OMG... That's literally the one concert I would envy someone for having been to. But I'm also very happy for you and all the other members of the audience.
Aurora is ALWAYS awesome live, but I think this might be the best performance she's ever done. Absolute perfection from start to finish, and the production is outstanding. I think the fact that this was performed in a cathedral is why the audience was "polite." Life on Mars is a David Bowie song.
@@BethThereseReacts They were actualy ask to stay quite, tv captation and such church deserved respect. The leader of that cathedral were not very open to get a concert in, so the team of tv, band etc, had to respect few things.
7 year’s ago as you do I was scrolling through RUclips and came across a video called Runaway by Aurora. That night she put a lasso around my heart and I was caught and I’m now what you might call at the age of 66 an old warrior. Since then I’ve had pleasure of seeing her live 3 time’s and I have no doubt that she is the best live performer I’ve ever seen. She’s simply the essence of what the art of music should be all about, her songwriting ability is outstanding filled with lyrics that makes you think deeply about life and the world we live in.forget your mainstream rubbish that churn out all the same lyrics and cliches Aurora is at a different level honestly artists like Aurora don’t come around that often and I’m so blessed to have her music in my life. Aurora is the epitome of having every aspect of an artist. Her voice is so soul soothing and incredible. She writes incredible songs all the time. She does not care what anyone thinks about it. She performs from the heart always. She expresses herself honestly and amazingly. I have never seen or heard a better performer in my 50 plus years. I love this woman.
"Nidarosdomen" = "Nidaros Cathedral" in the city of Trondheim Norway finished in the year 1300. Aurora does not use a lot of post production when recording, and what she does use is for effect, not to correct her pitch. So yes she sounds similar in or out of the studio. A lot of older bands sounded so great live, because they had no software to fix their studio work. They had to be able to sing.
Great reaction!!! Aurora is the real deal... not a product of the pop industry or machine-made music... In the documentary “Once Aurora” she’s going back and forward with her producer about the overall sound of her second album, and she told him and I quote “that sounds just the way it’s supposed to be...I know how the people that needs my music expects from me... “ and finishes the argument with “if I have to do another song I don’t like I quit”... I think... let me rephrase, I’m sure she has come to terms with the fact that she has a purpose in life, and she is compelled to do music... In the same documentary she claims that she wants to be remembered as a... genius... I think that she can tick that box and keeps on showering us with more pearls... she sounds amazing live and sometimes, with some stripped out versions of her songs, better than the recording sessions... she feeds out of her fans... shout out from Portugal... be safe...

Yes loved this video so much, Aurora is absolutely transcendent live. She did a concert with the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra in 2020 that is phenomenal and very powerful as she is backed by a full symphony orchestra and her singing is nuanced and perfect. Definitely check it out even if you don't film it!! also her Haik concert in the woods is very beautiful, especially the performance of Infections of a Different Kind :)

Aurora is so unique and gifted, wise and adorable, the Best pf the best indeed I'm getting started, so I'll just relax and watch and listen tranquilito no mas Have a great Saturday, enjoy your weekend
Everytime I hear this version of winter bird I just lose it. The arrangement, the way the sings it, her movements, THE INTRO WITH THE VIOLINS AND ORGAN OML, just everything. I instantly get hypnotized and I start to cry /srs. I think the place just enhances all of this. Beautiful beautiful beautiful
When the purpose of the review is "a reaction" your presentation is excellent, honest, and well spoken. Give yourself a pat on the back and perhaps a well deserved drink of preference. Great job!
I discovered Aurora's songs in the days after my wife died. Some songs (Runaway, Lucky etc) helped me a lot with my grief. I found a kindred spirit in her. their songs always touch my heart. And I learned something from her. She once said in an interview that she doesn't care what other people think of her. She doesn't need to please other people. That's what I learned from Aurora, not necessarily having to please everyone. I keep toxic people away from me.
Sometimes you see the choir behind her, and they just have this stunned look on their faces. If I was in that choir, I too would just be stunned by her absolute mastery. She is everything they hope to be. This concert is a masterclass, and Aurora is a prodigy. She is what every vocalist should aspire to, Fully engaged.
She sounds even more identical to her songs from All my demons greeting me as a friend if you watch her older performances from that era. It’s incredible how every performance is so perfect
@@BethThereseReacts I watch many reactions and the vocal trained say she has no stress on her vocals. She is totally free and self assured in her own head. I see her performing for as long as she wants and I hope that is as long as I live or longer for you all.
This has nothing to do with Norwegians being reserved by nature, it’s about the respect for the church. I don’t know what people do in other countries, but here in Norway we usually don’t applaud in the church.😊
Hello! I am very amused by your reactions towards Aurora haha... I'm telling you that she didn't take classes, she was always self-taught, just like with the piano. OK to answer your most comon question: how come it's like the original? well simply cuz she doesn't ''cheat'' on record, no tricky techno on her voice,. This concert is a master piece, the production, arangement, light, captation, and sound. I agree with you she seem nervous at some point, but hey who wouldn't be. first time with the orchestra and choire, for the national tv, some song have change key and/or tempo, so yes I guess she was less ''loose'' Cool to watch the all thing with you, and don't worry for being out of words some time, we all know what you mean... (and stop to worry about your hair, we realy don't minde about that;-) we -as Aurora's fan) So now what is next? we'll be here :-)
How can she sound so close to the original? She has professional people working for her, professional sound engineers that know how to record live performances and put it all together for us to enjoy. Now, how Aurora can sound like Aurora, well now, that's magic.
I think you're right that this was a Christmas concert. FYI, she has a couple Christmas songs from the 2020 album Juleroser, but they’re in Norwegian - Det hev ei rose sprunge (ft. Herborg Kråkevik) - Vinterens Gåte (The Riddle of Winter)
Also, her song Walking in the Air, which she sang at this concert, is from the movie The Snowman, which I guess is Christmasy.
Excellent reaction. "Life on Mars" was written and composed by David Bowie. You should watch an even more stripped down version with Aurora playing the piano on NRK P3. Fun fact: Rick Wakeman accompanied David Bowie when he recorded it!
beautiful yes wow that live performance is just epic definitely a big mark on her musical history! I watch it every year on Christmas the whole mood is perfect on that time of the year. It was fun to watch it with you, I laughed with you trying to understand how is Aurora so perfect but yeah I can’t either, so let’s just feel it right?💕🩸⚔️🩸
Love this! You absolutely have to see her live. She's also a comedian :D for another live performance to watch that is a bit different but very recent, check out this acoustic set that she played in Glasgow, Scotland. I was lucky enough to be front row at this and it's fully professionally filmed ruclips.net/video/qHPIPdPhUP0/видео.html
Did you know already that Life on Mars is from David Bowie Actually was searching from playlists do Bowie I first found Aurora. It was her playn piano on also
You should also actually check out Maria Mena, amazing voice, she released her first international album in America with white turns blue, with some of her old classics and some new
About your opinion of the "unimpressed audience"; It is in a church, a cathedral ....respect and all.... and they are Norwegians, lol. Btw, I saw tears amongst them so I hardly doubt they are untouched by this performance. ;)
If you are impressed by Aurora’s range you have clearly not reacted to the phenominal Singer Dimash. He claims to be from Kazakhstan but I am convinced that he is actually an alian. His Vocaloca abilities totally out of this world. Among the great songs to react to there are SOS and Love is Like a Dream but I recommend his Sinful Passion first. Btw most of his performances can be found with English subs like this one is. Sinful Passion: ruclips.net/video/kLxCjIHhV-g/видео.html

Yes yes yes yesssss

"Don't you speak over my voice, I'm sorry you're right 😔" 😭😭😭
I use Aurora's music to detox from the political swamp of today. Her music just purges the negativity immediately and recharges my soul.
Yeah me too. Exactly the way you put it. 👍
Hi Beth, as you mentioned, I've seen this venue so many times since it came out back in 2017 and it is an absolute masterpiece. Aurora is so unique and gifted, wise and adorable, the Best pf the best indeed I'm getting started, so I'll just relax and watch and listen tranquilito no mas
Have a great Saturday, enjoy your weekend
Great reaction Beth what can you say, she is perfection
Everytime I hear this version of winter bird I just lose it. The arrangement, the way the sings it, her movements, THE INTRO WITH THE VIOLINS AND ORGAN OML, just everything. I instantly get hypnotized and I start to cry /srs. I think the place just enhances all of this. Beautiful beautiful beautiful
I did see her in Stockholm the 25 of August, I just call her our Queen of the North - Hello from Sweden 😃
omg! hello!☺️
When the purpose of the review is "a reaction" your presentation is excellent, honest, and well spoken. Give yourself a pat on the back and perhaps a well deserved drink of preference. Great job!
thank you!
FINALLY THE BEST LIVE EVER AAAAAAA
I’m glad you were able to react on this!!!
I am never prepared ... that small blond fairy hits you in the soul like a F***ing sledgehammer every time !!
The Nidarosdomen is still BY FAR my favorite performance of her
I just love her so much ❤️
Thank you for this!! 🥰😍
Yes this is perfection, if I’ve ever heard perfection 😀👍
The first time I listened to this performance I could not feel my legs when it ended 😂
The audience is full of her own people who just happen to be very reserved by nature. Aurora is the exception as she is very free.
yeah i’m sure they had to be quiet bc of the cathedral as well :) i was just messing around lol
I recommend It happen quiet live at The Current and The Seed (original video), she is a gem. I look forward to more reactions to this Nordic Goddess. Greetings from Argentina.
Your hair is fine, Beth! Thanks for the GREAT reaction!!
haha thank you so much!

thank you!! 💖
OK to answer your most comon question: how come it's like the original? well simply cuz she doesn't ''cheat'' on record, no tricky techno on her voice,. This concert is a master piece, the production, arangement, light, captation, and sound. I agree with you she seem nervous at some point, but hey who wouldn't be. first time with the orchestra and choire, for the national tv, some song have change key and/or tempo, so yes I guess she was less ''loose''
Cool to watch the all thing with you, and don't worry for being out of words some time, we all know what you mean... (and stop to worry about your hair, we realy don't minde about that;-) we -as Aurora's fan)
So now what is next? we'll be here :-)
that makes sense! she’s so talented :) and thank you so much 💕
How can she sound so close to the original? She has professional people working for her, professional sound engineers that know how to record live performances and put it all together for us to enjoy. Now, how Aurora can sound like Aurora, well now, that's magic.
the violin ending of murdersong here is one of the prettiest things i have ever heard!
Aurora es la mejor ,gran reacción ❤️❤️❤️
I think you're right that this was a Christmas concert. FYI, she has a couple Christmas songs from the 2020 album Juleroser, but they’re in Norwegian
- Det hev ei rose sprunge (ft. Herborg Kråkevik)
- Vinterens Gåte (The Riddle of Winter)
Also, her song Walking in the Air, which she sang at this concert, is from the movie The Snowman, which I guess is Christmasy.
Hi hello from 🇬🇧 great review, she is incredible, what a talent , mind blown ⚡️
I really like the long video formatt!
thank you !!
Life on Mars is by David Bowie
Excellent reaction. "Life on Mars" was written and composed by David Bowie. You should watch an even more stripped down version with Aurora playing the piano on NRK P3. Fun fact: Rick Wakeman accompanied David Bowie when he recorded it!
AURORA IS NOW 26 YEARS OLD AND FORM NORWAY
She makes 50 eyars old metal heads start to cry,we luve her!
Greatings from Satyricon and Dimmu Borgier head!
Luve and greatings from Norge.
beautiful yes wow that live performance is just epic definitely a big mark on her musical history!
Did you know already that Life on Mars is from David Bowie
Actually was searching from playlists do Bowie I first found Aurora. It was her playn piano on also
Life on mars is a cover of David Bowie. He's also a life worth exploring =)
You should also actually check out Maria Mena, amazing voice, she released her first international album in America with white turns blue, with some of her old classics and some new
About your opinion of the "unimpressed audience";
It is in a church, a cathedral ....respect and all.... and they are Norwegians, lol.
Btw, I saw tears amongst them so I hardly doubt they are untouched by this performance. ;)
Love her.
yes!
First we had Kate Bush, then Björk... now Aurora.... the progression of "Fairy Music"...
hiiii yes!!!!!
YES
Being a proud Norwegian watching this
YEEEESSSSSS
Please do the HAIK Concert next ✨
She just dropped a song she did for assassins creed
shoot ur right thank u for reminding me!
As for how is she that good? Must be something in the water in Norway. Check out Angelina Jordan as well, also for Norway.
Hi from Amsterdam one of two nights completed stay safe
You should react to her solo version of INTO THE UNKNOWN if you haven't already!
I don't know what you're listening to, but she definitely doesn't sound identical to her records. She sounds different and even better. 😁
I meant she hits the notes just as well
Please React to benjamin Clementine and to Kovacs such amazing artists yet painfully underrated
She's amazing, isnt she? :P
She is Gaia....
🤍🌕❄️
I absolutely love Aurora but there’s only one group that doe’s (walking in the air) better and that’s Celtic Woman
I don’t think speechless means what you thinks it means 🤣
hello :)
PLEASE react to Femme Fatale by Britney Spears ❤️❤
you have to look op eivør thru love sofar losangeles then
Think like this Aurora IS the original.😜 How about that.?
If you are impressed by Aurora’s range you have clearly not reacted to the phenominal Singer Dimash. He claims to be from Kazakhstan but I am convinced that he is actually an alian. His Vocaloca abilities totally out of this world. Among the great songs to react to there are SOS and Love is Like a Dream but I recommend his Sinful Passion first. Btw most of his performances can be found with English subs like this one is.
Sinful Passion: ruclips.net/video/kLxCjIHhV-g/видео.html
Her head voice and falsetto for me was better than Morissette
