Many people forget BOSS GT-1000 when comparing modelers. In my oppinion BOSS GT-1000 is at least as good as the best ones and its very underated, perhaps because doesnt get clorful dolls... Cheers from Portugal 🤘🍺🇵🇹
Fractal is the king, and you're paying Fractal prices for this thing that has less capabilities. Trust me a touch screen is a nice gimmick and even a feature, but only if the modeling and feature-set comes first, and the company supports it with regular and rigorous refinement of their existing offerings. That said, if you just scurry behind Fender's buttckeeks hoping to catch whatever you can that drops out, this thing doesn't sound bad.
The Fender tone master pro sounds great on clean and metal tones, Fender has come a long way now even for metal since the machete amp, the EVH unit now, I would love to own it but it is $1800 USD. Great review as usual bro.
But will Fender support the unit long-term? Fender's track-record is terrible wrt long-term support for digital devices. In comparison my Kemper that I bought in 2012, a couple years after its initial launch, has received a steady stream of updates and improvements since. A major new feature, Kempers take on modelling called liquid profiling, was released just recently. The TMP has great layout and UI, plus processing power to provide the best spillover when switching presets. Soundwise it has otherwise nothing over the competition.
@@phel21 time will tell for sure. Seems a little gimmicky to me at this point. I have a quad cortex, which I'm super happy with. Already invested in that device, and not planning on Switching.
I've been meaning to ask. That's all you do? A type of power Amp pedal and the real cabinet and your good?. I'm assuming you turning the cabinet off in modelor correct? Anything else to know? I love it dude Id like to try it. Thank you.
For the same price one can buy a Marshall studio 20w (Silver Jub ou 800, for exemple) + the matching cab + Boss Me90 for effects... 🤔 Cheers from Portugal 🤘🍺🇵🇹
I still hate that chanel selection isn't able to be done inside the same amp on any of the modelers captur/profile devices or amp sims. I wish companies would stop separating them
@@apoplexiamusicdefinitely not. Its more code requireda d a heavier load when the user interacts will the UI to go back and select another amp/channel.
Well it sure has some great features but i stick on my boss ME-50😂 just would be curious if some company would make an multi fx unit featuring only modulation delay and reverb on their own with on/off switches..maybe a wah pedal also but not an od/distortion section, cos i've allready have 2 amps that has very giod own ds/od channels
Kind of sounds like a Pod XT Live or something. They're kind of late to the game, it makes me wonder if they just didn't pay Donner to make this for them or something. I'm not suse the market needs yet another device like this. This looks like a "me too" product.
Isn't Fender struggling with over-stocked products post pandemic? Is this an attempt to regain some cash flow/profits? Are these types of products cheaper to manufacture than amps and guitars? Eh, sounds good, or at least you make it sound good. Great demo/review as always.
Just when I thought I was good on gear god dammit !!! I liked the mustang v4 line they were good for the time - I imagine these Fender have spent the time and got the tones right
Stoopid metal kids and your chugga-chugga 🤣 This Fender jobbie is pretty bangin'! More amps, more routing options and bam, QC is beat. It is a cool unit
stoopid fender fan/g//hey look at how many amps u get w this ovepriced junk 27... u can get that for a hundred bucks limited options and a copy of Quad Cortex, Neural DSP shits all over fender tone master

It costs almost €2000 here in Germany, which is quite a lot in my opinion
I have one ordered here in Belgium for 1650
just get the Quad Cortex
Best video i've seen done on the unit so far. man would love to see a quality sound comparison of it vs the cortex and the axe fx.

Definitely buying one of these in the next couple years. I always flip flop on what I’d want for an amp and I think this is my solution.

Nicely done. What poweramp pedal are you using?
I have the same question. Lol
As you posted this, I got an email from neural DSP stating they’re dropping the price of the quad cortex. Clearly they’re worried

Sounds really good and looks very well done that UI is really amazing
I'm surprised that Fender hasn't done this sooner. They own some great amps, and they have the capital to support this device for years to come.

It pains him to play clean, please note the strength in took in doing so.
so?
@@SirPraiseSun so what? Lol Do you even what this channel regularly?
i like this video. you did a great job!
Love the hardware and UI.
Witch do you think is better tone-x of tone Master? There's a big price difference
You missed exploring the medium overdrive tones and filters... I missed that in this review. I'll wait for the next video.
Lol. You won’t find that here. Go elsewhere

Looks cool but I don't think it competes feature or sound wise with the Headrush Core.
The core is about $800 cheaper too
The layout and UI is fantastic. The tones... no better than my Boss Katana.
The price: ridiculous.
2000€ I must say that minimum wage in portugal is 760€...NO
Wicked !!! Cant wait to see more on this
Sounds really good!

Maybe it’s a CPU or memory limitation thing?

You can try the line 6 hx effects. No Wah, but it has all of the modulations, reverbs, and delays and effects of the helix

This sounds like the unit that will convert even the most die hard "no clean tones" person into a post rock ambient dude

I don't know ANY good modeling product from Fender, so I'm veeeery sceptical about this stuff...
For Fractal prices... I'd always buy Fractal.
Yep. You can find used axe Iii at this price
Message for mister Antonio Banderas: please put metric weight on the videos too. 8lbs 15oz = 4 Kg.
This look quite promising. Kudos to the guitar industry for innovating!
$1699 us
The sound of this processor is awful I must say, sounds like a chip processor from the 2000s (or like Mustang)
I think it sounds like any other high end modeler esp from all the reviews they all have a fizzy sound

There's a parameter to shut the tap tempo light off
