In my experience it's a better visor for vision and reflection compared to the previous visor but it's not as hot. There is some icing on very cold days and I mean very cold days like -40 around the vent. I would assume that the new controller is set at the highest setting at all times. Does the new controller indicate that the visor is working green light like the old one?

I always feel very confident in the helmet when I make the magnetic connection and see the green on the controller does that still happen?

Hey I was wondering if you ever had ice buildup problems on the sides of the tunnel on your backcountry, bc I just bought a 2024 backcountry with the 1.6 and everytime after riding for 20 minutes my side of the tunnel gets full of snow and ice and causes a lot of vibration in the running boards and the ice says there till I scrape it off by hand and I’m wondering if anyone else has had that problem.

Doo needs to up their spring order customization. All backcountry's should come with the 43 inch and give the option to have that or 39. There's a reason the switchbacks all have the wide front end. It just works for both so well.

I was just at a ski doo/artic cat dealership today and was planning on buying an oxygen. We sorted through 20 of the matte/satin finished helmets and on 3 out of 4 of them the back section had spider webbed cracks that you could fit a fingernail in. Pointed it out too the lady at the counter and she acted like she'd never seen it before, which i found hard too belive cause the main carbon fiber oxygen on display was super cracked and was the only helmet on display that didn't have a box accounted for. Also needs to be mentioned that they had all skidoo helmets 30% off. I opened 3 brand new carbon fiber oxygen boxes that hadnt been opened yet and they had the worst cracking. Lmk if anyvody has seen this cause i can't find complaints about that anywhere. (just ordered the carbon mission before posting this btw)

I'm really surprised that both your turbos went through a full tank of ice within the first couple rides?? I have 700km on my 850 T BC and haven't even used a quarter tank, and I've been beating on it. Also, in very cold temps, though, that must make a difference in what it uses? Loving this machine!

    • @sledaddicz
      @sledaddicz 2 дня назад

Yep. During break-in, temps were quite warm so that definitely had something to do with it. We are also running a lot of WOT with the trails up here, which really drains them. Cheers, Mike

Was hoping to grab an 850 Turbo, after owning an 2019 850 BC std, wasn’t fun on trails, opted for +1 spindles and X shocks, was slightly better. Looking to try a more trail friendly sled like an MXZ XRS 850. Although there is a couple of these BC XRS available, I just think the track for me might be 137” off a R motion, for the type of riding where I’m at. Looks like Skidoo finally figured out what a X-Over sled should be. This is a beautiful sled! Great commentary as well! 👍

I love my Ryker, but it seems there is a design flaw that Ca-am/BRP can’t figure out. Before buying one be sure to check the National Highway Transportation Agency complaints - even after a ‘fix’ was in place scores of riders report ‘death wobble’ and issues with brakes/VSS. You can also search social media for the same. Mine was in the shop for more than 4 months. Yikes

@sledaddicz Just got my 2025 comp coming off a 2022 mach z. I don’t know what to think right now. Have 130 miles on it now. Def more snappy than mach z but once I hit 75 I feel like it not moving well. Takes me a while to go from 80 to 93mph. 93 has been my top speed on a trail run) while I feel the mach z goes from 50-90 really fast. You said 111 mph??! Not sure how this sled would ever get there. Also have not used any ICE yet. It keeps letting some out the cap valve. If I open the cap the ICE is still at the top. Could this thing just not be making 180hp? Rpm is good. Any thoughts is much appreciated.

Glad you guys are going to run this sled for a few years! It will give us a good evaluation on the reliability of this sled. Most of the media guys get a new sled every year, so they can't tell the general public if it's reliable for three to five years down the road. I have been riding for 45 years, and keep my sleds for four to five years, and 5k miles! So we just want to know if the Polaris will be reliable! Been running ski doo since 2001,and am on my sixth one, and all have been super reliable! Would like to try a polaris again someday, but with all the issues, and recalls they been having the last few years i wont chance it! Winter is to short for my sled to be sitting in a shop waiting for service.

Call Will at velocity performance, he has the HD long tail torsion springs the run on the cross country race sleds , that will solve your problem

Could you share your mounts for the cameras.. Looks like a clamp on the windshield and curious about the helmet. I'm thinking about a shoulder harness but want a mount f I r the front. Something like you have on the sled. Thanks in advance

Just finally got a couple Oxygen's this season and this video was a great reference on how to install a Cardo. Thanks!

For trail riding, I wouldn't touch a Polaris. Too expensive, too many problems, noise like lawn tractor, and suspension sucks. My trail riding choice is a Sidewinder or T-cat with USI Epic skis at their widest stance along with studboy duce. It's faster, more stable, and reliable. Probablylast10x longer with just normal maintenance. Polaris is just like China products.

Not meant to pry, but you guys get new sleds every year, tons of gear, yet have time to volunteer. Curious what you guys do for work? Seems like you’ve got the life. Appreciate the content. Perhaps a vid on the bios and lifestyle would be appreciated

Great question. We have worked super hard the past 5 years to turn this into a business. It finally came true this year. Mike is doing Sledaddicz full time during the winter now, with odd jobs in the summer. I am currently in my third year of medical school and all my free time off in the winter is spent running Sledaddicz, volunteering, and sledding. Hope that helps! Cheers, Jesse

Pretty cool video I don’t think it’s fair to compare crossover suspension to R motion.

Agree Cory! Just comparing with what we have is all. I could have compared more closely to the C motion on our backcountry. Definitely will include that in our end of season video. Appreciate you watching man! Cheers, Jesse

I’ve never liked green or “teal” on a sled but dam that colour combo rocks. Beautiful colours.
