't think of the possibility of a kid who can see every event in the past that will lead him to his death
Baelish really seems to be a stoic philosopher! 😂
yeah, but he kinda said that to make sansa paranoid
He's alive kidz
It's just me or out of context, Littlefinger quotes can actually sound like motivational speeches? Great video by the way, send me chills!!
Aha I see what you mean! Thank you so much! :)
Not only him. Many anti-villains and villains speeches could be motivational speeches. That's why they add his actions and villainy demeanor to it. kapitan19969838
FUCK MY LIFE
Ehh, mine too
I like the fact they needed Bran with super-powers to uncover Littlefingers game
That just proves how good his game was that they had to rig the game.
Honestly I've probably watched this 1000 times....
John Dilinger That's awesome really glad you enjoy it. Thank you! :D
I’m in love with the “Look around you, we’re all liars here” it’s like the perfect paradox, put the truth in front of everyone’s noses and no one will realize is actually a lie
RIP Petyr. You are always the best character of the show
Petyr Baelish He was the best player of the Game
despite the fact that he ain't dead
don't disrespect the guy call him lord baelish
He Will come back for the Throne
The moment he says he wants "Everything. Everything there is.". PERFECT.
As mentioned before, in the books, he still lives. I have a feeling that when the books are finally realised, the ending will be far more grand, glorious and magnificent than anything that could be portrayed in the show.

I believe he faked his death...he's too intelligent in the game...
This was awesome. The last bit with Sansa looking at him.
I just realised, I think he says what he truly want in order of importance.
1.) A picture of me
2.) On the Iron throne
3.) With you by my side
Hate the way this brilliant character ended in the show
#TeamBaelish Lets hope they dont kill him off this season
ikr Q.Q at least Jamie will survive (I think)
TC G lets hope the leaks are fake leaks send by HBO to fool us all 😰😰😰 HE CAN NOT DIE FUCK ME ITS NOT POSSIBLE.
#TeamBaelish FTW

*seinfeld laugh track*
Rip my favorite character
Baelish had some of the best lines in the show. Purely dark monologues, brilliant character, excellent actor. "Chaos is a ladder".......
This deserves more views. Amazing!
Lady Ruby Thank you!!
"Andbwhat do you want?"
"Everything. Everything there is."
Man, this was hot💯💯💯
I like how Varys says "He would see this country burn if he could be the king of ashes" and then you made Petyr say "I'd risk everything to get what I want" confirming Vary's words :D Well done!
Danger418 Thank you!
That video may be the one that defines best littlefinger's place in the game of thrones
one of the best edits out there. watched it 10 times in 24hours.
Littlefinger was the most brilliant, the most awesome and the most amazing character on the show, I just cried for days and I still can´t believe that he is dead... Pika Blitz He could have faked his death...
I can understand why people doesn’t like him , but in my opinion he’s the smartest man in GOT! It’s really sad that GOT doesn’t tells his story completely !
That last scene tho
R.I.P. Petyr 'Littlefinger' Baelish
One of, maybe the best character in this whole fucking show gone like that because one kid have magic powers.
baelish is genius because he can control himself and he only do things for certain purpose , like the sex he had with lysa .
Agreed, although if he doesn't manage to control Sansa I believe he's going to be in trouble.
yeah thats his weakness
I always come back to this brilliant tribute of my favourite character. Thank you for making this
I'm in love with this video. THANK YOU.
I watch this every day
If the Joker and Keyser Söze had a child it would be Petyr Baelish
Even though this dude betrayed Ned, i still feel sorry for him for some odd reason, he looks like he really cares about sansa
Best Petyr Baelish video on RUclips. Great job editing.
Bud Sheppard Thank you! :)
He is an excellent actor. a master on the scene. His character is full of mysticism. When he appears in the series he breathes another atmosphere . You hate it but you admire it. .amazing.
When you realize that he is behind alot of deaths in the series without actually getting his hands dirty. Amazing
Is this how justice is done in the north? You accuse me of crimes, I deny them. So you cut my throat and let me die? Where is the king's justice?

Knowledge is power, knowledge is laddar.
Honestly it makes so angry how much they messed up his character
@EuropeDP definitely was

This man was lord of a house that was so small that he might as well have been a commoner, and he came closer to seizing power than most of the powerful houses do.
Brilliant. Thank you
Amazing video, great work on the game of Thrones Characters. Just missing Stannis Baratheon...
Stannis the Mannis! lol

i'm mourning. thank u
What a pitty end of this epic character.
My favorite character, I really hate how he died though. Went out like such a bitch, if you ask me the real littlefinger would never have been caught in a situation like that at Winterfell.
and now, his climb has ended.
More like Petyr "daddy" Baelish ❤🔥🔥🔥
Every time I heard his little theme I just though “ another rung up the ladder”
Ah, when we all thought that D&D might not screw up one of the best characters.
2021 AND BEYOND I WANT EVERTHING AND YET AT THE SAME TIME I WANT NOTING.
RIP :(
Charlie kelly king of rats you are a legend man

I got a great spoiler from a spy inside the set: Little Finger is not Dead and he will become at the end the King of ashes.
We already have the ashes now... Can he be the King?
There's no justice in this world...unless we make it
The best video about him
Thanks
After tywin i lost my favorite character : (
#TeamBaelish with all my black heart.
Ahhhhh too bad this character was so dismissively pushed aside for the Starks :(
Well done Dan and Dave 👏👏
IN THE BOOKS HE WILL WIN THE GAME !!!! Not that bullshit on the show
I Wish he will win with Sansa by his side!! also a villain deserved to be Happy.

The best of the players in the game.
my favorite character!

Same
Hopefully, he will not die in the books and will ascend to the Iron Throne. A guy without mystical powers or a rich family... but a genius, a manipulative genius!
2020 AND BEYOND I WANT EVERTHING AND YET AT THE SAME TIME I WANT NOTING.
Littlefinger is the Real Hero of Game of Thrones
i am a man who wants everthing yet wants nothing.
Awesome 👏👏👏

Bran hacked the game against the most skilled player. A shame they wasted this character, he deserved more.

"Well he didn't fly so good!"
Now he is reborn as Joe Jonas.
Sansa rekt by modern Petyr.

Finny Well the higher you climb a ladder the further you fall.

Show makers destroyed this character.. Rip
