    While the feed logic does work, I have had instances where a difficult wood will burn unless you manually restrict the amount of material removed and do two passes at the same setting every time you change it. Even with a brand new strip of paper. It also needs a 20 amp circuit or it will trip a breaker while in the middle of a cut (ask me how I know). Otherwise, I really enjoy this tool as well once I got on the same page with it. It's a great alternative to a full on belt sander for the small shop. If you go up to 220 grit, there is very little sanding to do after.

      Yes, all very true. We burn up paper when students are not paying attention

    Would a festool dust extractor work with this if I have a dust port adapter?

      Probably not as well as a system designed for a four inch port. It creates chips like a planer and the festool would also have to be emptied daily
