F1 dont use their developmental drivers from F2 and SF so Indycar says "thx guys well take it from here." As a european i enjoy that these guys get a chance.
Laguna Seca, Road America, Barber and Mid Ohio. Every natural road course IndyCar races on is great. Well Indy is decent. Just need to find a few more.
The INDYCAR is the most beautiful race car of any series. The enclosed loop gives it a fighter styling and the engine, chassis and downforce package gives us, the spectator, the closes and absolutely the best open wheel racing anywhere, including F1, and I'm an old asphalt modified driver. Congratulations to Mr. Penske for reviving an almost dead series.
So McLaren in less than a month ripped up contracts w Juncos over Theo then rips up Theo contract. Meanwhile no one mentions Siegels dad is a MD w very close ties to silicon valley Venture capital firms. It was inevitable someone was getting the shaft after Siegels early season ride was bought and it was well known in the garage there were many millions up for grabs. In Tony Kanaans interview he said he would "bet his job" Siegel was the next "big thing" and Oward straight danced around the question. McLaren brings more drama than a middle school girls volleyball team.
No mater what siegel wants the image to be, everyone is going to think that he paid his way, because that is exactly what happened. Even if he is a good driver, it doesnt matter
Look up how much Nolan has won at his young age and tell me he doesn’t deserve to be where he is. Money may have got him the opportunity to prove himself but he still needed to prove himself. You just sound jealous.
I hope they'll return to Sonoma. Then we would have added another awesome venue in the calender. Nevertheless as ever I'm looking forward to the Monterey Grand Prix, it never disappoints, Laguna Seca is awesome, one of the highlights of the year.
The McLaren shenanigans shouldn't even be a big thing in the first place. They could opted Pourchaire to had roles like Vips with RLL, and let him being sidelined for few races (since we already know that Siegel was signed was purely money) and then gave him another go since they still had spare chassis that being used by Kyle Larson at Indy500. We know Rossi might not renewed his contract, so having Pourchaire who was new to the sport would lower the leverage for the team for a while. What we've got is just truly bizarre. I wouldn't calling someone being fired for no apparent reason is ruthless, but rather amusing. He perfomed well at the times where Pato and Rossi just couldn't performed, and he was the more consistent Rookie out of Lundqvist and Simpson. If McLaren somehow not being sued for this, then i left nothing but a shame to US and IndyCar jurisdiction system.
Honest question to Americans, are you looking forward to the switch to hybrids? I'm a recent convert and i worry they're going to end up massive impassable boats like in f1
Indycar is spec vs. F1, which isn't. There shouldn't be a big gap as the chassis are the same and they want to make the series competitive. Same goes for Nascar.
They have to make the switch or Chevy and Honda will bail, and there'll be no IndyCar series. I just wish they would have a new chassis to go along with it. IndyCar is virtually a vintage series right now.
If Theo is out due to F1 commitments then fair enough, but if it is just about putting Nolan in a car, then I am sure Theo is feeling super hard done by.
The Dipper at Bathurst is no longer truely "The Dipper ". Years of safety work and track resurfacing have mostly filled it in. In the early 1970's and before, it was treacherous. A hollow that included the apex of a fast but sharp right hander in the esses on a steep downhill section that was deep enough for the left hand front to drop into, bottom out, then be shot back up and out , with the car on only 2 wheels. Not fun in any car.....worse in the big, heavy Falcon GT's.
WTF is putting in HALF HOUR COMMERCIALS that are LONGER than the videos? Talk about paywall blackmail by ruining the experience of their own service. How much are beers at the top of the Corkscrew this year?
Mclaren bringing bs drama like it has in f1. Zac Brown has been very good for Indy. I’ve left F1 because it’s boring. Max wins every race. At least in Indy, anyone can win, it’s more exciting and more competitive. I stand by it. But forget trying to boost viewers with the drama bs.
Except, max hasn’t won every race lol leclerc, zains, Norris, have won races this year lol and redbull may not win this weekend. And just to be clear this isn’t an anti Indy comment I love both but your not quite right on this take lol
@@mwdrum Figuratively speaking?...Uh...No, that's not how that works. Your random misrepresentation isn't a figure of speech. You are factually WRONG. Max has not won every race this season

a few more ovals, you mean
Twin Palms would be cool or even High Plains. Just don't think they'd ever go there
They need to come back to Watkins Glen
Road Atlanta would be cool and if you want to get real adventurous maybe throw willow springs in there 😂
They should do a European track, or maybe Suzuka will be a challenge

In short, the parody between Juncos (Canapino) and McLaren (Theo) was to test Siegels (and the fortune he brings with him)
Yeah this really sucks for Pourchaire. Siegel family bought their way into Mclaren

McLaren´s Nolan Siegel very slow at 27, a very good driver like Kimi Antonelli ! Racing teams all sick in our days.
