I really want one. I'm not sure if I should go for the 690. Is the 390 fast? Does it rip wheelies? I've watched hours and hours of videos of the 390. Please tell me it's quick?!
I'm about to sell my dr650sm this summer to pick up one of these 2016 models. Got about 2k of mods planned for it too. I think it will be the perfect hooligan bike for the streets. Great video.
+WeNeedASaga Yeah the majority of the mods are stuff like frame sliders, levers, and other odds and ends, but I plan to get an exhaust, fuel programmer, and some intake mods. the bike really doesn't need much looking at the specs.
It manages to be the best in its class considering price, performance, handling and the confidence it inspires, leaving comfort and quality to Ninja 300 and R3.
Quality? like the awesome chasis? The intricate swing arm? (have you seen the basic swingarms on the kawi and r3) tyres? ABS toggle on and off? Maybe the Indian market ones aren't quality tested as much but the ones in the West have no quality issues mate...oh and the centre console features?
there's no ktm dealers near me so I had to pay an extra $100 for them to ship it to me assembled and ready to ride and wholly shit did it get a luxury transport to me super nice clean trailer both wheels where chucked ulin so no strap was needed they had a cover over top of the bike and they gave me the cover along with it....I will never forget that but I did forget what dealer it was from ;(
Nice video man. But there is some minor gear box issues in 390 duke as well. As its been almost a year since I brought it. But its not very consistent and happens once in a long while. The gear indicator shows no gear and you are stuck b/w neutral and first gear.
+Simranpalsingh Kohli Thanks for the kinds words mate. As for it's performance, it depends what you're comparing it to I guess. Like I said in the vid, it's a nice light bike so it definitely makes the most of what it has. The acceleration and braking feel good. Handling is hard for me to say because I only really got to try city riding and so can't comment on what it's like when you lean on it a bit more. At town speeds handling is fine. Hope that helps!
hmmm not really. If your pillion is quite small maybe, but two full sized adults are going to be very cramped. It would probably be ok around town but not for any great distance.
I have a 2016 model, and it's a perfect little ride around the twists and turns here in the uk 😃

Just got one with only 900 miles it's mint.
tbh one of the very best reviews out there for this bike. Loved your videos man. keep it up and subbed👌
+Rahul Nair wow, thanks dude! Really appreciate the comment! I hope you like the future videos too.

+MotardSteve sounds like a plan dude! the bike was pretty fun straight out of the box - i'm sure it'll be awesome fun with a few mods on top!

made in india but the western countries get it quality assured in austria first.
are the bikes sold in Europe and Turkey made in India? this sucks ((

sounds like an awesome experience! I wish all dealerships were like that.

That's annoying! Was the dealer able to help with your problem?
Nope... Two services are already over.
I guess its a design glitch. But otherwise the bike is great
hi! nice review!
i would like to ask how many miles/km would you recommend for the running in time?
Thanks! glad you enjoyed it. I have no idea for the running in time sorry mate. I would ask your dealer or check the owner's manual for details.
Nice review how is the throttle response, handling and breaking?

Hi there thanks a lot for the feedback :) about to buy it and put a nice kit on it and make it look like the big one :)
Nice one! Have fun :)
Thanks you :)
Well, not bad. I heard you saying you're 6'6" - which is fairly tall. If you're comfy on it, at 6' - I should be too..
yep - I think a 6' person would be fine on this bike
mann i want to get this one as my first bike!!
I think it'd make a great choice dude. they are super fun.
@WeNeedASaga it may have a 11 ltr tank but i use to have one and it was great on fuel.
+BREN AU85 ah cool, thanks for confirming. I figured being so light they'd be pretty good on fuel...
you should test the cbr650fl!
+sheldonhkrw yeah they look fun! Do you have one, or do you want to know more about them?
is it suitable for 2 people?
hmmm not really. If your pillion is quite small maybe, but two full sized adults are going to be very cramped. It would probably be ok around town but not for any great distance.
Duke is actually lot cheaper in India then the ninja 300.
+Allan Francis Xavier oh really? cool, even more reason to get one!
Made in India B)
Ankit Verma it's just assembled not made in india it's made in Austria idiot...
