Greatest video yet my dear my only wish is for you to be safe and of course wishing I was there sharing it with you love your smile wish you both safe passage love always Freddie ❤️😀👍😎🌹💪😺
Hi Lauren, re the auto pilot, I recently have had a similar issue, a full update of all software was done, and the reset and calibration after, and it has worked fine after. I am sure you are on top of this, but just in case you have not done all the updates of all the components…..Good luck!!
hi Lauren, seeing you happy and alone at sea, you are an example to me, you give me strength to fight and move forward. never give up. I wish you good luck, you are a great woman ❤️
What a beautiful sail. Calm flat clear water, sunshine for miles. Something dreams are made of. Great video, I wanted to go for a swim. Thank you for sharing on my cloudy day.
I know how you feel, I have traveled to places few people ever see, and I've done it all by myself. Many times I couldn't believe what I was witnessing, and wish I had someone to share it with. Nodays we all have cell phones that take some amazing video, didn't have any of that 30 years ago. I've been on beaches that went as far as the eye could see and I was the only one there. I once sailed off Daytona beach and had probably over a hundred dolphins surfing with me on a down wind leg and the noise they made was amazing. I still have the memories! Better to see it now even by yourself then never see it at all!
Hola Lauren, solo admite decir que es hermoso y que a veces el sentido de la vida es disfrutar de los pequeños momentos como ese, gracias por compartirlo con nosotros. 😘😘😘🙏🙏🙏👍💙
Thank you for reminding me to appreciate peace and solitude. I am a solo hiker and enjoy those moments in the mountains when there is total quiet, a light breeze, and peace
I'm so envious of your life. I wish I wasn't pushing 60.if I was younger, I would be living the same way. Growing up on the water and loving it never leaves you. My days on the water lately are a week here and weekend there. It's not like it used to be.. I will continue to live my dream/ fantasy through your life.. ❤
If Ya ever need a crewmember I know of a solid guy who plans to live that lifestyle and need to learn a few things like spearfishin , navigation , anchoring ect basics & boat shopping
When you said 6 degree error in your auto pilot it hit me. The magnetic declination angle this year at my longitude is negative 6 degrees, 33 minutes. That might have been the constant lean to starboard
Your videos are so inspiring, I hope young girls watch and learn there's nothing you can't do if you put your mind to it. Hope you get your autopilot fixed or replaced soon. Thank goodness you've got Starlink.
HI Lauren. I am from switzerland. We have no ocean... But we have very high mountains. 😅Your videos are just beautifull! I wish i can live the same life as you. I wish you all the best and always a nice breeze to sail wherever you like! 😊
Beautiful photography. Returning from the Dominican Republic with view from 36,000 feet the Bahama banks are beautiful. Close up gives a different perspective. In the Indian Ocean we were steaming in formation and the seas were so flat the ships 1000 yards off were reflected like a mirror. Still a great memory after 49 yrs.
Totally agree with you Lauren. As hard as you try, unless someone has experienced that type of day it's hard to put into words the true emotion of it. Enjoy them. Give Mako a little goodie for me. Fair winds and following seas sweetie. You are in the thoughts and prayers of all of us following you.
So beautiful. Live your dream while you can. I am 70 years old and my memories of where I've been and what I've done is what keeps me going in my old age. Just knowing that I've lived a pretty full life makes me smile.
If peace, tranquility and beauty were to be put on film, it would be the lovely video you posted today. The reef was amazing! Thanks so much Lauren and Mako for the stunning journey!!
You can also heave to, stalls the keel, backwinds the head sail, tie off the helm, stops the boat settles it, so you can use the John, fix problems etc. Like the Automatic Pilot..

Lauren - It's coming up at 1 AM here in Sacramento, and it's day 1189 of work with no days off to enjoy the beautiful places and people God gives this world as we know it. I have no idea how I stumbled onto your video as I searched for Kubota Engine troubleshooting videos. For the length of this video, I somehow escaped and sailed those beautiful blue waters with you and your cool cat. I would give anything, or should I say give up everything, to go on an adventure with you. These last 3+ years have been so humbling and taught me so much about myself, having spent most of it alone. I took so much for granted and failed to see the beauty that surrounds me every day. Now, I stop for a few minutes and enjoy something that doesn't cost anything. I might paint a pretty Sunset, look through an old photo album, or sit by the river and have a little lunch or dinner. Thank you so much for sharing yourself and your journey. I do want to tell you that my hand went up at the beginning of your video when you said that you wished you had someone to share what you experienced and saw that day. My hand is still up, and it's not going down until you call on me. For real. If you believe in fate and destiny at all, you'll call. Until then, I'll be watching more of your videos and enjoying the escape I so truly need in real life. Curtis D.
😂 how pathetic. Someone who puts themselves out there in the middle of nature does not believe in god or destiny. They believe in themselves. Grow up first, then look for a mature person with whom to share your life.
Lauren, the shared footage is simply amazing!!! Thinking it has touched many others with feelings wishing you had someone within close proximity to share those memorable moments. A very courageous and inspiring person which just radiates love and happiness while experiencing challenging moments. Thank you for sharing this journey.
Another stunning vlog Lauren. I am so jealous. In this horrible world you seem to have discovered a little bit of heaven. I completely get why you were so overwhelmed by your surroundings. Keep safe, happy and healthy.😘😘
I keep praying that when the time is right you find that special someone to share the adventure with. They would have to be an incredible person to deserve a beautiful soul like you, but I have faith they are out there. B well my dear and huggs to Mako
Absolutely amazing editing work, Lauren, getting better and better! Thx for sharing reality of sailing solo, with the beautiful and the painful. As a solo sailor myself, I relate with the fact that sometimes I'm so overwhelmed by nature that there should be someone to share with. Everyday sailing solo is an adventure, a joy and a learning experience - you show that very well. Thx!
You should not be alone. My grandfather did this in a 28' sailboat, with my grandmother. They had the most wonderful stories. However, it was obvious they needed to be together to be successful.
Well Lauren, what can I say, your editing has come on brilliantly, by far your best yet. Your footage and story telling make me feel like I'm right there with you. I think you said you wished you had someone there to share those moments with, it just melted my heart and I'm sure thousands of others around the world. You're a courageous, inspiring girl, that just radiates love and happiness even when challaged by techincal issues. Thank you for taking us with you on your journey, it is a true privilage to be allowed in to your life. x
Your comment on being able to share those experiences you have is a common feeling I get quite often. I’m often diving with students. But not often with people that I’m close with.
What I love about you is that you just take the next thing and kick ass. You are amazing. I love your videos and you remind me a lot of my son. Just a go getter with a never quit mentality. Very impressive.
Wow, what an incredible adventure! The stunning reefs, the calm stillness, and even the company of Barracuda made this journey so special. Your love for the places you visit is evident, and it's inspiring to see you embracing the off-grid life with such enthusiasm. It's amazing how you make us all feel like we're right there with you, experiencing the magic of these places. Wishing you smooth sailing and many more amazing experiences ahead! To all those reading this, may you find success and fulfillment in everything you do!
wow that water was incredible your living the dream, flying with the sun coming up just me my coffee and beautiful skies I get get a glimpse of what your living daily
I had plans to do this but life had other plans with my wife getting terminal cancer that really changes you and your plans but I still want to be where you are now.
I’m so jealous…and sad…and happy for you. I did this very same thing, (without an autopilot of course) sailing the Indian Ocean for five months by myself. That was in 1989….I would have given anything to have someone like you to share that experience with. I’m sad because I just turned 70 and can only relive that experience vicariously through you…and you do a fabulous job of reminding me how much fun I had…best to you darling.
Sheet to Tiller! In An Emergency with a down Auto Pilot. And using the emergency tiller.. Wind Vain steering can be setup with the emergency Tiller, and a couple of bungee cables too the Lee ward side, as the elastic, and a sheet from the main boom through a block on the windward rail, then too a half hitch on the tiller. Lots of trial an error to get it right. Not a bad idea too setup a system when you do not need it couple of cam cleats and depending on your emergency tiller how many blocks to need too make it work, but have used it has a wind vain system for years on my Cape Dory 25 in the 70’s. You can technically make it work on a wheel helm but takes more work..
If you haven’t already sorted out your autopilot issues you might want to make sure you haven’t inadvertently places something metallic near the autopilot compass. This has caused more autopilot phantom issues than you can imagine. Fair winds to you America’s Mermaid!
And here the thing I like mainly about the shore is the constant natural noises mask my tinnitus. I have no idea what silence sounds like but noise is peaceful :)
I grew up with the channel islands my stopping ground, You live a special life and not many women would like to do what you do. You have a great sense of adventure and a nice smile. Everyone dreams of a life like yours but in reality 90% would hate it. You have to be special kinda of person. I love your cat he's such a trooper.❤ Are you ever afraid of him falling over board? Anyway , your awsome !
I Can relate to wanting to share experiences with when you're on your own, the peace is blissful but sometimes there are things you're just so excited to share, and I'm glad you shared that special moment with us 🥰
I didn’t see a life jacket or any thing securing you to the boat when it was rough. That would be my biggest fear. Falling over and the boat sailing away.
Hi Lauren. I'm john from Australia. I noticed one thing about your winch on the bow. when you go up to secure the anchor there should be a handle for the winch. the winch should have a clutch on it where you turn the handle to lock the anchor in place. with electric winches, you need to lock the winch up when you travel or all the strain on the anchor will go onto the motor, the rope locking the winch is a good idea but the motor will still have tension on it, this is why people go through winch motors as they wind the anchor up but don't lock the clutch up on the winch. Just thought that would be helpful.
there are few people in the world who live their dreams, you are one of them.🌴🌞 I have traveled a large part of the world as a backpacker. I understand what you mean, sometimes you come across places that are so beautiful that you would like to share them with someone. happiness is only real when you can share it. you can always call me adventure is waiting❤
What a treat for an old timer. An all girl crew producing great content. Couldn't resist subscribing to help you hit that 100k mark. Safe sailing Ms. Lauren!!
You might want to check the mounting bolts on your windlass. I believe the windlass tilted forward when you were bringing up the anchor. Could have been an illusion caused by the TV screen. 😊
This is the 1st video of your I have watched.. amazing!!! stay brave it must be scary being all by yourself, you’re an amazing person, very courageous.. good luck to you.. enjoy the moment, you’ll look back at all this one day.. You must see amazing stars ✨ ⭐️ 🌌🎆 Remember to always wear your sunscreen ☀️ Lots of Love Dando 💜x
I can sit here and wonder what's over the next horizon where as you are gonna go see. You keep taking to more and more beautiful places. That was not the first bungee cord autopilot I've seen either. You are a real hunter gatherer and I thought we might see you getting some fresh seafood. I love this stuff Lauren. Thank you so much. ❤🙏
people often see what they want to see , see you as they see the outside and never understand you are more than what reflects in a mirror ...crying and feeling alone only means your more yourself than others want you to be .. freedom at sea is a wave from the ocean that is set asail with the dream of emotions from within ... how do i know ... i am the Son of Man . its my gift to know ..! waves never lie and sailors never cry ...suck it up gal the ship needs you to go where it can't on its own .. the ocean does not make the sailor . the ship does not make the sailor . the soul makes the sailor ! keep smiling i will be watching over you ... ! stay safe stay free
You are either very brave or crazy to be out there all by yourself! You’re gonna make some guy a great wife!! I’m 85 years old and have sailed to the Bahamas several times but I would never do what you are doing. I’m impressed!!
Always wondered about living life on a boat at sea, still deciding if it's something I want to pursue, otherwise you have a new subscriber here, love the videos.
Shalom I just joined your RUclips channel my Ashah Wife and I have been living full time on our Irwin 31 Citation for one year now we have a lot to learn but you being Solo is a huge inspiration for Sailing our Sailboat I know another Solo Woman Sailor Anchor beside us who is 82 years old being Solo for 20 + years I clean her Sailboat ⛵ Bottom regularly Irene calls me her Muscle Man lol Soon we will be setting sail for a real adventure going south Florida we're in St Florida waters now through Hurricane Season Happy Winds my new Friend Shalom
How I envy you. I just got back from a charter this weekend. But I already want to go back. Unforgettable sensations when you go out into the cockpit with coffee at dawn, when the crew is still sleeping and there is silence around...
I think what you do is absolutely amazing. I love watching your series. You’re an incredible intelligent young lady. I don’t know how you do it all. It’s amazing. God bless you. Be safe out there you’re something else you take care.
Stunningly beautiful music Lauren. Also please remember that we have not had digital technology that long. It was just 20 to 30 years ago sailors sailed without it. One can become much more in tune with nature, the seas, currents and winds. Yes the auto is the sailors best friend. It is said by the legendary John Kreschmer, that if anything breaks on a good string well built sailboat you really do not need it. Great video dear Lauren. Jim Rodgers
In NJ contemplating going back to The Bahamas. Did it last year, got as far as Green Turtle Cay. Thinking Georgetown and beyond this year. Sucky part is doing it alone like you think...
I know I'm way behind from real time but if you are still struggling with autopilot, check its compass and any ferros objects or electrical motors around it. They can make it impossible for the pilot to follow a track. I think I remember you saying in an earlier episode, it held relative to wind angle which would be another clue that the compass is the culprit. You might be able to resolve this by relocating or clearing the area around the compass. Thank you for sharing your adventure!
Hello Lauren, so glad to see you are getting the boat shipshape after the prop shaft fiasco…I’m thankful for your friends and patron support to help you get everything taken care of…prayerfully it will continue to get better and better…it’s been a while…I’ve been dealing with some issues myself…hang in there pretty lady…fair winds and following seas…
Daing that water looks amazing like turqoise crystal. It's gotta be so cool to wake up to that with a cup of your favorite coffee in hand and an orange glaze in the background to look at. That's the life.
If you only knew how many guys would give their left arm to be out there with you, having such an amazing adventure that most of us could only ever dream of
Hi Lauren, beautiful video. This might be off base but check your compass deviation. Metal around a boat can throw off your magnetic/true. Even if it has nothing to do with how the auto helm works is it worth knowing. Fair winds and parallel universes luv.
Lauren you are a great person and it is so much fun to watch you're sailing and what you do I know things get hard but you're tough and you're a sailor keep sailing Stan
I've been following your adventures for a while now, and am really enoying your videos. My wife, daughter and I lived aboard a 40 foot sailboat for six years, took a year off work, and sailed from Seattle, Washington to Southern Mexico. I had an electric autopilot and two big solar panels, but also put on a wind vane so I could do long passages without using electricity. I spent the winter in the Sea of Cortez. In all, I sailed that boat 33,000 miles, and I was very sad when I sold it. If you were to get yourself a speargun, Lauren, you could supplement your food with fresh fish. Our 2 cats loved it when I would spear a fish. I never had much luck fishing while at anchor, but caught a few tuna and mackerel while offshore. I'd suggest you get yourself a harness to tether yourself to the boat while underway.
Amazing video, I so miss the Caribbean. If u want to share it with someone, go get that person. U r beautiful and should not have any issues and it is fun to have someone around.
Laureen, don't you think a central cockpit boat would make a big difference regarding windy days? I mean, no more water in your face. I love your boat don't get me wrong, just asking.
Do it bro don't think if I had the cash atm I would dip out this afternoon and get a boat. I'm saving up for mine while I work 1 year left maybe 2 if all stays good I'll be sailing. It's the only thing that gets me outta bed most days tbh.
I don’t live near the ocean but I love the ocean. I’ve always wanted to go fishing in the ocean. Maybe one day. That looks like a beautiful and peaceful way to just get away. Beautiful. Thanks for the video.

And here the thing I like mainly about the shore is the constant natural noises mask my tinnitus. I have no idea what silence sounds like but noise is peaceful :)
I grew up with the channel islands my stopping ground,
You live a special life and not many women would like to do what you do. You have a great sense of adventure and a nice smile.
Everyone dreams of a life like yours but in reality 90% would hate it. You have to be special kinda of person.
I love your cat he's such a trooper.❤
Are you ever afraid of him falling over board? Anyway , your awsome !
"stomping ground"
I Can relate to wanting to share experiences with when you're on your own, the peace is blissful but sometimes there are things you're just so excited to share, and I'm glad you shared that special moment with us 🥰
Nothing like days alone on the boat. The morning people absolutely love you❤️🤍❤️
I didn’t see a life jacket or any thing securing you to the boat when it was rough.
That calmness was a dream. Amazing videos as always 💙
So peaceful, serene and tranquil. I LOVE this kind of adventure.
I’ve never seen a cat that would play fetch like a dog does. Too cool!!
Yeah, that is a first for me too.He must be part dog, lol.
Mine does it sometimes. Depend of the breed. I have an Ocicat.
You are sharing this with someone. We all are right there with you.
First time viewer; loved your footage of the deserted islands. I find such solace in solitude 😊❤️🙏
there are few people in the world who live their dreams, you are one of them.🌴🌞
I have traveled a large part of the world as a backpacker.
Lauren!!
Awww thank you sooo much🥰🥰
You might want to check the mounting bolts on your windlass.
You must see amazing stars ✨ ⭐️ 🌌🎆
Remember to always wear your sunscreen ☀️
Lots of Love
Dando 💜x
Invidio il tuo coraggio e amo la tranquillità che riesci a trasmettere nei tuoi video😊 grazie
The best days of you life are ahead of you! You need a great companion that you can enjoy life with! God Bless!
Always wondered about living life on a boat at sea, still deciding if it's something I want to pursue, otherwise you have a new subscriber here, love the videos.
What I wouldn’t give to share that lifetime of adventures. May God bless you in All your travels.
Thanks Lauren for sharing your dreams and your passions so we can stay with you in paradise.
Your video, sailing and underwater, was exceptional. Your level of enjoyment was evident. Sunsets were awesome. Thanks for sharing your adventures.

How I envy you. I just got back from a charter this weekend. But I already want to go back. Unforgettable sensations when you go out into the cockpit with coffee at dawn, when the crew is still sleeping and there is silence around...
Aww for sure
I think what you do is absolutely amazing. I love watching your series. You’re an incredible intelligent young lady. I don’t know how you do it all. It’s amazing. God bless you. Be safe out there you’re something else you take care.
Aw this means a lot to me. Thank you
Stunningly beautiful music Lauren.
Some people choose to “live” life…you are one of them. Enjoy the ride young lady!
Thanks Lauren and MAKO !!! Great to see you again 😊
The joy for the life you give flies off the screen and into everyone's heart. Stay safe and stay groovy.
🙏🏼❤️❤️
Hello Lauren, so glad to see you are getting the boat shipshape after the prop shaft fiasco…I’m thankful for your friends and patron support to help you get everything taken care of…prayerfully it will continue to get better and better…it’s been a while…I’ve been dealing with some issues myself…hang in there pretty lady…fair winds and following seas…
Daing that water looks amazing like turqoise crystal. It's gotta be so cool to wake up to that with a cup of your favorite coffee in hand and an orange glaze in the background to look at. That's the life.
I used to have a cat that loved to play fetch with bottle tops, so cool ! Smooth sailing beautiful.
If you only knew how many guys would give their left arm to be out there with you, having such an amazing adventure that most of us could only ever dream of
agree with OluKai sandals. I bought myself the Mea Ola flipflops and they are absolutely the best sandal. Super comfy and stylish
Aw thank you
Beautiful times is good to share with someone! with love from Greece
Рад за вас прекрасные дети Божии,что можете так отдыхать,отличное видео!
Beautiful video. Check your windless, it appeared to move when the anchor was coming up.
Don’t forget your safety line when you’re underway, and your BC when you’re snorkeling solo! PLEASE!
I love that lifestyle. Since I retired from the army, I’ve been looking for something to do. This may be it. ❤
Do it bro don't think if I had the cash atm I would dip out this afternoon and get a boat. I'm saving up for mine while I work 1 year left maybe 2 if all stays good I'll be sailing. It's the only thing that gets me outta bed most days tbh.
@@grim789 Good luck! And thank you for the encouragement!! Check out C-PTSD. You might find some answers there. ❤️
I don’t live near the ocean but I love the ocean. I’ve always wanted to go fishing in the ocean. Maybe one day. That looks like a beautiful and peaceful way to just get away. Beautiful. Thanks for the video.
So beautiful the sky at the end was energizing my soul
You’re an amazing young woman! Live life… to its fullest… and enjoy the ride!
Wow, that water is so clear and beautiful. The waters in and around key west were alot like that when I was growing up. Beautiful, like you Lauren 😘😍
Oh my gosh, Im so incredibly inspired love to see other ladies living their Best Life 💜
