If you are asking - 'Why don't I cast it rather than forge it?' The answer to this question is because I'm a blacksmith not a foundry worker/ pattern maker. Thank you for watching.
Really nice scroll work! I understand the need for electric welding, to forge weld and traditionally tenon those gate would add dozens of hours and make the project prohibitory expensive! Subbed for more!
Lovely work. Thank you for the video. How do you treat the gates prior to installation? Is it painted? I'd love to see more of the same, especially about the formation of the posts and caps. Thank you.
What can I say, I'm a goofy guy! Little tip for you..... If your not keen on the music you could always turn the volume down 😉 what did you think of the video?
@Ben Chuft Hi. Thank you for your overly informative comment. I totally understood his point, it was the aim of the comment I'm not too keen on. Did you like the video? I'm presuming you were not keen on the music either?
Stunning work, almost looks musical in form. True British craftsmanship.
Wow. This is really interesting to see! I've always wondered how those swirls are done. Amazing how much work goes into just one little swirl :-)
What makes the real difference between the forged iron with such a lot of mork, or making a curved metal simply using a casting in a negatim model ?
