Y'know, I'm suprised this series didn't continue ever since Equestria Girls and newer ponies of the time were Introduced and felt like missed opportunity. And yes; this version of Rainbow Dash was the *OG* Sans before he was 20% cooler years later!
I'm glad the series ended the way it did. reading the Ask Jappleack blog leading into this videos release you really got to see how he could go beyond the crude humor. the blog, which ended up becoming a story comic after the release of shed, had the same level of wholesome and epic as this, but those of following along got to see that first. So when this came out it was like "YES!". also, scootaloo telling rainbow she believes in her was just so emotional. the voice actress put so much into that single scene that i just tear up a bit every time.
