Ivar never killed anyone one on one combat.Apart from a child when he was a child himself. I fail to see why the English didn't simply shoot him full of arrows in York.The sadistic things he did to already conquered enemies was just simply cruel and sure he was a good tactician but he never had any skin in the game until the last, when he cried like a baby when he was going to die.
