Lucid Planet II - Full Album and Visual Experience (Progressive / Psychedelic / Tribal / Metal)

  • 'Lucid Planet II' is our long-awaited sophomore album, combining influences of psychedelic bass music with djent, tribal, and progressive rock for a divergent sound that interfuses genres. Intense, heavy rock melds with clean, delay-driven psychedelic soundscapes, aiming to produce a meticulously crafted, kaleidoscopic experience.
Weaving heavy riffs and atmospheric soundscapes with tribal beats and psychedelic bass music, this album deep-dives into our signature sound with a decidedly progressive approach. The outcome is a musical journey both classical and dynamic; a singular and cohesive work.

Our world is full of extraordinary magic, but it often exists alongside despair and discontent. We all carry our silent struggles like well-guarded secrets, kept inside and held alone. To cope with the suffering we construct lives around us, personalities and partnerships that buffer us from the world outside. However, over time, if we find that these paths no longer serve us, it is an act of courage to let go and allow ourselves to be vulnerable to change.
The classical concept of the "hero's journey" describes the individual's path from suffering to transformation. But what if this is only a partial view of the human experience? If we take a step back, we see that our individual transformation is actually part of a greater narrative - a global transformation. Even our smallest actions are contributions to a brighter collective. The words you speak, the energy you encourage, the spirit of your work - these can be your art, your offering, your invitation for others to do the same.
Enter the unknown with your heart open and barriers down. We invite you into our new world where you are free to lose yourself in the journey, leave your burdens behind, and arise renewed on the other side.

Hi guys, I just want to let you know we have been reading your comments and thoughts and guys, I really don't know what to say. We are so deeply touched by some of your thoughts. It means so much to us that after the work that has gone into this to make it all happen, the response has been so overwhelmingly positive, and you guys are leaving such beautiful and interesting responses. Had a thought guys, because you are an independent band and rely on our support, there's a bunch of us here "tech minded" geeks who would love to donate to your band directly. I recommend googling "metamask", create a wallet, and paste the Ethereum wallet address on your youtube channel, not only will the donations come pouring in, but you will future proof the donations as ethereum matures over time. You will be in control of the funds without any 3rd parties involved. Crypto will be a mainstream payment option by next year with news of pay-pal jumping on board. Think of all the audio equipment you could purchase in the future :) anyways...... just a thought.

It's like if Mastadon, Puscifer, Tool, and a shaman all went into the desert and had a DMT fueled orgy, and this is their illegitimate love child. I can see why it took so long to release this album. It's so much more mature in every way. I can hear a ton of different influences in it from electronica, to middle eastern, and I think I even heard a tiny bit of reggae funk in "Offer" if I'm not mistaken. Not to mention the visuals broke my brain. I had to re-learn how to write for this comment. Absolutely fantastic job guys! I will be sharing this everywhere

My wife and I are about to have our firstborn son born into this world. On the way to the hospital, this will be the album we listen to. The conversations within the lyrics will make our inevitable birthing journey that much more intense. It will be an album my wife and I carry with us forever as she will never forget it's timing to our son's birth. It's a truly magnificent piece of music as a whole and in my opinion, is the spiritual medicine I needed to re-realize the good to life. With COVID, it's so easy to think negative, but having great music + having a healthy baby + a healthy wife is quite literally everything. I praise God for the transformation within me to come. I can't wait. Thank you guys for putting together a truly magnificent album. One of the best I've ever heard and I'm grateful to be alive to hear it.

We couldn't ask for anything more than for people to say we have helped end it on a little brighter of a note. Best of luck with the huge journey you and your wife are about to undertake, good luck with the birth and thanks again for allowing us into such a special place for you and your wife.

    MASTERPIECE
God, i expected a Prog, Djentish album from you when i heard the two singles but DAMN, i really didn't expect THIS.
I thinked to myself ''Welp, this is probably gonna be better, this is gonna be a small step for them'' but Jesus Christ, this is something else.
I can't explain how much this blew my mind, from the beggining to the very last seconds of this record, this wasn't a small step, this was HUGE.
I really, REALLY can't explain how much this record amazed me, since the Djentish vibes from the opening and ending tracks, to straight up Psy Trance in Organic Hard Drive (For me, the best song in the whole record), to Reggae-ish chords in Offer, to the brilliant use of beats and synthesizers in Digital Ritual, just to name a few.
The whole record is consistent and flows like silk, every track is perfectly connected, the heaviness in the guitars and the bass is huge, the little electronic atmospherical arrangements, and the more ''Tribal'' playing of the instruments are really damn good!
Damn, there's a whole lot of great stuff on this that i haven't even mentioned, keep going like this and you will be huge in the future, i swear this is the perfect mix of electronic music, prog metal and tribal elements, literally music from the future and something that i would want to do too. Masterpiece, this and Ohms by Deftones definitely saved my 2020.
Good luck for you guys, i hope this band gets all the recognition it deserves and i'm pretty sure you guys will.

This album is unlike anything else I've heard.
Typically bands which take as much inspiration from Tool as the first album clearly did don't move too far past emulating Tool, but the growth from the first album to this is explosive and these guys really have found a new and unique sound they can call their own. It draws inspiration from as wide of sources as electronic, space rock, and even reggae, which are among my favorite types of sound.
Absolutely cannot wait for whatever is planned next. Whatever direction they take their music next, the only destination is the stars.

I can find elements of progressive metal that reminds me the kind of metal we can listen on 'Dream Theater' Nevertheless, this album is an unique piece and a fresh proyect that perfectly reflects what Lucid Planet has become to and what this band wants to transmit through its own music, not based in just one style. As we approach the one year anniversary of Lucid Plant II, I would like to reflect on all the joy this album has brought me. I was stuck in the mountains on a work project far away from home missing my family when the singles for Anamnesis and Zenith came out. I knew instantly the album would be a success so I pre-ordered and began telling all of my co-workers about it. This was during the height of the Covid pandemic and all of the stress that was brought upon by it. LP 2 arrived and gave me hope…not only for myself but for us as a species. We can make it through with love and compassion and a desire to better ourselves with creativity and the want to live!

This is really fucking good. I’ve been playing in a prog rock band for near on 20 years and my drummer was playing this yesterday at band practice and I’m like, who is this?! I ended up staying up until 1:30am last night listening to their stuff. I felt like messaging my band mates today and saying how much these guys are like us, except a LOT fucking better 😂

@Toxic Potato I mean I backed them on Patreon and have both their albums now. I also own Tool entire discography and have most songs completely memorized. I just don't see the resemblance. Not without Daniel their old vocalist.
The most I've heard from that opinion is odd time signature resemblance which isn't much to go off of comparison.

As a fan of progressive that I consider myself, I love bands like Tool, Porcupine Tree, Pain Of Salvation, Karnivool, Opeth and so... this is good as hell to be on that group of bands in my heart. The work here is awesome on any point. The art, the mixing, the layers in the voices, the different genres researched on a same album, the lyrics... everything makes me think on this a real masterpiece. I'm from Argentina and I'm going to see Tool and Karnivool in Europe 2022, would be the fruit in the desert to see you as well guys. Huge fan of Lucid Planet here!

i saw karnivool at newcastle nsw and i knew all the songs inside out so was a bit of a mosh demon outside of the mosh enjoing myself and the band said this songs for him but so stunned by what they said i had no reaction but later got some photos of my girl with them and even had a play on the drummers kit, thier to big now but it was awesome, the guitarist looked like he hadnt slept for days and all i could do was look and praise in my mind, the phone with the pictures was stolen and used in a court case against the thieves, overall karnivool are realy cool dudes when i met them,so proud to make contact with some of my idols, heres a tip after a gig of a rising band go back to the stage while they are pulling down after everyone has left its fun

Discovered this album yesterday through Spotify. Amazing. Love the different influences. The psytrance part with the guitars in Organic Hard Drive really takes me back to listening to old school Electric Universe and 1200 Micrograms. I can hear Tool and Ozric Tentacles. It's even got a small Shpongle-esque dub part! Really varied and interesting album. Can already tell I'm going to enjoy this in altered states. Bravo guys.

The first few times I listened to the new songs it was like I was being picked up with a spaceship and taken to another place, but not another planet or galaxy. More like taken to a place that is a weird void of consciousness, maybe the place of all consciousness. Then when the singles came out it was like the spaceship left without me. But now listening to the whole album, especially that glitchy part of Organic Hard Drive sucked me in again. It’s kind of a struggle to stay there but every now and then there is parts again that just suck me right back in and I can’t even resist it. On The Way is also one I cannot resist. Glad to hear that my CD is On The Way already as well. Wishing everybody a pleasant and intense ride through space and consciousness....

Since I'm a great fan of prog (Haken and Vulkan f.e.) but also really admire the quirky sounds typically used by the producer Tipper I melted in haunting extacy when listening to digital ritual for the first time!!! Thank you a lot for your creativity and courage when - instead of staying in the safe, consolidated confines of one genre - testing out your intuitions together!!!
