nice to see snow and snowmobiling videos.. i miss my 4 stroke yamaha and no it was not nimble but it was great for touring.. all the trails you were on were perfect for that sled..
Great starter run. You said it several times and it can't be emphasized enough "get out and volunteer some time to your local club, even a few hours helps". Also hoping for a big snow season.
Fantastic suit so far. It's paper thin but I can't believe how warm it is for such a thin suit. It's almost like a windbreaker. I have yet to try it in really cold temps but I think with some layers, it will be just fine. Very impressive. Cheers, Mike
I'd agree with that. It feels smaller, tighter and more nimble compared to the Skidoo. The suspension is the the best shock package you can get and works well plus it hooks really well and carries the skis easily with the uncoupled skid. Much more fun to ride. Cheers, Mike
The 4 strokes are great for temps. They are always holding back surplus cooling using the thermostat. Until the temp coming back from the heat exchanger gets over 155f or so, the engine coolant temp will hold flat at 165-168f due to the tstat. I have rode with 850’s that are on the verge of overheat and the 900R is just ticking to 170f.
I have 1,700 miles on my 24’ XT 900R and absolutely love it. Coming off a 23’ XRS 850, as Mike said in the video, the XT is as close to the feel of an 850 with a 4 stroke that you will get. Thing can lift the skis on command and handles very well. The 146” is a bit long, but it’s not as much of a difference as I would have thought from the 137-146. Probably similar going from a 129” to 137”. Be Interesting to hear Mike feedback since he has some miles on it.
Absolutely awesome sled. It's the best 4 stroke we've driven to date, very nimble/playful compared to my Renegade from last season but it does need a little work to get the front end dialed in. Stock cardbides are worn right through so once I add the Bergstrom's and make a couple suspension adjustments, it will be better. The ice arrow track is a winner. Should be an awesome touring sled. Cheers, Mike
Picked up the exact same snowmobile. Can’t wait to get up there and ride. Thanks for the contact.
Congrats! You'll love it and thank you. Keep me posted on how you like it. Cheers, Mike

Yup that's forsure! Winter highways up here
Great to see you out and the sled seems smooth. Excited for some great content and another good season!
How’s new suit?
Thanks Steve! The new sled is awesome and so is the new Lynx suit! Comfy, lightweight and warm. Cheers, Mike

Nothing like the first run. Keep the videos coming.
Thanks Greg!
Sounds like my sled! The PEFI BOV is so quiet I was expecting it to be much louder
Check out the trails in Iroquois falls!!!
We have many times. Great trails maintained by Jackpine. Unfortunately they haven't opened for the season yet!
Noticed you have the Stamina Jacket, still waiting for mine to arrive. How do you like it?

How would you describe the lynx compared to the skidoo? Someone told me they ride more like a dirt bike suspension?
I'd agree with that. It feels smaller, tighter and more nimble compared to the Skidoo. The suspension is the the best shock package you can get and works well plus it hooks really well and carries the skis easily with the uncoupled skid. Much more fun to ride. Cheers, Mike
Hey Mike , are you running ice scratchers? Wondering if that machine was heating up
Nope. I haven't really needed them to be honest and I did run in some pretty marginal conditions up here. Cheers, Mike

What did you paint the windshield with? And what carbides you running?
It's not paint he has them wrap
He has them wrap
Timmins hasent even got our trails open once yet 😢 .. still went for a rip tho...😂
Hopefully not on closed trails
How do you like that xterrain for trail riding so far. I want one bad with the 4 stroke. I never had a 4stroke sled yet
Same here.
