    What i like to do is wrap the band around my body, and hold the two ends of the band with my hands, that way i can do full shadow boxing. Nice explanation (:

    I can't tell you how impressed I am that ICE doesn't take the bait on any of these inflammatory comments.
    It seems that there's always someone who wants to tell others how "something" won't work or how their style is superior to all others.
    My philosophy is to learn where I can and respect all who take the time to share.

    Nice video and exercise example. Good that you touched on the middle truck/spine and lower extremities and how they effect the person's ability to punch. Without good, strong glute medius & max for hip extension/external rotation, proper pivoting at the feet and a mobile core to create the transverse rotation needed to generate torque, a punch is just a weak arm punch vs a full body punch. Looking forward to seeing what kind of exercises you would advise to improve those bio mechanical aspects of the human body. If you already have some, let me know.

    This concept works well. I was a professional boxer and a professional MMA Fighter. Good video. It hits all the major points you need to make this work. I would suggest putting the handle on the outside of the arm to help keep your wrist straight and take pressure of your thumb. That can add up after a while and start messing with your joint. Great video. Thank you for posting.

    I like the weights better because you also have to use more strength in keeping your hands up. I also hit some muscles in my back from the "pulling punches back to chin" motion. You're only getting resistance in one direction with bands.. If you have a pool, you can do uper cuts , hooks, etc ... Water training makes you Roy Jones Jr fast.. In fact, thats what he use to do.

    I use resistance bands,I never tried dumbbells but I think people did that to streghthen the shoulders to stay up.cool video glad I found it,I been practicing clap pushups and I got so good I do it inclined for 30 seconds then 30 second rest and repeat till I can't do no more

    Buyin these bands now, i was using weights but i wasn't seeing much improvement in power, hope this changes things =)

    Dang it, you guys beat me to the dummy with the arms. Good explanation on the gravity. However, your description confused me since I thought Jeet Kune Do means style with no style.

    I like the exercise. But what i just want to say is that the most important thing is for me to mantain the distance. I mean what I punch, i coordinate the footwork togheter with the hips. I step forward everytime because the problem is not the mechanic or the strenght of the punch, but to gt close to your opponent.anyway nice practice

    queria aprender esses golpes como eu faço? moro no brasil franca são paulo tem um dvd ou mesmo um video que aprenda os golpes lentamente.tem um pouco de muay thai e mma eu gostei muito . a pratico muay thai a 2 anos.

    street fight? do you know the implications of a street fight? death, prision etc. maybe you should refer to it as self defense, all your doing is basically giving jkd fan boys a free ticket to street fighting. I wonder if you take responsibility when the jkd fan boys are sitting in a jail someone being done for murder?
