When I was stationed in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba we would snorkel for Conch and the Jamaican guys who lived on the same side of the base where I worked would clean them and make fritters and Conch chowder. The water there was just as you showed at the end. Clear as glass and bath tub warm. That was 30 years ago but the memory is still clear as a bell. Thanks for great content and bringing back great times.

She always has her head on a swivel! You gotta do that daily! I do & it's one of the MOST VALUABLE things I learned in my Navy career! Great advice...do it!
Kel, 2 easy ways: Get a large Phillips head screwdriver and hammer. Near the crown of the conch, you'll see 3 or 4 circles. (we call them the eyes) Hammer the screwdriver in there, it will go right in. Grab the handle and rotate wobbly 4-5 times, then it will pull right out. If it's still stubborn, plunge into another eye. Second way: Take a board with a hole cut out, you can use a hole bit like for a doorknob hole. Elevate the board above a bucket and some ice with the conch centered over the hole and gravity will pull it out overnight, no need to bust the shell. The second way is when you want to save the shell especially. Kiss.
So Kelly in Panama where I was stationed the Panamanians take a larger fish hook and hooked into the foot of the conch, and hang them from a tree, eventually the conch will give up and the conch shell will drop to the ground. It takes about 12 to 24 hours but this process saves the shell from being destroyed which can be solded on the market

I loved the narration you did for the grouper diving section rather than just using music. That made it super personal and engaging, especially since the footage itself was high quality and your voice adds a lot of character. This is great TV!!!
Did construction for years, and for making the hole in the shell, I would use a straight claw hammer rather than curved. Easier. A cornbread mix makes a good fritter also.
