People place harry in a “pop” box but he has a LOT of rock influence and Harry’s house has a lot of 70s aspects to it. His entire discography is amazing
I believe one of you mentioned being a drummer in a previous video- if so, you should find some videos where he is performing with his band, because his drummer Sarah Jones is exceptional. He always says it’s Sarah’s band and he’s just the frontman. 😂 Plus his live performances are where he shines. He is a rockstar
THANK YOU FOR DOING HARRY!! discovering harry styles is going to have so many solo harry / one direction fans coming onto your page because watching people fall in love with his music is the best.
I find it magical how people who have nothing to do with 1D and all of that world listen to Harry and fall for him, like yes you were missing on that! 😅 I love that a lot of people are realising how freaking talented he is and take him out of that boy band stereotype
Harry's worked with the same two producers throughout his solo career and always credits them as cowriters, those 3 create magic everytime they're in the studio, Harry's a total music geek and loves his harmonies lol. His entire discography is currently only 3 albums with no features, remixes or anything but they're everything, there's a reason he's the biggest male artist today. You can start anywhere but you should definitely check out more from him.
Harrys 2022 performance at Coachella is absolute perfection. If you want to react to something that showscases his music, talent, stage presence and frontman skills, that’s the one to watch. His performance at Radio1s Big Weekend aswell, that one includes more songs from his third album Harrys House 🤩
last thing to add - the Harry's House album (out of which this song is) got both AOTY and Best Engineered album, which has't happened that often, he is imo one of the best artists in terms of sound quality
All these tracks show off his versatility vocally, lyrically, style wise, production wise and sonically wise!!! She (Fine Line) Carolina (Harry Styles) Grapejuice (Harry’s House) Sign Of The Times (Harry Styles) Fine Line (Fine Line) Cinema (Harry’s House) Keep Driving (Harry’s House) Only Angel (Harry Styles) Kiwi (Harry Styles)
I, like you didn't know One Direction, one day the radio was playing this brilliant song (like something from the 70s) Sign Of The Times, now I'm 68 so went straight to RUclips to find out who it was, it was Harry Styles, all these One Direction thumbnails kept coming up, then I fell down this massive rabbit hole, it took me six months to catch up with everything, Harry is still my favourite singer/song writer from the band, he has three albums all brilliant but different you never know what your going to get with Harry, I managed to see him live last year and oh my god! the best concert I have ever been to, you could stick a pin in a list of Harry's songs and not come up with a bad one, you will find videos of him covering Fleetwood Macs The Chain (he has also sang live with them and Stevie Nicks often performs live with him) Joan Biaz Big Yellow Taxi, Peter Gabriel's Sledgehammer and more. Terribly, Terribly sad what has happened to Liam Payne 😢😢
6:50 people preferred not to say it out loud but ya basically. he wasn't necessarily the best vocalist in the band especially when he was a teenager and not half as good as he is now but usually had the hooks and was often the main voice they harmonized with. he was the unofficial face of the group, always insanely loved by the fans and general public.
@@suyash2839to me it was always harry and zayn, while Liam was underrated for all the things he was doing. Him and niall could harmonize with everyone in the band while they were doing their verses.
1D didn’t feature a front man. With most songs each had a part of the song - Harry with a lot of the hooks. Zayn and. Liam had insane voices from the start. Louis and Niall matured into their voices.
While Harry was extremely popular, all of the guys contributed greatly to the band’s success, all charismatic, talented musicians and singers. It shows in all of them being able to pull off successful own careers after the band. Which all deserve to be checked out here…😉
I’m 49 and Harry was my quarantine find. I had no idea who he was and stumbled across him by chance. Since then he has become one of my favorite artist ever and I consider myself very musically literate. It’s hard for me to even know where to tell you to begin. All three of his albums are brilliant and very different from one another. His latest live performance was a few months ago when Stevie Nicks brought him on stage. He has sang with her a few times and she considers him the son she never had. He is incredibly respected by all the greats. I think he is at his best live, so I think that’s where you should start. But his music videos are also very amusing. He is a very eclectic artist.
I'm 77 - have been around for some of the best music of all time - Motown, Beatles, Elvis, Jerry Lee, Chuck Berry - but absolutely adore this kid. Fantastic singer - listen to "Boyfriends" acapella. Perfection. He wasn't the lead of One Direction, they could all sing - but he is definitely the most successful as a solo artist and deserves all his success.
You guys have to react to Music for a Sushi Restaurant, such an underrated song! And pretty much all of Harry's House - which deservedly won best album at the Grammys
I think pop music Is so underrated and It often happens when things get popular in general. It's like people disregard some things just because everybody likes them instead of asking themselves why it's so popular. Not directed to you but It just got me thinking what you said. Love u, keep going ❤
Oh I am psyched for this! Harry is a musician’s musician. Really a pop star with an indie soul. The fans will argue about it but he was the Justin T of One Direction. He was clearly a star from the outset with his voice and stage presence. One Direction was a more rock-forward boy band, with no dancing and matching outfits, so his sound isn’t that far away from it. Harry’s got 3 albums… the self-titled is more classic rock/Brit pop influenced, the second, Fine Line, takes that sound but goes more pop. This song is from his third album, Harry’s House, and is more pop and funk. It won the Album of Year Grammy in 2023 because it sounds SO good. From the beginning of his solo journey Harry has surrounded himself with a very small group of co-collaborators to write and record with and then he has a loyal, amazing live band. You cannot go wrong with any of his sound but a lot of people start with his debut single Sign of the Times or the crowd favorite Kiwi from his first album. His NPR Tiny Desk concert is awesome and features a lot of his 2nd album stuff like Watermelon Sugar and Adore You. The highlights of his third album (other than Daylight) are, As It Was, Music From a Sushi Restaurant, Cinema and Satellite. You cannot go wrong with any studio recording but sometimes he’s even better live. Enjoy!
Yes with Louis’ live album you really fell like you are at his concert. And I love that each song was recorded at a different gig. Full disclosure, he’s my favorite of the 1D now that have gone solo.
ACTUAL music lovers discovering Harry Styles music for the first time is just the best! Love the video!!)) Harry's so meticulous about every sound in his music, it's borderline ocd, that's why it takes him so long to release new music and there's not many songs in his discoraphy. He layers most of the harmonies himself, he's behind decisions on most of rythm/production/instrument choice, even though he rarely records music himself (just a few weird instruments here and there and acoustic guitar on Fine Line song). He mostly writes on piano, not very often on guitar, so imo that's why most of his songs are very melody-harmony based and less songs are rythm based. All his albums sound different to each other and are best to be listened to as a whole, as it takes you on a journey. I highly recommend to go through all his catalog (which is less than 3 hours so far😭), you won't be disappointed. Even the largely hated Watermelon Sugar and As It Was (these became viral) are so good sonically! he and his co-writers and producers (mostly just same 2 guys on he majority of songs) are so on point most of the times ("Woman" could be rare exception but he totally made up for it in live versions). If you'd like to get a flavour of his live performances, I recommend: - Kiwi, She, Woman and Boyfriends (the Coachella edition) - "Sign Of The Times" (live at Graham Norton), Girl Crush cover and The Chain cover - any versions of Adore You, Lights Up, Satellite, Daydreaming. - Matilda is a very very fragile beatiful song, especially live. The guy is the real deal!
ALL THE GUYS from the One Direction band are talented, sing great & you should listen to their solo work; they’re all different. Louis Tomlinson’s 2nd album Faith in the Future or his live album (Brit-pop); Zayn Malik’s latest Room Under the Stairs (R&B/country/blues?); Niall Horan (don’t know which of his albums is the best, or what to call the genre).
I can't decide between Harry and Niall which I love the most as solo artists. I'd say Niall's music is very singer/songwriter driven. Probably soft rock, pop rock, a little bit of funk, This Town is folk rock. Flicker is just... Beautiful. I was also a bit old to be into One Direction (Backstreet Boys was more my time 😂), but I got into both Harry and Niall when they went solo and I haven't looked back. Both of them came out so strongly as their own complete artists. It's so impressive to see that from former band members!
Yes am also a bit older, millennial, and love all of the 1D boys solo stuff. Started with Harry and then started listening to the others. I have to say now I have the softest spot for Louis and would agree with his Brit-pop label, he’s a bit more indie than the others. I think it’s important to remember Niall’s Irish roots as he brings a lot of that Irish folk singer/songwriter influence to his music. Zayn’s latest album is definitely my favorite of his and of Liam’s in love the acoustic version of his most recent song - teardrops, but at the moment it is just heartbreaking to listen to. Listening 1Ds music, is a cool pop ride if you go through in order of release 😆 I prefer albums 3-5, when they started writing more for the songs themselves and there sound took on a more pop-rock sound and less of a straight pop.
I just discovered 1D and members this yr and I’m 66 I’ve watched all I could find about them and they are so great as a group and individuals. I’m hooked on their music They all took different styles individually and are wonderful. The videos are entertaining. Louis bio is a whole new perspective on him.
Yes, he was “the” singer. Harry is an exceptional vocalist. Would love to join you going down the rabbit hole, and see some of his live performances/ vocals ( and w Stevie Knicks)
Yes yes yes.. so exited... more Harry!!!!!!!!!! This is from his 3rd album called Harry's House, that will be cool for you to check out. Also checkout his first sigle as a solo artist called 'sign of the times' it is amazing and will give you a good perpective of his solo music
Never too old for Harry, he is cross generational, I am a boomer, last concert went with 3 generations. Try listening to his live performance of his first solo single "Sign of the Times" on Graham Norton Show. He has made 3 non skip solo albums. One Direction, last 3 albums will surprise you, they were not your common or garden Boy Band. Everyone took the lead, Harry and Liam took the most though.
Also gen X here and Harry is a fave. He’s even better live as I saw him at MSG in 2021. It’s a fight over which of his albums is best because they’re all so good. Each its own unique sound/story.
@@W0rdsandMus1c it's just the most commercializd genre so people could be reluctant to admit they like anything pop. Harry's career and the marketing particularly looks quite old school to me, and I love 60-70s, which he is most similar to imo.
Yeah, I was a bit old for One Direction... But I started following Harry Styles and Niall Horan from the band when they went solo. You are going to LOVE Harry's... I'm going to go out there and say basically his entire solo discoriogrophy. I think you'd REALLY love Niall Horan's solo work too. I am very choosy about my pop. I do love it, but I don't do all of it. There is just too much and I don't personally relate to all the voices (I've tried so hard with Ariana Grande, for example. She is incredibly talented but her voice just doesn't speak to me personally). Both of these guys are really up there for me 😊 Harry does a really cool cover of The Chain - Fleetwood Mac for BBC Live Lounge/Radio 1 that's worth checking out too. A bunch of his solo work also really embraces a lot of their style.
7:30- I have been twitching like a fiend since the start of this video… trying to make it to the end, without commenting. I only wanted to leave one 😂 I can’t take it anymore 🤣 Go, literally ANYWHERE with Harry! You can’t go wrong, seriously! Live performances, covers of other artists, Howard Stern… his band is the shit, he’s so cool! All his albums are fantastic. Maybe start with Harry’s House? That’s his latest album. I’m excited to see what you two do with his music 🎉 I am calling it now, you will love playing along! That was a lot and I’m not sorry 😂 This is a worm hole you’ll definitely get comfy in. As far as One Direction, I can’t help there. I’m in though, down for anything you choose! Love you guys!!! ✨💜✨
omg!! i just commented on your gracie abrams video almost a week ago that you guys would love harry. so happy to see him on your channel!! when it comes to recommendations, it’s honestly really hard to give you a direction (no pun intended) on where to go with harry. truly no matter where you start, it will be good. his music videos are great, his personality is contagious, his COVERS are absolutely fantastic (worth checking out), and every record has superb musicality. however, i do think it may better to start from his first album, IF you guys are committed to doing the whole shebang. just so you can see how he progressed artistically! hs1 is more soft rock/folk, hs2 is more pop/psychedelic rock, and hs3 (2023 aoty) is more synth-pop/funk/pop rock. otherwise, if you guys want to hear more of where this song came from, harry’s house is a fantastic start as well. i also think he really shines in his live performances. anytime he’s performed at bbc is usually great, or graham norton, but especially at his own shows. i know a lot of people will recommend his tiny desk, but i actually think you should wait a few videos to do that one! only because it might not be a good portrayal of his songs/vocal ability in my opinion, but it’s great too!
sorry just realized i never gave a recommendation lol! i think i’ll stand by my comment on the gracie video that his “behind the album” live performances are great and might be a good place to start! it’s really organic, just him and his band performing in Abbey Road Studios. “behind the album” is his documentary on apple music (which is great also) where he shows a lot of the making of it in Jamaica + those performances sprinkled throughout. if you just want the full performances though (where he does every song), it’s a separate video underneath. and for individual songs: sign of the times (first solo single), late night talking, cinema, satellite, golden, and lights up :)
Just wanted to let yall know that I LOVED Ryly, the songs are truely incredible omg. Plz listen to more Harry! He’s got 3 amazing albums that u will love
If you love indie bands and british music, you should definitely listen to Louis Tomlinson's second album, "Faith In The Future", especially The Greatest, Out Of My System, Silver Tongues and Face The Music. Louis was also in One Direction and he's very underrated. I love your videos btw !
Please do more Harry styles. Each album is incredibly diverse he started very rock/ballads and went very experimental later on. So excited for his future music.
I think you'd both enjoy his Tiny Desk Concert. Watermelon Sugar and Adore You are on there, but so is Cherry and at least one other song I can't remember. It is a much more mellow performance though.
Y’all. I’m Gen X and I peeped Harry coming out of 1D. He also has a Tiny Desk that’s GREAT! You GOT to listen to his albums but if you’re not ready to do full album reactions, these songs will 🤯🤯: Fine Line Golden Be So Lonely Satellite Matilda Woman Kiwi Sign of the Times (live version from Graham Norton) Medicine (live in St Paul - a song he never released but is also a fan favorite) All three of his albums are fantastic…
I looooove your reaction to Harry's Styles! I will listen to anything you do on him. He has 3 solo albums and he is Amazing live. Looking forward to more Harry videos!
The album from which this song comes is phenominal. You should do the whole album. It won 2023 album if the year Grammy. It was a contraversail having not listened to the other albums, I couldn't really say that it was the best, but it is pretty great.
I really think you guys would especially like his ‘Fine Line’ and ‘Harry’s House’ albums. Specific songs I think you’d especially enjoy from those records are Fine Line (title track) and Cinema. Thanks for the awesome reaction!
It’s lovely to see you appreciate everything that goes on the studio version, many people sleep on it. But I hope you guys enjoy his live music too, fingers crossed 🤞
I want to through out Woman and She as amazing songs!! Woman is the reason I got into vinyl. I needed to hear it that as so i literally bought a record player lol
So happy you did this! Honestly you can go anywhere with Harry. If you want to you could do the live performance of this song at the Howard Stern show! 'Harry's House' is his latest album (which this song is on). It won Album of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Album AND Best Engineered Album at the Grammys 2023, so its funny you mentioned the engineering! Enjoy the journey!
I would love to see more of Harry Styles. From the couple of videos I watched, I would say you are music lovers with an open mind and I believe you will recognize the massive talent this artist has. Harry is a music lover himself and it shows in his songs.
7:05 he wasn’t like the official lead singer. But his voice really did stand out, he was more famous for looks at that time. Vocally in one d zayn malik was famous for his ability to hit high notes. After he left liam payne(RIP) took over zayn’s parts
I'm GenX, and got into Harry Styles a couple of years ago after dismissing him like an idiot for awhile based on the "boy band" prejudice I carried (I mean, most of these manufactured pop idol groups are not great). I was immediately hooked. He is legit -- the rare superstar discovered on a TV talent show audition; he was just an ordinary 16-year-old when that show aired. I think Fine Line is my favorite of his records, though I love them all. I have heard he is recording again, can't wait to hear what he does next!
If you don't know one direction, you would be surprised by them. I became a fan since album 3 when they were really involved into songwriting. Midnight Memories reminds me when I was young. Their covers are awesome, Teenage dirtback or one day or another for example. The other former band mates are awesome too. Louis Tomlinson is fire. Her also has the most songwriting credits in one direction. He did a song when his mother died and dedicated it to her, it hit me every time. It's called Two of us. His 2 nd album is the best. Niall Horan is great too. Love the no judgement video. Not one bad song on his 2 albums. I wasn't really into Liams or Zayns music, but they did some awesome songs and collaborations.
harry sounds even better live!! i recommend you check out his song kiwi from his self titled album, harry styles. the studio version is amazing because it’s very rock influenced and he does some proper rockstar screams!! it’s even better live because his energy is amazing. he is an amazing showman!! also check out the live performance called kiwi three times!! please❤️
Upfront I want to say that I'm a 1.. huge fan of Mr Styles 2..a proverbial boomer........and these guys should listen to the other members of the now defunct 1D ie Louis, Zayn, Niall and the late Liam Payne! Together they earned the title of 'best boy band'! But man, do they rock their solo careers‼️‼️❤❤❤❤
Okay… two comments 🤣 AURORA is an amazing artist! I am recommending AURORA. I’m going to see her in Boston, in December, with my daughter. We love her. She is more alternative than pop. I am recommending, “Churchyard”, Queendom”, “Conqueror”, “Animal”, “Warrior”, “The Seed”, “Lucky”… just a few to start with. Okay, byeeee ✌️💜🤘
If you like Harry Styles - As It Was, please listen to this cover band called PREP, they do a cover of AS IT WAS and it was PHENOMENAL how they took that song to a whole other level, and there is an unexpected solo that YOU BOTH will appreciate, it's so good, but also from Harry Styles i like a lot of his music too.
If you love this song---you will freaking love Harry's House. This entire album is a masterpiece. I am also a GenX...
Such an incredible album!!!
LOVE LOVE LOVE this album! Every song is brilliant. ♥️♥️♥️
I'm a boomer and I love Harry's House, too... well deserved album of the year.. its a no skip album.
Harry's a lot better than many people think he is,he's an elite musician
People judge him so badly. So many music snobs who just put him in a pop boyband bracket when in reality he’s on Bowie level
I agree 100%
Harry does a fantastic cover of Sledge Hammer it's live recorded at a radio station.
Yes you'd love this cover. Harry is an old soul with music.
Live with Howard Stern. It's fantastic.
I second this, a masterpiece

Also do yourself a favor and check him out live bc he’s phenomenal
I just discovered 1D and members this yr and I’m 66 I’ve watched all I could find about them and they are so great as a group and individuals. I’m hooked on their music They all took different styles individually and are wonderful. The videos are entertaining. Louis bio is a whole new perspective on him.
Please do Sign of the Times live from the Graham Norton Show it is incredible!!!
Harry's House, his latest album, is a masterpiece (EVERY song) ps - It was Album of the Year at the Grammys and the Brits
I am so here for your harry styles journey!
Each its own unique sound/story.
i wouldnt even consider him pop, though! i dont even know what to categorize him as. BUT I LOVE HIM
Many people forget that pop stands for Popular and therefore covers many types of music, no shame in enjoying pop music.
Both of these guys are really up there for me 😊
Harry does a really cool cover of The Chain - Fleetwood Mac for BBC Live Lounge/Radio 1 that's worth checking out too. A bunch of his solo work also really embraces a lot of their style.
i really think yall would like music for a sushi resturant as a drummer the groove is SO FUN to listen to
He did this song on Howard Stern and the harmonies are just as killer with his band
Yes more Harry
Please go there! He is really really a big deal and his band is cool, awesome 🤩
Where to go with Harry... EVERYWHERE!! ❤ Maybe first to a sushi restaurant 😜
I’ll recommend Golden/ She/ Fine Line for his 2nd album, and Cinema/ As It Was/ Love of My Life for his 3rd album
7:30- I have been twitching like a fiend since the start of this video… trying to make it to the end, without commenting. I only wanted to leave one 😂 I can’t take it anymore 🤣
Go, literally ANYWHERE with Harry!
I couldn't, lol, left a huge rant right at the middle of the video so I totally get the feeling! Agree with everything you said!
@@OceanChild7 😂 safe to say this is a party we can both get down with 😂
omg!! i just commented on your gracie abrams video almost a week ago that you guys would love harry. so happy to see him on your channel!!
when it comes to
recommendations, it’s honestly really hard to give you a direction (no pun intended) on where to go with harry. truly no matter where you start, it will be good. his music videos are great, his personality is contagious, his COVERS are absolutely fantastic (worth checking out), and every record has superb musicality. however, i do think it may better to start from his first album, IF you guys are committed to doing the whole shebang. just so you can see how he progressed artistically! hs1 is more soft rock/folk, hs2 is more pop/psychedelic rock, and hs3 (2023 aoty) is more synth-pop/funk/pop rock. otherwise, if you guys want to hear more of where this song came from, harry’s house is a fantastic start as well. i also think he really shines in his live performances. anytime he’s performed at bbc is usually great, or graham norton, but especially at his own shows. i know a lot of people will recommend his tiny desk, but i actually think you should wait a few videos to do that one! only because it might not be a good portrayal of his songs/vocal ability in my opinion, but it’s great too!
sorry just realized i never gave a recommendation lol!
i think i’ll stand by my comment on the gracie video that his “behind the album” live performances are great and might be a good place to start! it’s really organic, just him and his band performing in Abbey Road Studios.
His videos are awesome too
Harry’s house the album is amazing
Please do more Harry styles. Each album is incredibly diverse he started very rock/ballads and went very experimental later on. So excited for his future music.
I think you'd both enjoy his Tiny Desk Concert. Watermelon Sugar and Adore You are on there, but so is Cherry and at least one other song I can't remember. It is a much more mellow performance though.
Harry Styles is amazing in every thing he does. Love Love Love him❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😂
Y’all. I’m Gen X and I peeped Harry coming out of 1D. He also has a Tiny Desk that’s GREAT!
You GOT to listen to his albums but if you’re not ready to do full album reactions, these songs will 🤯🤯:
Fine Line
Golden
Be So Lonely
Satellite
Matilda
Woman
Kiwi
Sign of the Times (live version from Graham Norton)
Medicine (live in St Paul - a song he never released but is also a fan favorite)
All three of his albums are fantastic…
How amazing is this song?! I love it too ❤ he's beyond amazing and I look forward to his future music 🎶
love the reaction!! would like to see you guys listening to his "satellite" and "sign of the times"
Please do a Harry Styles deep dive! His live performances and music videos are so great
I looooove your reaction to Harry's Styles!
I will listen to anything you do on him.
He has 3 solo albums and he is Amazing live.
Looking forward to more Harry videos!
Harry’s House is elite, def gotta give a listen!
The album from which this song comes is phenominal. You should do the whole album. It won 2023 album if the year Grammy. It was a contraversail having not listened to the other albums, I couldn't really say that it was the best, but it is pretty great.
do more harry omg pls
I really think you guys would especially like his ‘Fine Line’ and ‘Harry’s House’ albums. Specific songs I think you’d especially enjoy from those records are Fine Line (title track) and Cinema. Thanks for the awesome reaction!
Harry's music is geniusly good! If.you liked this one, you should try to react to his others masterpieces💖
It’s lovely to see you appreciate everything that goes on the studio version, many people sleep on it. But I hope you guys enjoy his live music too, fingers crossed 🤞
You can't go wrong with any of Harry's music, but my favs are:
Kiwi, Only Angel, Sweet Creature, Two Ghosts, Little Freak, Matilda, and Falling.
The actual music video is really good or his live performance on Howard Stern of this song
I really recommend listening to Harry’s performance of Sign of the Times at the Graham Norton Show. I’d love to see that!
One of my favorite songs on the album of his, is called satellites
Harry is fantastic and such a cool artist to discover.
By the way I checked out ryly.. really good I will follow his musical journey for sure
Y’all should react to Harry’s live performance of Kiwi at SiriusXM - phenomenal stuff!
Yeeeeesss! HARRY HOUSE PLEASEEE ! 🤩🤩🤩🤩
She by him is also pretty neat!
One Direction didn't really have a lead singer, all 5 of them got their shine,Harry,Zayn n Liam a little bit more
U guys HAVE to react to Harry's House
Somehow, I hear a Paul Mc Cartney vibe in some of his songs, in this one too.. beatle vibes..I love it.
harry sounds even better live!! i recommend you check out his song kiwi from his self titled album, harry styles. the studio version is amazing because it’s very rock influenced and he does some proper rockstar screams!! it’s even better live because his energy is amazing. he is an amazing showman!! also check out the live performance called kiwi three times!! please❤️
One direction doesnt have a lead singer, all 5 are great singers so everyone did their own thing
Satellite goes hard!
You’ve got to do Falling and Daydreaming. Both very different but both incredible
Okay… two comments 🤣
AURORA is an amazing artist!
Highly recommend Satellite!
More Harry please
You should definetly check The song. As It was - Harry styles
