  • I don't like electrical problems after my Yamaha XV950 Bolt caught fire so I have a qualified motorcycle electrician visit me to remove the regulator/rectifier from my bike and test. I knew the problem stems from that area but needed for professional help. 2 of the wires had a poor reading so he will find out if an aftermarket rectifier would be better than an OEM.
The EVAP charcoal filter can be removed as it causes poor engine tick over and running problems. there is a deletion kit available on EBAY.

My Interceptor developed an issue with the reg/rec. It took longer than usual for the red light to go out. Got my dealer to have a look at it whilst they had it in for a service. They concluded that it was taking some charge in, but not working fully. They put in a warranty claim on my behalf & although it did take a couple of months for the new unit to arrive, it was sorted under the warranty. I was still using the bike & I never had an instance where the battery was flat or the bike wouldn’t fire up.
This is the only problem I have encountered with my Interceptor, it is coming up to 4 years old in a few weeks, last week it passed the 16k mile mark. Hope you get yours sorted successfully.

I'm having the same issue. I was wondering if it was the stator, but seems to be a collective issue with the RR. I'll be installing the new RR today

What's the update on this for you? I am changing my battery and RR too. Was the evap giving you problems and now its.....rectified? 😅 I may need to do the same

Haven’t looked at my Evap canister , where did you source the deletion kit from?

It's from abroad and around £24 on ebay. It 2 pipes that block the fuel injection outlets. The other part is a cap that makes the wiring harness water tight. You might get away with 2 plastic caps and a plastic bag to cover the harness
