They will always seek to challenge themselves against each other, as they await the Legends that lie beyond to turn around, and walk with them. They don't entirely care, but the world they walk on may see life again. Not the life they used to see, but it is something, and they couldn't have asked for more. Some are doomed, like the Wii Us. Their Miis, hopelessly disconnected, grew slow and die quickly. They clench onto their scratched machines and their massive tablets, as they desperately seek to unlock the rest of the secrets before carrying them to their graves. Then... There's Miku. The ten years she's endured has made her a temporal anomaly. Those who leave her see her as a mature singer, ready to accept the orders they would have given her, if they stayed, while those who join see her as a nigh-angelic figure, capable of summoning music from her voice on a whim. Miku envies the ones who are caught in the illusion, but she is certain that they will come to face and accept the reality. She teeters on edge of either destiny with the ones who follow her, either the redeemed and recharged, or the doomed and dying. For now, she understand that she is both, and neither at the same time. For now, her life is the same, but the ones who follow, for their own reasons, are not.
H4CKZ0N To be fair, the song is relatively new, seems to have exploded in the Vocaloid community (from my PoV), and this is like the first Vocaloid song Hachi has produced in a long time since he began singing things himself. But maybe the phenomenon previously mentioned and RUclips's algorithm is to blame. Who knows?
Hachi has always been one of my favorite Vocaloid composers and I feel nostalgic when I listen to his old stuff. His newer non-Vocaloid stuff is also good in its own way and his distinctive style is still there, but it lacks the magic of his old compositions (probably the aforementioned nostalgia). You and the singer (who brings a lot that would have been missed if this was strictly instrumental) truly make justice to the song with your on twist and I even prefer it to the original.

The producers follow her through the desert hoping to find success, while the fans have an ideal of her as a representation of Vocaloid's potential. The "producers' Miku" looks more mature, as they work with her closely, may have a long history with her, and better understand what it means that it's Miku's 10th birthday - thus she looks like she's aged 10 years from her initial design. You could sorta view their Miku as "the program/voicebank" and the fan Miku as "the character design," especially in how their Miku shows very little emotion. The "fan Miku" is standing by an apple tree in a wintery desert in contrast to the sandy desert. This is a less harsh-looking environment because fans don't see the full difficulty of being a producer, and the apple tree represents the bounty of songs produced by Vocaloid. The producers plant the apple tree(s), but to the uninformed eye, it seems like something that just produces fruit naturally. Similarly, "fan Miku" is shown doing techno-magic stuff to make music, which belies the reality of producers making music. The "sand planet" depicts the Vocaloid scene in two senses: a "sand pit" and a "harsh desert." It's a sandbox where producers played and built a "castle," but also, things are difficult there. Hachi has remarked that he had an image of NicoNico "turning into a desert" since his era, which I take to mean not that it's barren of good songs, but that the landscape has become harsher for producers. It likens surges of popularity like Melt's to wells that dry up over time, so the producers must look elsewhere for the next thing that will be big in Vocaloid and draw in new people. (The "laser beam pointing to the distance" may represent chasing trends.)
