Great explanation! Just started learning & reading about this in Bruce Lees Fighting method (Jeet kune do) in the book it’s called ‘The Burst’. Really helpful to see a good video example of the body dynamics involved in the move. The book is very good but unfortunately sometimes I find still photos and written words only go so far to teach a novice, and its easy to misinterpret the action. Subscribed to your channel!

After the burst is done what is your follow up-could be a snapping sidekick or a lead rear combo.

There's no gap to close, just walk away. If he really want's to hurt you he'll close the gap himself for you.... and then you just intercept him on his preparation.
