Something to note is that the formation system isnt specifically for range and defense. Specific moves can only be used at specific formations. So the knight can only use its defense buff in the backrow but can only attack in the front.

Omg that so interesting the more I hear about this game the more excited I get!! I already pre ordered my copy on PS5 now I just wait... 😭😭😅😅😅 I have been waiting 6 years since December 2017 so hopefully these 5 month will go by fast 😅😅

Happy Junah is finally seen in battle. I knew she was going to be a party member with a musical background, so seeing her with the Masked Dancer archetype is cool. She’s the character I’m most excited for.
I also like the archetype system and being able to use moves from unequipped archetypes. Since I believe there will be about 7 playable characters, that gives everyone their own primary and secondary archetype, if that is how you wish to build them. Can’t wait to see what combinations work.

quick question: do i need any knowledge on persona to understand this or this just a separate thing?

seperate thing, if you played Persona or SMT it might help you grip and understand the combat system better, but it's not required as it's a completely different IP that has nothing to do with either games.
