I’ve been using these headphones for about a year, and they’ve started acting up in a frustrating way. They constantly blink orange, which according to the manual means they’ve overheated and won’t charge. Not only is the battery life far below the advertised 6 hours (more like 2 hours without ANC), but now I can’t even charge them. I’m extremely disappointed, and I won’t be purchasing Sony headphones again anytime soon.
that is definitely not good. I would say it's an exception to the quality and endurance Sony tend to put out (at least with their over-ear headphones and other wireless models), but as a long-lasting everyday type of earbuds, these aren't the one.
My left bud Only last 15 minutes and idk what to do :(

I want them but i saw a lot of comments of the bad battery life, others truewireless are better in this aspect?
Yes I listed alternatives with better battery life and you can read my thoughts on their strengths / cons.
If you have overlook the battery life the Linkbuds S are great quality for audio but if it'll frustrated you check out the other options I mention.

@@OneTechTraveller The battery life isn't related to settings to save energy, it's related to Sony screwing with a firmware update a few months ago that changed the voltage while in charge resulting in overheating and messing up the battery making it useless. There are a bunch of videos on RUclips talking about this problem.

I just sent mine to repair, the battery of my right ear bud died after one year of daily use 😅
But other than that, I am still super happy with the product
😅 hope it's repaired well but definitely needs to last much longer! I'm noticing the battery drain socket on the right bud since it's the master with all the brains while the left is the slave driver.

Hey I've been trying to get some on sale but on Amazon there is some that are 60 dollars they are refurbished should I get them please help
as long as it is genuinely the LinkBuds S the refurbished condition is open box / like new and it is from a legitimate seller or Amazon themselves, that is a great price for these!

Link buds s are the best earbuds at 150 I’d say.
A very solid, quality experience for the price. If only battery fared better it would be for sure.

HI BRO IT IS NORMAL THAT WHEN USING MY LINKBUDS HEADPHONES I HAVE CONSTANT SIGNAL LOSSES CAUSING DISTORTION WHEN LISTENING TO DOWNLOADED MUSIC ON MY PHONE. BOUGHT A WEEK AGO
not normal should have no distortion or connection drops. Sounds like a bad one best to get replaced
Its a shitty product. My right bud battery dies after 20 mins of usage. Using them from past 7 months.
That's a shame. I definitely notice the buds not charging unless I make sure it's aligned to the points in the charging case before it charges. Everything works well but battery is a bummer.
Stop promoting garbage products. Sony is a dying brand therefore limited/useless support. My purchased my Sony Linkbuds S in Germany and migrated to Canada. My battery died after 5-6 months and Sony support wants me to send them back to service centre in Germany
A shame you had a bad experience. But my experience is different from yours. There are many brands where support is regional and Sony is no different. For warranty servicing it's always in the country you bought it from while repairing can be anywhere at a price. Only a few brands offer global or extended coverage of countries.
You're welcome to disagree and have a difference of opinion as am I in which my experience has been good despite the battery.
I've bought countless Sony products that have not let me down and if they have, I share that too.

Noise cancelling!! It’s called noise CANCELLING!! Not noise cancellation!!! It’s annoying every time you say that! 🤬🤬🤬
In the entire video I said cancellation like 3 times and cancelling once.
When I'm talking about the system it is called noise cancellation (NC). Talking about a device with NC it is noise cancelling. It's also interchangeable.
You can watch away if that's all you picked up and it triggers you. 🤷
