"Nidarosdomen" = Nidaros Cathedral and "Nidaros" is the medieval name of the city of "Trondheim" in Norway where the cathedral is located.
There were 1100 people in the audience for this performance on Nov 2nd 2017 (5 year anniversary recently), and those tickets was sold out in like 4 minutes.
This concert was denied at first by the church administration on the grounds that it did not meat the criteria for use of the church: It should provide room for wonder, faith and hope (apparently they never listened to Aurora's music). The festival arranging the concert appealed to the parish council and it was unanimously approved.
I highly recommend this a cappella version of "Through The Eyes Of A Child" youtu . be / CFzExUN1N8I

This entire concert performance is nothing less than spectacular. It's an hour long and I highly recommend it. She also performs Murder Song and It Happened Quiet in the Nidarosdomen concert. I think I read somewhere that the halls of Nidaros Cathedral has a seven second resonance. ✌🏼

One of my totally favorite performances. For me it is masterpiece. Just everything. Her voice, expression, camera shots, song, lyrics, meaning - just amazing.
And yes Aurora is like anyone else - she is unique. It is not only about her music and expressions and how much she is "in the songs" but also about her personality. And her music and art looks for me like a just extension of her. She is very free and looks like in harmony with her music:). But is is only my opinion :).

This concert was at Nidaros Cathedral in Norway. The 1500 tickets for the concert sold out in 5 to 10 minutes when they went on sale. Aurora sings Bowie's "life on mars" at the end of this concert and it is just fantastic. Great reaction. Thanks.

Aurora is one of my top favorite female vocalist on the planet. (Actually my top 2 are both Norwegian, Angelina Jordan being the other but 10 yrs younger) This entire Nidarosdomen concert is simply and epic masterpiece of Aurora's stunning vocals and the entire production with the Orchestra, her band, the choir and the fantastic camera work as well as the acoustics of this Cathedral. Her Haik concert in the forest as well as the documentary that accompanies it are right up there too. Thanks for your reaction to Aurora.

Hi Ken, goosebumps and shivers all over my body - every single time I hear this song. I agree with you that AURORA is unique. I don't know any other singer who is so extraordinary and unusual. That concerns the versatility of the music and the lyrics and then her movements. This is not mainstream.
Nidarosdomen is a cathedral in Trondheim , Norway. As far as I know it is the largest cathedral in Norway.
AURORA is so deep into the story she's thinking about. Her facial expression is just the result. At that moment AURORA was somewhere but not in the cathedral. You saw her eyes. She was somewhere else. The song is her way of suicide prevention. A masterpiece. And you have to consider that she started writing this song when she was 9 years old. What child at that age thinks about this topic? And creates such a song as a result?
AURORA's voice is great and works phenomenal in the cathedral.
    -------------------------
There are three very unusual concerts by AURORA. One is in the Cathedral Nidarosdomen and the other in a forest where she played a lot as a child. The concert (HAIK) in the forest was organized by NRK TV. But it's not just a concert. They surprised AURORA with different things for a whole day. She was supposed to do a small concert (only 1 song) in front of two fans. Pure emotions, I can tell you that. Then a singer, Ane Brun, sang a song by AURORA just for her. Then another surprise and finally the concert in the forest (7 songs, approx. 40 minutes), which in itself is amazing, fantastic, enchanting... The most important thing about the documentary (38 minutes) are the interviews that are conducted in the car on the way. There you can learn a lot about AURORA.
    - AURORA HAIK Full Version - ruclips.net/video/n_uW-0HDWoc/видео.html - approx. 1h:16m
    - AURORA - Live in Nidarosdomen [Full concert] - ruclips.net/video/XXVwFvkNTEg/видео.html
    - AURORA - Somewhere Else Festival | 2020 - ruclips.net/video/QPQ0zSVzod0/видео.html - a concert, during the lockdown, without a public
    ---------------------------
Three important bits of information I found from another commenter:
    1. -- In a recent interview she said "well, the last song I wrote is meant for my 7th album.” -
AURORA's latest album, the fourth, was released on January 21, 2022. She's already in the planning for the 7th.
    2. -- AURORA was a teen when she answered the question "are some of your songs related (on different albums)?" - it will all make sense when I have finished. -
AURORA has a plan and we don't know the destination yet. But it is important to know that everything belongs together.
    3. AURORA is holding back one song from every decade of her life to release those songs as the last album after her death.
    Which artist does that?
Have a nice day and a nice Christmas time
    Greetings from Germany

When stepping into Aurora-land, you could do a lot worse than start with _this_ very performance.
It's usually my go-to when trying to quickly convert someone in one video.
But this whole concert is mindbogglingly good. I've seen Tool live twice....and Smashing Pumpkins live. But, the whole Nidarosdomen show is one of my top 5 concerts ever.....and I wasn't even there. It's that good. Beyond that, there's SO MUCH to dig into when it comes to Aurora.
I discovered her March 15, 2020....yeah I remember the date lol. It was lockdown and I stumbled across the Nidarosdomen concert. 1 hour later....I was BUZZING with inspired energy and head over heals in love with this new artist. It's been 2 1/2 years since then....and I'm now basically a full blown Aurora uber fan. Ask me the most miniscule random bit of trivia...and I'll have the answer without having to think lol. It's a bit of a cult....the W&W community, but our cult leader is damn near a literal Bodhisattva, so it's all cool. ;P
Seriously though, Aurora is hands down one of my favorite artists ever....and one of my favorite human beings ever.
Just warning you....this rabbit hole goes DEEP, if you so desire.....

Speaking of the camera work, I have watched this full concert many times, and the many, many different camera angles from up close and all around, left right and center, to up high in the ceiling, zoomed in and faraway, are simply incredible. And other than the one directly in front of her below the stage which briefly appeared, I have never spotted a camera. Maybe I'm blind, but unlike many live, open performances with this many different viewpoints, you just aren't aware of them.

The whole venue is outstanding in camera, sound and very professional musicians, and the acoustic of the cathedral (the tail is 7 seconds long). Concerts like this is a very rare thing for this place of christian worship and it is a proof of Aurora's high standing in the Norwegian cultural society.

This whole concert at Nidarosdomen is amazing, every song is so beautiful 😍
She wrote “Lucky” when she was only 9 years old😳
She explained the song's meaning to The 405:
"It's about realizing that you've been through dark tunnels in life, but still walking forward, both feet strong. We are all lucky to be alive, it's an important thing to remember."
I’ve talked to people that says they don’t like watching her live because of her hand movements, to me that’s one of the things that makes her so unique and such an amazing artist ❤️
    Could you please react to:
“Through the eyes of a child” live from Nidarosdomen

For a born and raised metalhead(1986), Aurora is a breath of fresh air compare to the bubblegum POP industry now days in my eyes, ears and emotions. She does thing's HER way! She write her own songs, she says NO when producers want's her to sound and act a certain way. I think that is why I really enjoy her music. For me it feels like the music she produces is like the old days (make's you think).... Unlike most pop music - witch is created JUST to make money and fame for the artist and producers!
