I totally expected you to take at least one level of cleric and choose Tiamat as your deity in case there are dialog options in game. If you take the trickery domain one level and then go two levels of druid and take the land subclass you can get all of the elemental types pretty quickly, alongside the shapeshifting dragons are also known for via disguise self and wild shape. Three levels of monk, taking the elements subclass, would get you chromatic orb on short rest recharge via ki, as well as Wis to unarmored AC and Dex to melee attack/damage. Combine those and by level 6 you're a treacherous, chromatic force of nature at any distance, as any dragon should be. From there I'd go at least to monk 6 for extra attack and ki empowered strikes, then Land druid 5 and pick Mountain to get flight as a capstone at level 12, ending at Cleric (Trickery) 1 / Druid (Land) 5 / Monk (Elements) 6 as a well-rounded emulation of Tiamat herself. Who needs armor or weapons when you could just BE a dragon? Would be fun for a dark urge playthrough.
Please update this build go include at least 1 level in cleric! It'd be really nice yo get the Cleric of Tiamat dialogue since it makes sense to have this as Tiamat's chosen! Otherwise this is an absolutely amazing build that I'm really enjoying!👍👍👍

Hell yeah, a Dragonborn build! Probably my favorite class even though they're sort of lackluster. Congrats on 2k by the way, you definitely deserve it.
some tweaks I would make: Without asuming ethel boost, I would leave cha at 17, con at 16, dex at 14. I would take a +1/+1 to charisma and dex, and with the other feat I would take moderately armored. Draconic sorcerer scales work with a shield equiped (as it should), so we count grab katheric's shield to boost our AC and give us back the spell DC and attackroll we gave up. We would still deal less extra damage with our fire spells (+4 vs +5), but now we are much more survivable in general, and can wade into melee much more conformtably. It also opens up the possibility of exotic medium armor of agility, or the unwanted masterwork. Asuming ethel's boon, I would go 8, 14+1, 14, 10, 10, 15+2 (or some variation of 8 8 12), grab ethel's boon for 18 charisma, max charisma at 20, and then pick up moderately armored. We would give up 12 hp for +2 AC (at minimum) and a +1 spell DC (once again all from ketheric's shield). Using the shield would mean using something that isnt a 2handed weapon, but there are a lot of choices, and you could buff them all with the drakethroat glaive, or use flail of ages itself. There comes a point where the weapon's base damage becomes less impactful, because you stack so many riders on it. This is more susceptible to enemies with DR and resistance to that damage type, because its easier to nullify it. Or it could be just me not wanting to give up a shield if we arent going GWM
I just noticed the skyrim music in the background, very faint, but I clearly heard it. :P also love your sorlock. Also I think in 5th they have basically confirmed Tiamat is fully a goddess now. She cheated her way into divine ranks, but she has them.

Anytime i use the ring of arcane synergy, i look at Sorrow. it's an act 1 glaive that lets you cast Sorrowful Lash (thorn whip) as a bonus action every turn, this spell activates arcane synergy. and with the drakethroat you can add the element you want besides fire, then dip/coat, then... you get the idea. on my bard/lock it is competitive with Eldritch Blast.

My first and only character to get to act 3 was a pure ice draconic bloodline sorcerer dragonborn and there's another item (don't remember where or what slot) that also gives another Cha modifier to cantrips, so between that, the necklace and the lvl 6 draconic sorcerer ability you'd be getting 3d8+15 damage on an appropriate cantrip. Is it still as much as 3-target Eldritch Blast? Probably not, but it chunked enemies health. Combined with the item that creates an ice surface whenever you deal ice damage, Ray of Frost just took people out of play for a turn or two.
Could you do a deity build for Vlaakith, I rarely make Lae'zel a party member so I think it would be cool to have someone with a connection to the githyanki like she does if your not using her.
Great vid! Sadly Darkness isn't as good, the patch changed the AI so melee enemies don't care about darkness much. It's still good vs ranged enemies though, but the melee ones will run in and attack with both advantage and disadvantage (because both of you are blinded), so darkness doesn't make a difference. On a side note, I really wish they had items that supported Necrotic, Acid, Poison, etc. The items in this game really push you to go ice or lightning sadly. There's only a handful of other elemental damage items. Id love to make a Acid mage or a necrotic cleric or something. Anyway, just wanted to point out darkness + devil sight isn't so fantastic anymore. About the only good thing is, is that with devil sight you can attack from your darkness cloud but I'm not sure that's worth an invocation slot anymore. May have to test that myself.
I think the buff goes away when you unequip the weapon, but I haven't tested this yet. You could try getting the dual wielder feat and have it in the off hand, though.
If you give dragonborn a tail, they become actual half-dragons, so if you care for cannon autenticity, this build is still good

@@waterenchantress7619 I haven't tested fog cloud yet but mechanically they work the same.
@@andersfrieden567 - dark vision doesn't do anything vs darkness though. and devils sight lets you attack normally in darkness without disadvantage.
I have a few builds on the channel that build around necrotic and poison, but I've yet to figure out a good acid build. It's on the list though!
I made my gith the claw of Tiamat, she’s from (the gith) a fanfic I’m making
How to start with Isobel's awesome armor?
So wait, i tried this build and i cant use the flame sword, does the blade pact allow me to use it?
Yeah you need Pact of the Blade for proficiency
Wouldn't the chestpiece gotten from Alfira in Act II work really well with this build too?
Yes it would. I juts wanted the Infernal Robe for the Infernal theme.
@@HoboZone oh of course! He also looks much more badass the way you built him than he would in the other one.
Could you use that super hard to spell q staff from act 3 to put kreshkas favor on yourself and then equip another weapon and have it stay on?
Because it could give you some heat stuff which could be really fun in this build
I think the buff goes away when you unequip the weapon, but I haven't tested this yet.
You could try getting the dual wielder feat and have it in the off hand, though.
Do you have plans to make a discord for the channel?
Probably not. I don't feel like trying to moderate that.
