They are doing great. I've seen Pantera in 94 and the sound is extremely close. Charlie is shadowing Vince impeccably. Zakk is doing very well also. His palm muting and tightness isn't the same as Dime but that's what make us unique. The guitar has far more dynamics in playing than hitting the drums in terms of pick attack, bends, harmonics etc. Dime was very unique which makes him hard to mimic.
phil has come a long way , from seeing him barely able to stand while performing , to walking off the stage straight grabbing a water bottle. good on him he is a legend
That's all Darrell and Vinn needed him to do. I'm proud of him for giving it all back to The Abbott Brothers. They created that band and God are they both very missed.
the live yt vids from moscow reminds me that was the perfect backdrop to the Vulgar Display of Power album title. there was a cop or military guy beating people with his billy club and a hilarious comment was that he was beating people for not moshing! another funny is that Pantera was named after a sports car 😂😂😂 and 30 years later was the most anticipated reunion/tribute EVER
This gives me goosebumps and moves me to tears. My love for this band and these songs is massive. Phil sounds incredible and Charlie and Zakk are killing it.
He quit smoking like a year ago & has been working with a vocal coach, could tell he was getting his voice back from the down shows earlier in the year.... love seeing him inspired again

I was wondering why the hell Dave Lombardo didn't sit behind the kit but Charlie did pretty damn good job. Still not sure about going to see them but enjoy the show if you do go.
@@MetalDad62 Lombardo is awesome. But he doesn't have a deep enough groove in his playing which is needed for Pantera music. Charlie on the other hand is a groove monster...just like Vinnie

I remember walking past these dudes in a rural Oklahoma town and they were jamming some killer metal on the truck stereo while parked in a driveway. I walked about two more houses down and then turned around and walked up to them asking, " who the hell is that band?" Pantera one of them told me. I said "damn!" Had never heard such brutal metal with so much melody. It was of course cowboys from hell not long after it was released. 60 years old now and still loving it. I pray that the Abbott brothers are somewhere looking down on this tribute and happy with the legacy they left behind. RIP Dimebag and Vinnie. You created this brutal beautiful beast. Just happy to hear Phil and the boys killing it .

I was 13 in 91 when I saw Pantera. I started playing guitar at 6 and was into all kinds of music and influenced by my older cousin who got me into bands like DRI, SOD, Slayer, Megadeth, Metallica. Show blew me away. I got to meet Dime that night briefly and he couldn't have been nicer. As I got older, metal wasn't my main mix but man, Pantera was and is one of my go to bands for whenever and just because. Dime will always be one of my favorite guitar players. His murder is one that will forever be a huge WHY to me. I wish Dime, Vin and Phil could have made peace. Rest easy to the brothers.

When the concert ended, I saw that Charlie and Rex hugged each other, indescribable that moment 😢 Also, Phil apologizing because it was only the second show, man! That was a very great concert!
Damn? I was excited to see how this turned out but like a lot of us my expectations for Phils performance weren't the greatest, but, he killed it here. It was of great respect, whether intentional or not, that Phil was able to pull off as best as he could with the tribute tour.

Zakk is sometimes sloppy on the rythm but he plays solos really killer like a really Killer, so I bought ticket for next year ! All the best to You All 🤘

No the crow was wild, i was there, the recording doesn't make justice of how crazy everyone got, also everyone was really cramped on the field section so it was really hard to make a mosh pit or even move, but everyone and their mother stood up and make a mess even the people on the seats.

No the crow was wild, i was there, the recording doesn't make justice of how crazy everyone got, also everyone was really cramped on the field section so it was really hard to make a mosh pit or even move, but everyone and their mother stood up and make a mess even the people on the seats.
