70 Chevrolet Chevelle Convertible • Building a New Body
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 3 июл 2024
- In this video, Marty starts working on John's 70 Chevrolet Chevelle convertible. After getting the body disassembled and stripped down, we find out that the body on the donor car has more rust and bad bodywork than we originally thought. Marty installs new metal and ultimately builds a new Chevelle body.

Wish my boss had standards like this pro dude.
This guy started clean shaven, now has a moustache!
This guy could build anything.A true craftsman 🙌
So excited about this one. Just started metal work on my 70 chevelle!
I love watching a master at work. You couldn’t ask for those bumpers to be tucked any better. That’s gonna be a nice 70 Chevelle when it’s done. Beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful craftsmanship there. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friends. Fab on. Weld on. Keep making. God bless.
Thanks Jared, appreciate it!
Keep killing it.
Beautiful workmanship
Keep these metal work episodes coming, love watching them. Super talent from these dudes 👍
Dude is a Metal master
Great craftsmanship work 👌
DAMN he is good !
Damm love the spoiler.
Man, I wish this guy old teach me his ways.
Ikr!! No matter how many times I watch him and other guy work on these classics it still amazes me!!
That metal finishing 🤌
Using his leg as a table, while using the cut-off wheel like it was nothing
Wished show was still on TV great metal work, it ain't real if it ain't steel!
A true disciple of Scott! Keep watching here, we’ll keep upping the production value.
That Chevelle is coming along great. Those 'booger welds' all over it when it first rolled in were scary, reminds me of my car my brother & I rebuilt during the Covid lock-down; it is a 1971 Ford Maverick, we started with one 'good' one & 2 parts cars. The one we did had crappy looking welds all over it, looked like Frankenstine's monster. Now it's a dark metallic blue show car!
That Front Splitter is pure firrrreeee 💪 amazing work
Thanks for the opportunity to see some of the best craftsmanship work ever ! Great content 👍🏽😎
amazing !
Saved!
Rough one to start with but its going to be nice when its done. Thanks for sharing.
You guys should sell new cars since that's what that Chevelle is going to be!! Great work!!!
A+ great to see quality and the protective coating on bare metal before welding, nice work boys 👍👌
Man that ole girl was toast. Whoever did all that before work needs to not ever do that again! New everything! Gonna be a slick one when it’s done.
Love that front bumper
Thank you for saving a classic, your videos are so inspiring for car builders. Keep up the great work! I agree with Wrecker '56, those goose turd welds were ridiculous.
That work is absolutely unbelievable.👍❤️🇨🇦
Fantastic, I love watching all the guys in the shop at work, a truly great bunch of craftsmen 😎👍🏻
Not to sure bout the metal cutting on his leg though 😮🤣
Ya'll do some beautiful work. Love this channel!!!
Another great video ... flawless metal work to me ... keep em commin ...
I concur Noah, Killer build, Killer team

Custom Chevy Chevelle 70
🇧🇷 I really admire the work of the workshop I'm a fan
Idk how much you charge but come to South Florida with those kinda skills you'll make a killing
Looks great
❤❤❤
What a superb job! Nice to meet you Marty. What you fellas inherit!! Bumper tucking and chin spoiler just two of the detailed parts. Thanks. Looking forward to the finished product. Talking about finished products. F600???!. Love your work. 😊😊
Thanks David, final part to the F600 series will be coming up in a week or two.
Amazing metal work! So what I want to know is who is writing the checks? This is going to be a $250,000 Chevelle by the time it's done. Sure, it will be a beautiful car, but who can afford it?
How long did all this metal work take? Do a vid about the bicycles, please.
I wondered about the bicycles myself!
👍👍👍👍👍
Love your episodes, but some of the audio on this was terrible! It is amazing work you guys did!
Yeah. A lot of this footage was from before we got some audio stuff figured out. Hopefully will continue to improve going forward.
Would it have been better to start off with a Dynacorn Chevelle body?
Love the work , love the car except for the front spoiler...not my flavor. Hope you do the whole build in a series.
To each their own! That’s the plan 👍🏻
Good lord the previous work was horrendous.
Again I’m confused as to why they just didn’t go with a complete shell from dyancorn. That car is worse than mine and I’m thinking to go that route. There nothing original left of that car anyways lol
Would a Dynacorn shell been a better option?
@@minni1094 well if you think about the material, labor and the time it sits at the body shop then I would say ya. If your car is that bad and only the inner structure is good, then you are replacing all the original metal anyways. And even the inner structure has rust on it. Idk I have thought about it. You buy the shitbox for the vin and then buy the dynacorn body. I doubt anyone would know the difference it you took your car with all the metal and have it sit at the body shop for months or bought a complete body and maybe have to do minor adjustments. Idk. They been in business for a couple decades and if those bodies where such crap they would be out of business. Only thing that sucks is you have to pay cash for them I believe. You would have to find a really good body guy to do that kind of work and they are hard to come by. Which means thousands of dollars depending on where you live in the country. If your not building a show car, I’d say buy the complete shell.
How much do.you.charge.for.some.like.that??
Can we see the finish product?
This one isn't finished yet. It's currently getting body work done to it and I'll have a new video on this build in a few weeks.
Я так зрозумів, усю машину можливо придбати частинами у коробках?)
Does anyone know where those orange wheels come from?
Those are Guniwheels. They are a mock-up wheel that we use to move the vehicles around our shop. www.guniwheel.com/
@@ClassicCarStudio ok kool...thanks for the responce.
Or you can get them from us :-P store.classiccarstudio.com/products/guniwheel-45s-set-of-4
probably would have been cheaper to start with a nicer car!
Usually. But only around 7,500 convertibles produced in 1970. We do often run rough numbers on using a different donor.
I love this channel. Brilliant metal mastery. Keep 'em coming.
Thanks, will do!
