Cheers Ram, yeah at first sniff, it through me for a loop lol, and not having ever sniffed the pure sandalwood oil it was kinda perplexing. That said after I also had sprayed the other 2 on various spots ( which doesn’t help lol ) However after it went into the early mid I GOT it . Congrats on 11k and a good pillow and comfortable shoes are the key to a happy life ,as we spend our life in either one or the other 😂💪👊🤛
Just received my Artemis bottle today as well, haven't tried it yet. Chrysos ended up being an absolute favorite, specially the dry down. His blending skills are really topnotch specially compared to other self proclaimed indie perfumers
I can not wait till you try the new “essences” fragrances of Amouage. I want you to tear a new a**hole in Outlands(the favorite it seems amongst the frag community). I like Cecile as a perfumer(big fan of royal tobacco, epic woman, and silver oud)…. But WOW!!! Outlands is what’s wrong with modern day fragrances. It smells like a variant of Layton. Candied citrus(kinda Vicks Vapor smell to me) with a super synthetic woody amber base that just creates an amalgam smell of modern bubblegum sweet mess trash… that just won’t leave the skin!! I actually started feeling sick because that sweet smell was never ending. I’m skipping this Areej collection. I’m still wrapping my head around Oud Taiwan.
Al Sandal reminds me of a clay pot collecting rainwater. The saffron came off somewhat off-putting to me at first, the way some people have cumin or fenugreek associations with food, the saffron was hitting similarly for me. But with some time, it feels better blended and less striking. Meditative is a good depiction.
Very good review! I am curious, which fragrance in your collection does the best job at smelling like natural sandalwood with all its calming properties and nothing in the way? (Besides pure sandal wood oil)
Came for Al Sandal, stayed for the pillow review 😂. Would Artemis be a good first purchase from the brand? They always sell out by the time I hear any reviews.

To me Al Sandal seems perfect uncomplicated as it is. It’s like a cashmere sweater. Somewhat unassuming but so soft and comfortable.
I could totally see that... thanks for watching 👀
Congrats on 11K crew Ramsay! Rock on 💥
🎸🤘

😅🧊
I have about 150 bottles of cologne and I will never pay more than $100 or so for fragrance. I just will not do it. Nope. 👎🏼
To each their own... I respect your take
