Same thing happened to my 2020 int650 at 11000km just a few days ago.

Not a good move,Poor Airflow will not help the unit to keep cool,R/R units usually fail because of low battery voltage,Poor \ corroded terminals causing them to overheat internally.

Sadly Avon tyres closed its UK manufacturing facilities last year. Used Avon on most of my bikes since the 1980s but won’t be using them anymore wherever they land up being produced. They made excellent tyres and helped keep people in jobs over here was my reason for using. Real shame but have used MAXXIS as well as Bridgestone occasionally in the past so not all is lost…😂

This beast was on show at Tobacco Docks London Motorcycle Show 1 week before I bought it. BHC Motorcycles build some excellent bikes.

Did you have to remove the rear wheel to remove the rectifier? Or how did you remove the original one? Just from the bottom?

What's the update on this for you? I am changing my battery and RR too. Was the evap giving you problems and now its.....rectified? 😅 I may need to do the same

I fitted an optimate on my bike and after the red light was and not charging when i checked. And did take that out and put it back and light went out but come back on again straigt away but i never cleaned so i hope it's just that.

I love this bike. I had a blue ‘79 which I restored and rode as my first bike in the early 00s. It was wonderful.

Mine will cut out in neutral if I drop side stand, not really a problem

Automatic engine shut-off when you drop the side-stand is a feature, not a bug. It can be a safety issue to try to drive around with the side-stand down. Surely you don't want to do that. My other modern bikes have done exactly the same, such as my 2002 Honda CB750.

Did you have to manage the clutch cable at all mine rubs a bit had to zip tie it back its still to close for comfort

My mate gad a gearbox failure under warranty & it took 8 months to fix they were sending cogs out bit by bit. Another had to wait 3months for a rim & light & brake caliper etc.

Hit a Rutt most likely next to grassy area.Might of flooded bike when tipping over. Electric starts are always good.

Haven’t looked at my Evap canister , where did you source the deletion kit from?

My Interceptor developed an issue with the reg/rec. It took longer than usual for the red light to go out. Got my dealer to have a look at it whilst they had it in for a service. They concluded that it was taking some charge in, but not working fully. They put in a warranty claim on my behalf & although it did take a couple of months for the new unit to arrive, it was sorted under the warranty. I was still using the bike & I never had an instance where the battery was flat or the bike wouldn’t fire up. This is the only problem I have encountered with my Interceptor, it is coming up to 4 years old in a few weeks, last week it passed the 16k mile mark. Hope you get yours sorted successfully.
