This is canonically what the knight did. I refuse any objections to this, the pale king didn’t even see this vessel ascend the abyss because by the time the pale king opened the door, the knight had already vibrated straight past him, that was the blur that came out of the abyss.

By the way, I think it was retimed later that killing the Moss Knights is better for the run. I think you can skip some enemies later, because you have more geo. So in a way, saving Zote was a mistake

Just got Hollow Knight, and loving it so far. Channels like this encourage me to keep playing, and overall add a lot to the game and its community
I watched firebornes reaction to it as well, it was more informative but yours was so much more entertaining.

This isn't really an "automated speedrun" it's a human entering frame perfect inputs a TAS (tool assisted speedrun) Is a human made speedrun where they enter inputs on very specific frames to save time. They are also many other games that have had a TAS ran of them, some of them being used to cheat (that was many years ago) an example being Super Mario 64

It's actually the secret inputs to unlock the Knight's inherent wings, the bvvvt sound is wing flaps, alas the wings are too small and weak to sustain proper flight and only grant increased speed in the form of glides.
I'm pretty sure it waiting to fire the CDash into HK's room wasn't even a mistake, it was probably just an rng timing thing

In terms of RNG manipulation this is the best explanation I can give, as programmers we can't get a computer to produce a truly random number, we have a few methods that produce something sudo-random, these methods can involve a few things, most commonly the time and user inputs, though there are more... unique approaches such as a company that uses lava lamps to produce random numbers for their encryption technology. In terms of games however it is almost always based on these 2, time and inputs. These are also often hashed such that 2 input strings that differ only slightly can actually return completely different values. This makes RNG manipulation effectively impossible to human players as their inputs are obviously not "perfect" as the TAS runs are, meaning that giving an input even a single frame late (that being true frame not physics frame) will lead to a vastly different outcome. The whole system was designed around use for regular users who would always give slightly different inputs even without intending to. Obviously however it doesn't really line up too well should a robot preform the inputs, in some cases this can cause real problems in terms of security on badly built websites however the general case is just harmless stuff like the RNG manipulation this game allows.
Even if it was possible to do the 20 frame perfect movements for wall storage, it'd be impossible to link them and all the platform ricochets all together perfectly for an entire run.

Actually, you're misleading people by saying TAS is a robot. Actually it's a human, but they can decide when they want to do an action. They can see every frame. It's basically the game slowed down 60 times and they can decide when to advance.
