Hi, thank you for the amazing explanation. Could you help me how to calculate the ductile damage (fracture strain, stress triaxiality, strain rate, and displacement at failure) ?
Thanks for the video ! Can't you use "element deletion" in static analysis ? I generally see people doing explicit analysis for element deletion, does it make too much difference in the result compared to static analysis I wonder ?
Very nice video ! i think u did quasi static tensile simulation in abaqus explicit solver. i have one question. How u have decided to give a time period 0.03 sec for 10 mm displacement load and u have choosen material property at 0.0001 s^-1.
Hi, the explicit solver does not support quasi-static. The time period can be calculated based on the element size. The third part of your question is unclear.
Hello Sir, Thank you for your tutorial. I have a project about tensile test. I confused to calculate some parameter, like ductile damage and shear damage. Can you tell me, how to calculate it? And if you have some reference, can you share it too?
Hi there, it’s not so simple, it’s better to read some documents such as the mechanics of material and plasticity books. As well as the related articles.
@@KSSE_Engineer Hello sir I have tried to enter the ductile damage parameter. Then I got an error like this "The independent variables must be arranged in ascending order". Do you have any suggestions for my problem? Thank you
Thank you, but I don't think the dynamic analysis is suitable for the simulation of a common tensile test, which is usually done in a static way. Do you have any comment on this?
There is some damage material that not support static analysis, only dynamic analysis supported therefore I used dynamic there is some more reason I have discussed in many tutorials when we should use dynamic and static . In practical it’s static . Good luck 👍
@@KSSE_Engineer Is it possible to get results in abaqus without doing the experiment. Because i have to do tensil test aluminum 2024 and 7075 and Do the damage parameter change with the change of dimensions of specimen?
@@kikinano5830 Abaqus is simulation software, You first must have a test and then calculate the damage parameters by hand. maybe AL2024, and 7075 data can be found in the literature.

There is a long calculation process you must check the Abaqsu documentation.

You can. For comparison just find a material that can support Both static and dynamic procedures and do a study on them to see what is the difference.

@@KSSE_Engineer Okay Sir, can you give more specific suggestions Sir, eg book title, author or publisher?
@@suryanto5125 @Suryanto First, check the ABAQUS Documentaions; there are more references and some very important verification examples.

please could u give us the material data so that we practice? cant see that on the inp file.. thank u again
chek it in INP file
I don't have damage parameter of aluminum 2024 the strain rate and displacement and triaxiality stress??
You can calculate it .

@@KSSE_Engineer thank you 🙏 I'm PhD student and can't do the test because our university doesn't have machines and materials
so in this way there is no need to use umat right?
