How to Check DoFollow and NoFollow Links (2 Methods)

- In this video, I'm going to show you my two techniques for finding out if a website or web page has NoFollow or DoFollow links.
In a nutshell, DoFollow links pass link juice which is good for SEO, whereas NoFollow links really don't do much for SEO.
1️⃣ Method 1: Navigate to the page you want to check. View Source in browser (Google Chrome).
✅ In Google Chrome, go to View / Developer / View Source.
✅ Use Command+F (Mac) or CTRL+F (Windows) to pull up the “Find” function.
✅ Type “nofollow” in the Find function.
✅ If there are zero “nofollow” in the Find function, then any link on this page is a “dofollow” link.
2️⃣ Method 2: Install the “NoFollow” extension for Google Chrome browser.
✅ Navigate to the page you want to check.
✅ Any “nofollow” links will appear with a red outline around them.

well I am glad I know that nothing should show up if it is do-follow, it's that way by default. Makes sense since I found out you need a specific plugin to make links no-follow word press automatically makes links do-follow. Thanks you solved my issue

Hi Jasmine. If the local news website mentions your website or your business then I'd argue some embeds (mainly on other sites and Web 2.0s) would likely help. Is that what you mean? Or please clarify some more.

Thank you, for some reason, SEMrush shows I have no follow internal links but I'm not seeing them as you have shown here. Does this cover internal links as well? (I think it's in the comments as you mentioned!)

How to check whether the comment section is dofollow or nofollow?
You can check comments using this same method. Just navigate down to the comments section in the source code and look for "nofollow".
