#12 CMOD E46 M3 Christina Lam vs Todd Brown BMWCCA Feature Race NJMP Thunderbolt w/ Chicane

- Starting P4 in CMOD in my #12 Hi-Speed x TC Design E46 M3, the start was tight with a bump up front against Charles Harding's #208 E46, and from the rear from an IP car which left my rear bumper as a parachute for the race. I sit on Todd Brown's #800 Roosterhall Racing E46 for majority of the race, getting a clean pass in but giving it back up after ill timed traffic. Cooked the tires in the 98 degree weather and lost some ground, charged back towards the end but ran out of time to attack Brown. This was our first BMWCCA club race, awesome competition and wonderful people. We're excited race with this group again!
My HSM x TCD E46 M3 is in SCCA T1 trim, 330rwhp tuned by Epic Motorsports, 295/35/18 Hoosier A7s on 18x10.5 Konig Hypergrams, and 2800# post race.

why did it feel like the other cars kept blocking you... thats the most frustrating thing ever.. trying to pass when the car in front is slower

Nice run, did the grip in the rear tires go away around lap 17 from pushing so hard in the beginning trying to get around that car? Looked towards the end you couldn't get the power to the ground and the car wouldn't rotate and stick the rear in the corner like it did early on.
Thanks! Yup the tires were gone towards the end of the race. It was super tough to put power down and even get it to rotate. I went out on new sticker Hoosiers and the first few laps were really hooked up. The temps didn't help track conditions, it was 98 and mega slick all weekend long.
The blue BMW is on a slick and it looked like he was able to manage his tire life a bit better.
@@ChristinaYLam All part of the game tire wear and managing that, but you know how it is hard to not stay in the gas when it is working so well, until it doesn't work as well then you regret the previous laps
