Spiffing video! Lovely to see the Micks Past and Present braving the Inclement weather! For those interested the marches played were, (Band of the Irish Guards) 1) 0:01-Rhythm of the Line (Drums & Pipes 12 Co. Irish Guards) 2) 1:35-Fare Ye Well Inniskilling 3) 1:43-Kelly the Boy from Killane 4) 1:55-The Minstrel Boy 5) 2:31-The Sash My Father Wore (Band of the Irish Guards) 6) 3:10-If You're Irish & Begorrah 7) 3:38-St. Patrick's Day
@@charlottecunningham2141 Hello Charlotte! No, this isn't the march composed for SDM Gareth. "Rhythm of the Line" was written many years ago by George H. Willcocks. They just both share the "OI" part!
Very nice video if one takes into consideration that there were very difficult conditions to film. Despite bad weather, everyone taking part to this ceremony did its best. Thank you for allowing us to watch these magic moments.
Household Division officers wear a Coke (pronounced Cook) and NOT a bowler hat. Umbrellas are never, under any circumstances unfurled; only civilians do that in the rain. They also wear collar detached shirts too; using collar studs and separate collars; formal shirts with attached collars are very infra dig. Their outer coats are navy blue. You will also note some opt for the light brown covert (pronounced cover) coats.
I always by looking saw that there was a ‘uniformity’ (colour of coat, hat which I did think was a bowler and the umbrella) but didn’t realise that there was such detail so found it interesting, thank you for that. 😊
Top filming tip…please slow down your panning. You seem in a huge rush and it blurs the image of a moving subject; let them come to you and pan slowly.

Such a wonderful happenstance. Lucky you and lucky us too!
Thinking of my lovely Uncle who was in The Irish Guards during WW2 & received the Sharmrock every Year fro the Queen Mother.
Wow, how lovely! Thank you for sharing!
Very nice to see, thank you 😊

You caught some great tunes here. best I've seen in 10 years.
Thank you! :) It was wonderful to listen to!
Thank you for filming in the rain.
The Sash as well!!! Great respect.
I|s that not a hymn?
And the most beautiful was Seamus❤
I love your filming
I see Seamus most days when I’m in Aldershot…i believe he likes a drop of the ‘black stuff’…..😀
Lucky you!! ☘
What about a sniff of Jamersons as wee chaser 😊
It should never EVER rain on parades. All participants still were great.
I'm sure Seamus misses Catherine.

? (Mr) Coke invented/made first 'bowler' hats I understand@@Royal.Knowledge
@@hazel1605 75 years ago it was the same. It is the standard of dress for officers of the Division when in civilian clothes in London.

On the contrary I love it.
