- Recorded in 1941. She has a very powerful voice. Unsure about who's plaing bass.
My first transfer after restoring the turntable, Thorens TD 124, and replacing the tonearm. Sound is somewhat improved.

That was more than "Okeh".
What a strong voice❤❤❤❤
Yes I agree!
Wow superb performance
You have a fine 78 there, of the Queen, thanks for sharing.
Chicago 21 May 1941, Okeh C-3371-1.
Minnie, vocals and lead guitar of course.
Ernest "Lil Son Joe" Lawlers, husband #3, rhythm guitar ("play it Sonny Joe").
String bass uncredited as usual. Maybe Bill Settles, but as likely Ransom Knowling, John Lindsay, Alfred Elkins, ... so often missing in the surviving studio notes.
Classic Minnie "Catch you messin' with my man I'll punch you in your nose" 🤣🤣🤣
Thank you! Yes, she recorded a lot but still they are not in a plenty. Thank you for filling in with more info. Do you mind if I copy your text to the record information?
Great song, Thanks.

This good stuff is finding its way to my feed. Awesome! When was this? I'm thinking the 1920's. Thanks!

@@acghifiaudio-vinyland78rpm53 Thanks again!
Can she be considered the "mother of the blues?" You betcha!
But she doesn't know who's the daddy.
Thank you for this
Recorded on May 21, 1941.
