Hey Jesse, the adjuster for the shocks can be set anywhere. For example you can set it at 1.5 and compression is automatically set with the top setting.
Yes you are correct. They used to come with pro 36s. The regular xrs comes from with pro 40s up front just not kashima coated. And correct, any sled with the 10.25 gauge can get separate hand and thumb warmers with the software update. Cheers, Jesse
We have old trakmaps cards. But even without it.. Garmin Treads have built in snowmobile mapping across NA. Not 100% accurate but pretty good. Cheers, Jesse
Most definitely with the discounts. There are significant changes to the 2025 so it all depends on the price difference. If you are talking 3-4k + savings, get the 2024.
Thanks for the prompt input. Have you done any reviews on the Smart Shox for any of these sleds? There’s many offerings for trail sleds from the MXZ X, MXZ XRS std, and XRS with Smart Shox. Been searching around have yet to find a real review on all this.
@@poppy231X yup. search our channel. Have had 2021 2022 2023 2024 and now 2025 XRS's. Have had both smart shox and no smart shox. Check out this playlist to see all our long term reviews on our sleds - ruclips.net/p/PLEH3MPCFdYE7BFkzmaIE0xQUKWgDPxvBI
You might want to add full tunnel protectors if you going to stud, they changed(cheap out) the pro for 2025, just like they got rid of rebound adjustment on the shocks
I've only ever added these exact tunnel protectors to all my sleds. Never had the full length ones and have never had an issue. Our 2022 with 18,000 kms was fully studded with the same tunnel protectors. Cheers, Jesse
I have an old trakmaps card. All garmin treads come with built in gps mapping that includes ontario though. They aren't 100% accurate but like 2 years old so pretty close.
No. Its a pain to get installed and with swapping sleds every year it just didn't make sense. Plus I still use hand signals most of the time when it is safe to do so. I found myself never using the signal lights the way they were intended. Cheers, Jesse
@ they come installed now as an option. At least I thought so. I put them on my 21 but haven’t been able to use them because of the lack of snow. I will probably use hand signals also until more awareness is out there on this feature.
@@justflylow Don't think so.. They are an add on accessory. Sure.. the dealer will install them for you for a service fee, and if you don't take them off, thats 100s down the drain each season. Yup agreed - hand signals are what I use at least until the awareness is there.
Yup! Most sleds we actually wire it to the solenoid. On this sled though because it doesn't have an electric starter we run the wiring right to the battery.
I dont like how they cheapened the shocks. Thats a big negative. If people cant figure out shocks on a xrs then dont buy one or go buy cheaper shocks. Dont take away from the people who buy that sled for that package. 3 position shocks are for floor models, Period
Have you guys ever been tempted to go with the adjustable windshield (low - med) ? Does the low windshield provide enough wind protection on really cold days and long trips? Have a great season guys!
I used to use an adjustable windshield. They work good. The reality is, the low windshield is more than enough on most days. If its super cold we have medium windshields we can swap on. We also wear tekvests which basically act as a body windshield so we don't need a larger shield lol. Cheers, Jesse
Typical skidoo 2nd year for this model watered downed front shocks already same thing they did with the XRS. 3 position compression and no rebound is not enough for a true bump sled.
Very nice job going over sled 👍
Thanks so much! I am glad you enjoyed it. Cheers, Jesse

Incorrect, the XRS comes with Pro 40 shocks in the front, not 36’s. The thumb hand warmer is also now on the 23-24 models with an update on the gauge.

Since OFSC does not use trakmaps anymore how do you use the Garmin for Ontario trails?
We have old trakmaps cards. But even without it.. Garmin Treads have built in snowmobile mapping across NA. Not 100% accurate but pretty good. Cheers, Jesse
There’s still a 2024 at a local dealer to me at a decent price, is worthwhile to grab that over a 2025?
Most definitely with the discounts. There are significant changes to the 2025 so it all depends on the price difference. If you are talking 3-4k + savings, get the 2024.

@sledaddicz interesting, well if it works, no need to change it, I guess. I just wonder why skidoo had full protectors on 24s and partial on 25s.?
But you didn’t have 9t drivers before..
E link probably best accessory
💯
How or where do you get the trail maps on your garmin gps unit?
I have an old trakmaps card. All garmin treads come with built in gps mapping that includes ontario though. They aren't 100% accurate but like 2 years old so pretty close.
You didn’t want the hand gaurd light system?

What do you use to power up your Garmin?
I think they wire it up to the battery on all of their sleds. They have other videos about their GPS system.

So is it a 129 skid ?? How long is the track???
137”

you get a bigger driver 9 t. on the competition.
Yes that's true!
Yeahhh track audio is French
