I brought AirPods. They are more comfortable because of the lack of wires however because it only connects to the ears, the AirPods became uncomfortable on my ears. I still love wired headphones over wireless as long as I live. They sound better and there cheaper for music playing. Skullcandy wired is always my #1 favorite I'm still using them now and it's my prefer than anything else
Yeah I occasionally bring my old (came with one of my iPhones old) EarPods if I plan on being out all day and will need headphones that don’t need a charge but even then I don’t love being wired in
Airpods (i only have the pros but i think for the base models too) don't have a logo either. I think the wired ones are priced reasonably because you'll be much more likely to buy airpods down the road. Great video!
Aaron, you must be reading my mind. Just picked up a pair of cheap Sonys from Best Buy, on the strength of a coworker. He isn’t tech savvy, and uses wired headphones, but didn’t have his on him. So he asked me. Got me thinking….I needed a low tech backup just in case. But really been thinking about the best quality-to-value. Thanks for this bud!
I’m subscribing because this was good information and you refer to yourself as a reviewer, not an influencer…. Because people that refer to themselves as influencers are giving themselves far too much credit. P.S. The Bluetooth non wired EarPods fall out of my ears. It was $200+ down the drain.
OMG I love Monty!! I’m waiting for you to get to the Skull Candy lightening before ordering🤞 I had the Sony MDR-XB55. PERFECT for the $55 price tag. Absolutely LOVED them. Great bass and the volume goes high enough that I actually have to turn it slightly down. I’ve bought about 7 of them over the years and now they’ve 🤬 discontinued them! Unbelievable. So I bought their WI-C100 figuring they’d be at least as good but probably better. But noooooo. The max volume isn’t loud enough and the bass is disappointing.
so after using some bang and olufsen headphones and earphones, some sennheiser iems and some beats fit pros. I always come back to the earpods for having the reliability of the wire and best comfort as well as open airy sound. And as they are considerably cheaper than the others. I am not always worrying about losing them. Haven't really got a reason to upgrade to airpods other than the wireless freedom but I don't want the stress anymore of having to look after expensive headphones
I'm not sure whether the apple earpods are great value due to not having an apple logo as the design is so iconic that everyone can tell they are apple earpods, but I think they cannot charge too much as they are included with many phones from 2012-2019 so lots of people already have them as part of their iphone purchase.
Have used Palovue in the past, very good price for the quality. Was hoping to see some others here as well like the beats. Maybe sennheiser for super high end. I picked up a RAYZ pioneer plus for the ability to charge, price is not worth it IMO but the sound quality is much better
Couple is things Im experiencing. 1. I can’t just plug and hear anyone on face time. Or anything. I have to hang up, plug in. Connect. Then call back. With wired earbuds I find strange. 2. With the Earbuds already plugged in, and iPhone 14 is in sleep mode, the earbuds don’t work unless I unplug and then plug back to make connection. What am I doing wrong?
Wired earbuds aren't meant to be used during high movement activities. One tip to avoid the cable dangling into your arms and other objects is to pass the cable underneath your shirt, this creates a barrier between your cable and everything else. I disagree with most people's take that TWS is better than wired. While bluetooth is more convenient wired is cheaper, better sound quality, better mic, better value all around. People love to complain about dealing with the wire. Learn to wrap the wire properly, stop pulling the wire out of your ears, and be more mindful; it's not that hard not to tangle your wire. Plus, when talking about iems, a good pair will last you longer, at most you might only need to replace the detachable cable, and they are a better value than even AirPods/Pro; iems don't require noise canceling or transparency mode. Then again this is all just my (unpopular) opinion.By the way, you cannot compare an earbud that hangs on your ear with things that are meant to go inside your ear.
I use wired headphones only when I don’t do activities that involve moving a lot. Unless I wear a jacket during said activities that involve moving a lot. Also I use the Apple EarPods just because I got it by chance. They work wonderfully well.
Right, I think the wired ones have better mics. The mic on the AirPods, especially if you play games, is kinda bad. But it would be cool if they came out with a better version of the wired earphones. It may not be popular but I’d at least try them since I use the apple ones.

No, You're not speaking for everyone, I do like tws while traveling or workout, but wired iems offer much more than tws for the asking price and are more durable, for example I've changed 3 different pairs of tws (twice the price of Arias) buds while my Moondrop Arias are still fine. I do perfect tws and neckband earbuds for some tasks but they can't compete with wired iems at the same or even half their price in terms of music quality.
I have broken 3 nano armor three screen protectors and just ordered my third replacement. This is just from carrying around the phone in a bag. Can you suggest an alternative as these crack easily. I am not having the same results as you.
If you are going to go wired, get a 3.5 pair with and adapter it will give you a much better selection of headphones like e.g kz zn pros would probably decimate any of these with a much lower price. Also if you are going to work out with them feed them through your shirt?
I’d like to see which wired headphones you could sleep with. With your head on the side, on both sides laying down, of course... Can’t find anything on it and also that has a good mic and sound quality close to Apple earpods while being on a phone call. Love the review and was looking to something comparable to Apple EarPods. I guess I’ll stick to the Apple ones. Thanks.
You can pull wired headphones from my cold, dead hands. Charging headphones is such a massive inconvenience. If I forget and can’t access my music, my day is ruined beyond repair.
I went back to the Apple ear pods lighting connector because I went through 5 pair of the Apple wireless some working past 2 months I do run a lot and sweat a lot so I am pretty rough on them.
I went back to wired mainly because I prefer my higher quality IEMs (which you can get better sound more suited for one’s audio taste give or take the $30 mark) for music. That said there is some magic in the Apple mic. I often use an Apple wired set for calls. They sound better than any BT mic.
