My 8 month review on my radio: ruclips.net/video/QuXf0yTEgLk/видео.html
The video you made 10 months with almost 500k views brought me here, I also commented on that video too and kinda disregard it 😭, I should have watched yo journey!! I'm a fan now bro! First video to last I'm watching!
@@MarleyMars93 thanks I really appreciate it! Got plenty of videos to watch!
⁰😊
Great work this helped motivate me to finally get around to installing my touch screen display and dashcam you’re a great dude i dont even gotta talk to anybody ab my 09 rolla bc bro knows it all just turn on the video and get to work! - saves alot of time brother very much appreciated for all the videos 💯✅🚘
that's awesome! I am glad this has motivate you to do this, pretty straight forward, but if you got any questions, don't hesitate to reach out!
Finally man,I got rid of the orignal one from my 2013 toyota because it had a bluethooth capability and display but the touch didnt work so I actually got 2 of them because my other one is a older model means it uses a old radio so I applied it on both cars, this was a good idea man, thanks for giving the link to those
Yeah the stock radios tend to start given people probably after the 10 plus years! This is a great upgrade to have and it’s a good price as well!
Thanks for installing Brandon 👍💯
I’m glad you liked the video! 👍
Thanks a lot! So helpful!
I’m glad the video helped out!!! 👍
Im proudest of you its so great Brandon
Thank you! I appreciate it!
Just bought 2013 corolla. Has a jenky after market installed. Wanted apple car play. Thank you for sharing! Cant wait to add upgrades to my car!!
That radio in this video is a nice budget radio, but if your looking for a much nicer and faster radio, I would recommend this new radio I just installed. It comes with Wireless Apple CarPlay and has a much nicer screen.
ruclips.net/video/hwG77bXbnHc/видео.html
Mine is coming tomorrow can’t wait to use it.
Awesome! It’s a great upgrade!
Super great video! Thank u!
I’m glad the video helped!
Extra props for the manual transmission!!
Thank you!! 👍
Nice 👍
I have an older Joying unit, which has Apple Carplay and Android Auto. The later does not, work as it requires a phone with older version of Android.
Might get a dongle for Android Auto, or perhaps it is time for another head unit upgrade 🤔
Yeah the dongles work good. The only reason I don’t like them because they have a few second delay when you change songs!
Great video, but you sounded high AF lol! Anyway good job.
😂 this was one of my first videos I made on RUclips! So I can understand it’s not the best video!
But thank you!
I also drive the same car and its also loud
Ppl always got something to say 😂he did not sound high at all
Awesome vid. I just got the same one and might be installing it today. How long did it take to install it and did you have to remove the negative battery cable?
This was probably one of the most easiest radios I have installed. It probably took me about 15-20 minutes. And no I did not remove negative battery cable.
@@BrandonStellmach Alright cool, thank you so much!
@@pilotpancake1397 no problem 👍
Super awesome. Did you have to do any wiring for the connections or was everything already completed out of the box?
Everything that comes in the box is all you need!
No additional wiring needed!
The double din mount as well the housing?
@@Pinoyswagg41 yes the screen has the mounts in the back, so you don’t need to get any additional bezels or brackets!
@@BrandonStellmach awesome sir, thanks! Getting thesame set up.
do you have the video that shows how to install the steering controls pls and the clock spring
Thank you so much for the video. Do you know what the provider is for the canbus settings?
I am not familiar with what the provider of the Canbus module is. I always leave it set to what ever the factory had it set to.
Great video thanks. How do I set it up with Apple Carplay
Here is my video on how to install Apple CarPlay: ruclips.net/video/p8hxq7UkyuM/видео.html
Great video. What happens if the touch screen is not working at all. I try resetting it, still not working.
That is very strange, I have never heard of anyone having that problem. Maybe one of the cables isn’t connected all the way in the back of the radio.
Great video! How do I put the camera lens at the back? I mean the wiring all the way back to the number plate area at the back?
Here is a video I did installing the back up camera.

@@BrandonStellmach Thank you
Maybe try to mount the USB connectors opposite of the AX input. Looks like there is a blank panel there. Does the aux input still work?
That’s a good idea! I might do that!
And to be honest I have never used the aux cord in my car. So I don’t even know if it worked before or after.
Hi, i noticed this unit is really compact. What's the sound like without an amplifier? for regular in car play, thanks.
I honestly think that it sounds better than my previous radio that was in the car, seems to have more low end bass. Even with the factory speakers.
@@BrandonStellmach Thanks
No problem 👍
I see that the corolla has 4 wires connected to the stock radio, but for the aftermarket it only uses 2 that connects to the wires harness, am I right?
Yeah i believe it was only 2 plugs for the aftermarket radio. But when I took out my old radio it also was only using 2 plugs. I’m not sure what all of the other plugs are for, but I believe I’m not using them because my car is the base model. So changing out the radio didn’t make me lose anything.
Lovely video very interesting !! How much was all the tech gear ?
The radio was around $150. Is a great cheap radio!
@brandon, reverse camera also included in the pack of the head unit? you a a video of installing it? please share
I know sometimes you can get the radio with the backup camera. I bought mine separate.
Did your base come with that gear selector or did you change it? And if so, where did you get it from?
Yes my base came with the shift knob like that. I have the 5 speed manual transmission.
Can you show how to wires the backup camera? I bought the same model as you. And installed everything except camera
Here is my video installing the backup camera!
ruclips.net/video/yq0xF2cewZM/видео.html
Hey! Thanks for the video.
Did you purchase a harness to connect everything to the new radio?
Thanks!
The radio came with everything you need for a corolla. If you do need Apple CarPlay you will need another dongle.
@@BrandonStellmach Thanks!
@@vikitoto2000 no problem
Hello does it have an aux input? Also the brand name in the video title is different from the link. Are they the same?
I have not verified if the aux works because I always use Bluetooth.
And they are different brands, but the exact radio. Reason they are different was because Binize didn’t have them in stock anymore.
Good job 👍
Thank you! 🙏
Does your aux port working after installation? Have you done any settings change for aux ?
To be honest I have never used the aux port. So I’m not sure if it works or not. I always just use Bluetooth or Apple CarPlay!
Any idea why my rear speakers and radio mic are not working. Only the front speakers have sound. I installed everything lioe in the video
That’s very strange. I have not had this happen. Are you sure the rear speakers were working before the radio swap. And do you make sure the sound settings are using all the speakers.
As for the mic. The one on the screen should work automatically. And if you plugged in an external mic, make sure it’s plugged in all the way.
I have an 09 Corolla LE and already installed my back-up camera and now looking at buying a 7" head unit to replace factory radio. I wanted to buy an ATOTO S8 Ultra, but a few customers have them, bu the ATOTO website says not available in North America. I started searching Alibaba (the EBay of China) and the prices are much cheaper than Amazon or EBay plus the technology is the latest unlike the outdated electronics in the USA. When I looking at different headunits, the word 'Support' is used for function of the head unit. What does the word support actual mean in reference to head units? Also, I don't understand why all head units don't have built in Apple Carplay and Android Auto. I don't want to have a support dongle.
Sorry I really don’t know much about those units. And to answer the apple CarPlay dongle, they don’t include it because it would cost them to much to manufacture it with them in it.
hey brandon! i got the radio and it was installed in my 2011 corolla S, however the radio doesn’t work. I think i probably didn’t connect the antenna but i wasn’t sure where it would connect?
I assume when you say the radio isn’t working, you are talking about the FM radio.
The connector should look like a giant headphone jack.
At about 3:00 minutes into the video you will see me plugging it into the radio.
Does this one make a sound everytime you touch the screen? I bought another type and it makes a beeping noise whenever i touch the screen. I’m thinking about replacing that one with this one if I can’t fix the issue
Yes this unit did this when I first got it!
But you are able to turn it off in the settings
my corolla have control on the steering wheel how to get those to continue to work? i just order mines hopefully you got a AL from amazon so you get a commission
You should be able to find an app that says SW controls. And it will ask you to hold down certain buttons to teach them to do certain things. When I had the radio from Amazon, it only let me do the volume buttons. Wasn’t working with any other ones! Maybe they updated it and it’s better then it was 2 years ago.
But my new radio from idoing, works great and was able to program all the buttons I wanted!
Hi I saw 1 socket from the original harness didn't plug in, what is that for?
I believe it is for any XM radio and microphones that the after market radios do not utilize.
Did you have to install the parking brake wire? If you did can you make a video of how you did it?
I never installed any parking brake wire. I don’t know if because I have a manual transmission. But was not needed.
Can’t get the built in equalizer to work on the “sound settings” I have the same excact unit. Any time I try to move one of the the frequencies up or down it just goes back to where it was. Any suggestions?
Have you tried a different preset? Like rock or hip-hop settings In the EQ settings to see if anything changes?
Hi, do you still have access to radio stations with this upgrade?
Yes all the radio stations still work!
Do you happen to know what cable wires are for universal swc. 5wires like key 1 ,2, ground , power , light. Trying to do myself on a corolla 09 xle
I’m sorry I do not. My car didn’t have SWC. So I’m not sure which one it might be.
did you ever figure it out? i myself own a 2009 xle and i’m thinking of buying those exact plug n play in the video
@@liammagee i ended up buying a 10 button wheel remote. That didnt have ti wire i was just plug and play from back of stereo head. But ive founf many videos of it working out oerfect with this set up. Just went the easy route. With a prewored plug and play compatible for Corolla wiring
Hi, how many inche is the double din because I have a 2009 corolla and want to know if a 7" would fit.
The radio I have now is a 9in screen.
I have a 2009 Corolla type S and the radio connection doesn’t fit the ones form the car. Do you mind helping me find a radio that does fit?
That’s very weird, because I have a 2009 corolla as well and every plugged right up. Maybe they sent the wrong wire harness.
Does it come with the adpater harness to fit the toyota corolla or did u have to buy one yourself. I get very irritated when people say ITS A PLUG AND PLAY and i watch the video showing they have to buy a CHEAP HARNESS on amazon. Please respond. Its no problem to buy a harness i just dont want to buy one if it comes with one. If i buy it and it doesnt come with one then i have to wait to and order the harness and cannot install til it gets here.
This radio comes with everything you need, I did not buy anything extra to get this radio to work. Whatever was in the box is what I used!
Does your aux still work? I have a 2013 and I see no input for the aux to the android.
To be honest I don’t really know, I always use Bluetooth or Apple CarPlay. But I’m pretty sure it still works.
Hey man I need help starting it what can I do when I connect everything but it doesn’t turn on
I would verify all the plugs are pushed good into the connector. Then I would verify the fuse on the radio did not blow!
Hello, does this fit also in Toyota Verso 2010? Did the Apple Car Play worked just fine? Thanks a lot!!
I am not sure. I am not familiar with the Verso.
What size bolts are they for the radio? Also can you get away with just using a deep socket?
They are 10MM bolts. And yeah you can use a deep socket if needed.
I just purchased one today
Awesome! You are going to love the radio!
Hi. Can you make a video on how to connect the apple CarPlay please.
Yes I can make one in a few days.
@@BrandonStellmach Thank you so much. I’ve been trying to connect mines and I’m so confused.
Link for installing Apple CarPlay: ruclips.net/video/p8hxq7UkyuM/видео.html
If the Corolla came with a back up camera, can it be used or does another one need to be purchased and installed? Thx!
This radio is only meant to work with an aftermarket backup camera.
What were the USB's for that you ran through the glove box?
They were just extra USB’s. They are not needed. But are nice to have extra ones!
Can you use your steering wheel controls on this ?
When I had mine, I was able to get the volume to work.
But I have heard some people were not able to get it to work. I guess it might depend on the model of your car!
how would i turn up and down the volume? with my phone or is there something else im missing?
and also is it Bluetooth so i can just connect the apple carplay to my phone and im all set? or do i need something else to be connected to apple car play
So on this radio there are touch sensitive buttons on the side of the radio for volume and a few other buttons.
As for Apple CarPlay, this radio specifically needs a CarPlay dongle, but this is about 3 years old. Now most of these radios have been updated to have wireless CarPlay.
So once you connect to Bluetooth you have Apple CarPlay.
Hey Brandon, do you know if this is cold resistant including the camera outside of the car as I am in Canada and reach -30 frequently. Thank you.
To be honest, I live in Florida, I’m lucky to see anything below freezing temperatures here. So I can’t give you a good answer, but I would imagine it would be fine in the cold temperatures. Because there are many newer cars with big screens and backup cameras and they don’t ever have problems with the freezing temperatures of Canada!!
I have pretty much the same head unit but under a different brand. I also live in Canada and so far it doesn’t work when starting at -30 in the morning, it works only after 5 min once the car is warmed up.
Bad Energy Juice wrld ❤️
Juice WRLD! 👍 👍
It seems like my antenna has a plug in and not like the one you have !
How would I be able to use mine? Sorry I am new to this!
If your antenna seems to have a different style plug, they usually sell adapter for your antenna to make in into the size you need. Just google radio antenna adapter, and find the one that applies to you.
If you have any other questions just feel free to ask.
Im just wondering cuz i see ppl doing it but cant figure out why. Why do you disassemble the bottom portion like the ac controls and the aux portion?
Honestly this was one of the first times I have ever changed the radio in this generation corolla! But now that I have done it a few times, realized you don’t need to do that!
Awesome bro. Much appreciated.
How's the sound quality compared to the OEM ?
I thought there was a good improvement in the sound!
So the usb just dangles under the dash or glove box? I was hoping for something more oem style.
They do sell these where you can put them in a blank spot on the dash to make it look OEM.
I just put mine in the glove box because I wanted them out of the way.
amzn.to/40PXCP4
@@BrandonStellmach Thanks, that's what I was looking for.
After purchasing through link, it only seems to be playing out of the right passenger side of my car only. Do i need to adjust the settings on the head unit, or is it something else, thank you.
That’s very strange, you can double check the settings. There should be an equalizer setting, which should have the option to change what speakers the audio plays out of.
Other wise it might be something wrong with the harness. And maybe ask the company for a replacement harness.
Just double check that everything is plugged in good!
@Brandon Stellmach thank you for your timely reply. All in all, i am satisfied with the upgrade. Thank you for the video upload.
whats up Brandon, i was wondering if there was anything i can do to make the system run faster? i’m closing in on 3 months with it and the buttons seems to be a little delayed and u responsive? is there a reset method?
I believe they do have a factory reset somewhere in the settings, that might help it for a little bit!
But with this unit being a budget radio, it doesn’t have the best internals!
I had mine for about a year before I upgraded to a nicer iDoing radio!
So I do not need a wiring harness or dash kit with this head unit? I have a 2011 Corolla didn’t know if I needed a dash kit with this.
This radio comes with everything you need!
No adapter/harness needed? Just plug and play? Wanting to do this w my ‘10 corolla S. Any reason why it wouldn’t work?
Thanks for the content man!
Everything was all plug and play. If you want Apple CarPlay, you will need to buy another dongle. But there should be no reason why it doesn’t work. I have a 2009 corolla.
And thank you! 🙏
@@BrandonStellmach can u use the original AUX port w a dongle? That’s what I use now. Or is there an AUX jack in the back of the unit?
@@GraveyardWarden the dongle actually plugs into a USB port. And the USB port comes with the radio. And you can route it where ever you want. I put mine in my upper glove box. So if you want to use Apple CarPlay you will need to plug into usb.
@@BrandonStellmach hey Brandon I have a ‘10 s and my pin connectors dont math with the ones I have is there an adapter?

I had it for about a year before I upgraded to a new one. Only reason I upgraded was to get built in wireless Apple CarPlay.
But the year I had it worked good for the price!
@@BrandonStellmach thank u I might give it a try !

Yes you can, I did in this video.
ruclips.net/video/aSdh0YC5-sI/видео.html
I am looking to install the same system in my 2013 Corolla. Does the Navigation system work the way it should?
The factory navigation is okay, I would not say it’s the best, I pretty much always use Apple CarPlay, and use maps either that. And have no issues.
@@BrandonStellmach OK. Thank you
Hi my corolla is 2008 model do you have clue can i install this to my car too?
Well the radio I installed is for the 10th gen corollas. The 2008 is the 9th gen. So I know this radio will not work, but I would imagine you could find a similar radio and follow my video for some guidance.
What you end up doing with the GPS that was hanging out?
I just double side taped it to the bottom of the dash.
Does this have apple CarPlay?
Also what size did you get?
This does not come with Apple CarPlay, you will have to buy a dongle and install it like I did in this video: ruclips.net/video/p8hxq7UkyuM/видео.html
And I also got the 9 inch radio.
Hey I was wondering can I put that stereo in a Corolla S
Yes this will work in a corolla S as well!
What would the model be and where do I get it to be able to install it myself?
I have put the link in the description!
On Amazon it gives you the option of a 8 or 9’’ radio, which one did you buy?
I have the 9” radio. I’m not sure what the 8” is, because that wasn’t available when I bought mine.
Thank you! Just ordered one for my 2012 Corolla
This may be a dumb question but sorry, I’m new to all of this. Since it’s android, does that mean it’s only compatible with android phones? I have an iPhone so would I need one that’s compatible with Apple? I’m looking into replacing my radio in my 2011 corolla with a Bluetooth radio but I’m not sure where to even start. I just want to make sure I’m purchasing the right products.
So when you see it say it’s an android radio, this means that it is just running some form of android software. But this does not mean you need to have an android phone.
I have an iPhone as well, and this works great. You can connect to Bluetooth. And on some of the more expensive android radios. You can also get Apple CarPlay.
@@BrandonStellmach oh ok 👌🏾 thank you for clearing that up!
Do you need the clips that come with the head unit that are for the trim pieces on the side? The one the right side came broken for me.
I would have to personally see what clips came broken, but when you install the side trim bezels next to the radio that is what keeps it locked into place.
@@BrandonStellmach It’s the two clips on the side of it for the trim bezel pieces that are broken for me.
link says it has wireless carplay. so why did u use wired carplay?
This radio is over 2 years old. They have since updated it to have wireless CarPlay!
Hey Brandon !
My radio takes roughly 8-10 seconds for the screen to appear, was the same thing happening with yours? Or is there something I need to change in my end?
There is a setting on these units, that doesn’t let them turn fully off. I think it’s called sleep function. And I usually have it set to 24H. So double check that and see if it fixes what you are talking about.
@@BrandonStellmach would that drain the battery of the car?
@@elmermatias2333 i have never had a problem with it.
Do I have to drill a hole in order to have Apple car play?
You don’t need to drill a hole, you will just need to find a place to run the wire for the cables that come from the radio.
Will this fit the Matrix from the same time frame??
I don’t think so, because this radio was designed for this generation corolla. I’m not familiar with the matrix on the inside. Unless the trim looks identical, it will not fit.
I just installed this and how do you switch it over to apple car play
You will need to get a CarPlay dongle. I made a video on how to do that. Here is the link.
ruclips.net/video/p8hxq7UkyuM/видео.html
Do you still have installed? If so how is it after a year?
Yes I still have it, it has been great. No problems so far. It’s a great radio for the price!
Would this work for a 2013 corolla! If not can you please provide a link for a product that has the same big screen. Thanks
This radio should be what you need, I know it says for 2009-2012, but some of the reviews say it works in a 2013. And this also comes with a back up camera.
Check the description for a link.
@@BrandonStellmach For the Canadian amazon! it is showing me different products. Does it have GPS or I have to install it?
@@ammess2033 it has GPS, but you have to contact the seller to give you the download link for the maps, and then install that on the radio. And I have done that, I just think the GPS is slow, I always use Apple CarPlay for GPS and maps.
Hey man, i see this video is a little old, but do you happen to know the car launcher used on this system? I got one very similar, but not from this company. I like this launcher better than the one mine came with. Wondering if i could just get the launcher and be done. Thanks!
I don’t know what the launcher is, but if you know how to find out, I will look for what it’s called. But not sure where to find it. If it would be in the settings or what not? But I will take a look next time I’m in my car!
I’m not sure how similar your radio is but when I go to the factory setting, type in the code and then go to “style setting” and type in the password for that, my UI style is set to ‘Style5’ otherwise it’s just the default car launcher that the radio came with.
Hope this helps! 👍
Ik I’m late but can you still connect a subwoofer
Yes you can connect a subwoofer to this.
Good work but why for CarPlay you cut it the video?
I made a separate video installing CarPlay! Here is the link if you want to see it!
ruclips.net/video/p8hxq7UkyuM/видео.html
What bracket did you use for the radio?
You don’t need any bracket with the radio, it will slide into the clips on the radio bracket!
What product is that like is there a link for it ?
The link is in the description!
What tools are needed again?
Your going to need a Philips screw driver, a ratchet with a 10MM socket. And if your trim Is hard to remove, maybe a plastic trim tool to help take apart the dash pieces.
Is the apple car play wireless?
The radio I have does not have wireless Apple CarPlay. But I did believe they offer one now. Because this radio is older then 2 years old.
Check the link in the description, there should be one with wireless option.
Do you still have full function steering wheel control? without buying anything else?
The cheaper radio that I installed, some people are able to get them to work, and others were not!
@@BrandonStellmach ok thanks 👍🏻
Can you please send me the link to buy this radio? Thank You
The link is in the description of the video!
The Amazon listing says it is up to 2012, your description says up to 2011, but the title says up to 2013. Does this actually work for a 2013?
Yes this fit a 2013 corolla, I’m not sure why the seller only goes to 2012. But I have seen and talked to people with a 2013 corolla and this radio. The only thing is there are mixed reviews about the steering wheel controls for that year. Some say it works, others say it doesn’t. And it’s hard to say for me because I don’t have steering wheel controls.

I did add a mic, but I couldn’t get it to work, and the mic that is on the unit doesn’t work good for me, so I don’t make many calls In the car.
Hey can I screen mirror from my iPhone on this? Either wirelessly or with wire? I’m assuming with wire there would be less lag so how would I do this?
Yes there is an app to mirror your iPhone, but from what I have seen it’s only wireless. But I only used it once. So you might be able to connect it with a cable so there is not much lag.
And in order to do that you just need to open the mirror link app on the radio, and than on the iPhone just use the screen mirror option and it should pop up on the radio!
@@BrandonStellmach do you know which app it is? Because I don’t see a mirroring app on mine
@@krishpatel3663 I thought it was called Mirrorlink. If you can find it. I will take a look at my radio tomorrow and find out the exact app.
@@BrandonStellmach thanks so much man!
@@krishpatel3663 no problem! 👍
Are you able to get carbitlink app to work?
Yes it will work with iPhone, you just have to open the app and connect with the screen mirror option on iPhone.
Can you put in the link for the radio?
I have an Amazon link in the description!
Hi mate did u put a SIM card in it ?
No I never put a SIM card in it. If I need to download anything I just connect to my house wi-if and download it!
just installed this. having problems with the bluetooth pairing with my iphone 12 pro max. my iphone keeps asking to “enter pin” but the head unit doesn’t show a pin to enter. anyone else having this problem? or anyone have a solution?
The pin should be 0000. Hopefully that will fix your problem!
It work?
Yeah it’s 0000 or 1234
I have cuestión were i can find the arnet connection I have toyota Yaris 2009 and I whant to install android screen and the cable not fit please let me know to finde
I mean harness sorry
Well the radio that I show in the video is for a 2009 Toyota Corolla. You will need to find a radio that is compatible for a 2009 Yaris. And that should come with the harness you need for your car.
@@BrandonStellmach ok thanks so much I appreciate you time to respond 👍
hey bro nice job on the install. i have an 09 and my question is, are you able to still listen to satellite radio on this thing? i have sirius xm satellite n my corolla using the SAT button on my stock radio. I've been looking all over an aftermarket radio that still allows the use of listening to satellite radio, but haven't had much luck
This radio does not have satellite radio on it. But your next best thing would be to get Apple carplay(hopefully you are an iPhone user) if not I’m not sure if this will work for android auto. But if you download the sirusXM app on the iPhone it will pop up on Apple CarPlay and you can use it from there. Otherwise I don’t think any aftermarket radio will come with Satellite radio.
