I’m super sad that the original Yummy World french fries plush didn’t appear in this video. It looks exactly like the phone case, but it’s even more adorable. Yummy World is one of those brands that makes adorable plushes that aren’t only cuddly friends, but statement pieces as well. I had the ice cream sandwich plush as a kid, and I’m currently planning on buying the fried egg plush to use as a decoration since fried eggs are my favorite food.
The Yummy World fries plush is made by the same company that did the Hello Kitty Fries Plush so i didn't want to mention both of them cuz they're kinda the same thing. bro the cursed lightning mcqueen burger bit (3:58) gave me so much nostalgia for the dumbest reason (keep reading if you wanna know the actual story) when i was younger, my mom would pick me and my brother up from school and take us to dollar tree (where she worked at the time) in order to finish her shift. we'd sit on the crates by the entrance while eating whatever snacks our mom bought for us that day and playing on our phones/tablets. almost every day, my brother would be watching a video by the mcfunlings channel - it was the same video every time (this video has become so engraved into our brains that we still reference to this day). granted, it was a weird kids' video, and he was a weird kid, but still. it basically went like this: [the video opens with a funling peeking his head out the drive-thru window at a mcdonalds.] funling: "burgers! get your burgers here! burgers!" [thomas the train engine pulls up to the aforementioned mcdonalds' on the iconic train tracks (which every mcdonalds location has) and begins to order.] thomas: "hello! i'd like a milkshake please." funling: "burger!" thomas: "no, milkshake." funling: (sing-song) "bur... bro the cursed lightning mcqueen burger bit (3:58) gave me so much nostalgia for the dumbest reason (keep reading if you wanna know the actual story)
when i was younger, my mom would pick me and my brother up from school and take us to dollar tree (where she worked at the time) in order to finish her shift. we'd sit on the crates by the entrance while eating whatever snacks our mom bought for us that day and playing on our phones/tablets. almost every day, my brother would be watching a video by the mcfunlings channel - it was the same video every time (this video has become so engraved into our brains that we still reference to this day). granted, it was a weird kids' video, and he was a weird kid, but still. it basically went like this:
[the video opens with a funling peeking his head out the drive-thru window at a mcdonalds.]
funling: "burgers! get your burgers here! burgers!"
[thomas the train engine pulls up to the aforementioned mcdonalds' on the iconic train tracks (which every mcdonalds location has) and begins to order.]
thomas: "hello! i'd like a milkshake please."
funling: "burger!"
thomas: "no, milkshake."
funling: (sing-song) "bur... GER!"
thomas: "milkshake!"
funling: "....burger!"
thomas: (pouty and disappointed) "fine, i'll have a burger, then."
funling: "sorry! we're all out of burgers."
thomas: "WHAT?!"
funling: "just kidding!"
[the funling in the drive-thru window turns back.]
funling: "one burger, please!"
[the camera then cuts to a second funling, the burger chef, at the grill.]
burger chef funling: "one burger - got it."
[a few moments later, the drive-thru window funling turns back to thomas, freshly-made burger in hand.]
funling: "alright, here's your burger, then!"
[thomas "takes" the burger, although in reality, it seems as though the funling just places it on the track in front of thomas. thomas proceeds to eat the burger layer by layer, until he reaches the patty. and on the patty, lo and behold, is a miniature-sized lightning mcqueen figurine. this takes thomas by surprise.]
thomas: "what the-? MCQUEEN?!"
[thomas then puts the lighting mcqueen figurine aside and continues to eat the rest of the burger.]
there was probably more, but i never cared enough to watch the rest. like i said, just a weird kids' video. but polygon donut, by making a simple joke, unintentionally awakened a core memory that i've been wanting to share with someone out there, and that was my excuse to do it.
