Ikaris, the most complex character of the Eternals, put himself in loneliness for not having conflict with purpose, never live with humans, and never felt love for humanity, only for maintain his loyalty to Arishem and Ajax, only to feel that he was betrayed for Ajax and his family, had no choice that fight against them, but the love that he had for Serci, made him help them and betray himself, feeling he has no purpose and he don't belong to Earth or anywhere, flew to the sun, to burn his being until be nothing.
A lot of people hate Ikaris but look at it from his perspective he’s known about the emergence for 5,000 years and he couldn’t tell anyone then 7 days before the emergence Ajak was like no we need to stop it but Ikaris was loyal to her for years even when it wouldn’t let him have his own happiness he probably felt betrayed
that's what i been saying to everyone but they were like he killed her, so what ajak has been destroying so many worlds before coming to earth and by doing that she allows all of her family members getting memory wiped(literally killing them) if not she is the worst mother to ever exist. she is far more worse than the mother from moon knight.
I'm absolutely speechless this was magnificent I love the way you edited his character you have a real talent at storytelling. I think this one might have become my new favourite of yours 💙
He was a soldier not a warrior, that's why he's porpuse was never in himself but for others which is the celestials particularly arishem just like what a soldier is. this was a representation of how soldiers obey the command first because that's what the meaning of their existence any doubt will only lead to their own destruction or demotion.
solider or no solider, warrior or no warrior. What he didn't do like the rest of getting the experience that the rest of them did. The experience of being a human feeling love and etc., ikaris isolated himself.
@@karji0921 well Ikaris is not even human or the rest of them. He's a sentient being created to follow arishem. He was just doing what he was created to do.
This is really amazing man, one of the best Ikaris tributes out there for him, i really liked how you included bits from i think Last Night In Soho, really great addition !
Indeed you proved me again the great editor you've become, beautifully crafted but the thing that impress me the most is the fast you can do something that good, bravo Kyrex 👏👏👏
A relatable character. Connor from Detroit Become Human Ignis from Final Fantasy XV Rorchach from Watchmen all lived for bigger things than themselves. While the vast majority is enjoying their free, pleasured lives for themselves among the sins of the unjust. Their duty to truth, order, justice and their purpose for a bigger grand plan that demands sacrifice from them the most is inspiring and meaningful to me.
Great video. Just saying....Ikaris was right ! Arishem's plan brings balance (creation and destruction) to the universe. The end of one life is the beginning of another. That's how nature works. Who are the Eternals to think they know better than a being billions of years old ? The end of life on Earth would mean the creation of many other worlds. There's a strong "greater good" argument for Ikaris and Arishem. The writers of this film only touched on these concepts, but weren't capable of really letting the audience decide for itself.
Is it just me who felt Ikaris was really so much like a robot which he actually is? He failed his task and it was as if he was programmed by Arishem to self destruct if he fails to carry forth the emergence, Ajak and ikarus were like the true leaders of eternals but ikaris always saw things balck or white which more or else gave really small hints he was as synthetic being
Me too. The other Eternals wanted to stop the birth without thinking about the consequences. One planet has disappeared and the universe is full of planets. Phastos was unable to grasp the broader perspective As Ikaris said, the heavens are like an ocean that gives life and takes away.
He mirrors betrayal, selfishness and foolishness of a person, be it in the family. I like him for his character and design is just like us humans sometimes but annoying. He betrayed his family and is willing to kill, Just like phastos said "he was pathetic" pathetic for not thinking the cost of his steps. He didn't think about ajak hurting for millions of years, its not just him who is hurting. Ajak endured seeing life being destroyed by just one single birth of a celestial having conscience and guilt and having no courage to tell arishem about this. I like the decision of kingo They are the same Loyal to arishem but kingo loved his family so he never fought and leave while ikaris is a fool and he regret it in the end Killed himself in the sun to forget killing ajak and hurting the family. I like how eternals mirrors a normal scenerio of a family.
Ajak was the one who ordered ikaris to keep the truth about the emergence a secret from his family for all those years until recently she decided to come clean to them now and stop the emergence while ikaris wanted to spare all of them( especially Sersi) of the pain.

Holy moly that was so precise! I wish more people who watched eternals would understand and appreciate the characters as you do. :D
He stalled them for emergence.

Ikaris really followed Ajak to the end.
He's the best character in the movie

I say it again, you’re way too kind Dara. But I’m so happy to see you enjoyed it ❤️

I understand what you are saying in the mythical sense, but you don't know many combat vets do you?
A soldier is a warrior. Obviously you don't know what you're talking about.

Purely used footage from Eternals, haven’t seen Last Night in Soho, but I appreciate the thought! 🙌🏻 Glad you enjoyed ❤️
@@kyrex77 oh really? looks so similar to a shot in that movie, none the less, great job mate!
@@JSFilms4K well if so its just a weird coincidence lmao. Now I’m curious to what shot it is, what timestamp?
@@kyrex77 after looking back at it the shot is a little different but the shot timestamp is 00:08:08
This is the best Ikris edit video I have seen so far! Love Ikaris!
This has to be the best Icarus tribute Ive seen hell even the best Eternals edit. Great work buddy very impressive 🤯
best one I've seen thus far. you are talented at story telling
Indeed you proved me again the great editor you've become, beautifully crafted but the thing that impress me the most is the fast you can do something that good, bravo Kyrex 👏👏👏

Wonderful job Kyrex. I seriously enjoyed this!
and I’m happy you did Jon ❤️ Thank you 🙌🏻
Richard Madden was really good in this. Glad I didn’t listen to other reviews.
Get the hot plate, kyrex has cooked another mastercrafted edit
You’re too kind Chrisper 🙏🏻
This is a phenomenal edit... the pacing and cohesion of events captures Ikaris's struggle perfectly 👌🏻

Thank you for your support as always Malin! ❤️
This was really well done!
That was Awesome, keep up the good work
I don't usually comment but damn this was good!
Absolute masterpiece 😲✨
Ikaris can't die from the sun, so i'm guessing he would have just popped out the other way
No actually in the MCU , the director confirms that ikaris dies.
Amazing edit. I'm going to use some of it to make my own.

this is so so good!!
Ikaris was right and no one can change my mind.

What's the soundtrack at 3:05??
Reach - Eternal Eclipse ;)
Thanks
My understanding so far I stand on the side of Arishem we need the celestials and they need us
