SAW is great at churning out dance hits like this back then.... People can bash them all they want, but they did find a good formula for pop hits! Love the strings that is going against the vocals during the chorus for example, and the syncopated piano hits and the 909 drums... perfect 80's dance!
Sitting on a train from Blackpool in 1989 back to Birmingham and snuggled up to a girl I liked and heard this song on someones radio, this reminds me of my transition from 'liking' the girl to 'loving' her. It could have been any song, just glad it wasn't Jive Bunny.
The gaudy clothes, floppy bleached hair, camp little dance routines, high pitched vocals and low tech video actually make this more endearing. Far better than the depressing blandness of today's world of pop.
I just love how ridiculously happy this is, S/A/W music got me through some pretty dark teenage years and it's still my happy place as an adult. This is like S Club 7's Bring It All Back or Reach, just unashamedly camp and OTT happy. So much unpleasantness and negativity and hate and anger in the world - we need stuff like this -- the complete antithesis of what you see on the nightly news to balance it out.
Totally Agreed, Is like enter to a happy world again, I listen this and I dont know why but I feel like an unworried happy kid again, maybe the song is a crap but its make me happy.
if its crap.! aw ricardo this helps us to tune off from all the crap.! its a stock aiken and waterman classic.! and it has binuaral beats that to help us tune back in.! were old souls and that says it all love light and blessings x
Absolutely! Bring back camp happy pop, in this miserable world it's much needed. The Italo revival has brought some fun back (listen to Italove), but they're not totally brainless and care free like this!
Remember 1987 - 1989 was electronic dance era breaking acid house and techno in effect this song remixes by them is a statement to show what was coming by the 90's fair play to them
My old memory is when i went to London with my friend ending up in the press room getting autographs and pictures taken with these guys and London Boys.

True, but I'm not happy about it. ;) In the late 1980s and in 2014, the mainstream sparked a mass fashion for the style and appearance of niche subcultures such as punk or psychobilly... Suddenly one month, hundreds of guys and men started looking like..me...like they were coming back from a Front 242 concert...
a classic song created by the Jacksons and redone by these guys, not to mention its re-release some time in the late 80s or early 90s, what an amazing song
Omyl aj Jacksons prevzali túto pieseň. Jej pôvodným interpretom bol Mick Jackson nie zo skupiny ale anglický spevák vl.m. Michael George Jackson nar. 1947 v Munsteri v Nemecku.
It wasn't created by the Jacksons, it was created by a dude called, believe it or not, Mick Jackson and others called Dave Jackson and Elmar Krohn...Of no relation to the Jackson 5...weird huh?
I saw these guys live, back when I was 8 or 9 - I saw Jason Donovan too around this period, (coz Kylie had got too famous) - We didn't usually get much of this kind of thing back then, so it was a proper treat for us kids :)

So much fun and happiness ❤❤❤ from the 80’s!! We need more of this and love in these times of hatred and division!!!!

Proper cheesy 80’s classic, what a great era the 80’s was, brought out some of the best party songs
After 1987, you can’t really know for sure if Michael wants one of them 😅
why do i get the feeling this is the way 89 said goodbye to the 80's for the 90's
The boogie has been held accountable for so much over the years.

This is what I'm talking about. Great songs and big fun. Awesome memories.
'89 signified the end of the 1980s decade
This song was saying and bidding farewell to the 80s and saying hello to the 90s ❤❤🎉🎉
It also maked the end of SAW.
Terrific party song back in the day.
Gotta love the 80’s! Luckily I grew up on them!
Me too.
This is what the 80's were all about having fun , catchy tunes great times were had.😊

I agree with you there. Music died in 1995 RIP music. 🙏
I found this because of a Sarah Millican concert where the whole audience danced to this. These guys were so cute!
This video is so bad, that it's actually good. As 80's as can be. Carefree. colorful times. Love it !!
Ah the good old days when music was fun
The gaudy clothes, floppy bleached hair, camp little dance routines, high pitched vocals and low tech video actually make this more endearing. Far better than the depressing blandness of today's world of pop.
Agreed
The opposite to the Jackson 5 version! lol
Cheesy but fun. Remember folks you almost always preffer the music you grew up with as it was a time when you had fun and it holds memories
It's not that great to be honest. The Jacksons did it better...
Безвкусная одежда ? Это Вы походу безвкусная! Раньше было куда красивее
Best times. No internet, no phones. People just danced and had a very good time
If only we could step back in time FMF, if only.
aha, and at that Time the Poeple thought, the 50 s best Time, no TV no computer, no silly music.
As i remember, we had Phones at 1989 and nearly all what we have today. I used to play all the time computer GAmes.
and kids had no meltdowns they just enjoyed themselves
I was born 1980 it wasn't that good it just that we was younger back then, less problems.
I love this cover!! ❤

OK boomer
Don‘t blame it on the sunshine
Don‘t blame it on the moonlight
Don‘t blame it on the good times
Blame it on the boogie
I think 1989 was the last time I had 'fun'
Always a good song. Quick question? Is this a Stock, Aitken and Waterman production. It has that beat. Nothing wrong with that. Music for the masses.
very good version

PWL became the biggest record label in the UK in the 80's they dominated the charts. Great memories... The school discos :-)
Yup, it was a hit at School Discos. We did the whole dance routine back in 1990 while waiting for the tuck shop to open for the penny sweets.
Often wonder if michael jackson ever heard this version.

Given the royalties the Jackson's would be entitled to the answer must be yes.
It's what finished him off
Hopefully not
He probably was beating off to it
