@@indiegamerred553 I can tell you from memory that this is something that Blind has said they will be doing. Do understand that videos don't pop out of the ground though and you might have to wait a bit.
@ovrsurge4689 I couldn't remember if he said he would or not. I only watch the videos he posts on RUclips, so if it was from a stream of his, then I probably didn't see it. Honestly, he can take all the time he needs for the adventure mode tutorial series. I still use his fortress mode tutorials to this day when I'm trying to do some things with my fortresses.
Bay Twelve: Dabu, its just a silly little dwarf simulation game, just something simple to compliment the atmosphere Dabu: I'm going to make some !!MUSIC!!
This is really good. Even if I prefer the soundsense soundtrack, this is still genuinely fantastic in it's attempt to portray the openness and vastness of the Dwarf Fortress world.
Listening to this song the first time around I was kinda just relaxing, enjoying the low-key nature of everything, kinda getting a mental image and impression of some adventurers travelling through the wilderness on some quest or some such. And then that Dagger Dance riff hit at 3:07--man, it's the kind of musical transition I'd want to imagine when you roll initiative in a lot of tabletop settings. Big fan of that feeling.
It is different! I'm no musician, so I can't exactly explain it elegantly, but that segment is run with a different tempo/more staccato bits even though it uses the same notes, so it's a little more "steppy," I guess is what I'd call it. It's also got the background percussion to add some oomph (Danger Room kinda does something similar with the Dagger Dance riff, but the "audience" that backs it is a lot more distant, so it's not as punchy or overt). Which is appropriate, I think, because I'd say changing the tone like that keeps the sense of real/individual danger that the rest of this track has going for it.

I downloaded this new track on my Jellyfin server. I believe that I 've heard it for more than 50 times! Still, I feel I need more of it. What a great artifact!
When I was new, I would’ve agreed, but light aquifers are not hard (or complicated) to deal with and they are an easy source of water too When you’re digging past aquifers just smooth the stone walls and it stops running, for material that can’t be smoothed just mine out the wall around the staircase and place walls around it so water can’t get in Aquifer > No Aquifer
@@admiralAlfonso9001 Sure a Light Aquifer can be Nice, but I dare you to tell me a Heavy Aquifer is a Nice Thing to have right in your Base, dingying up the entire Complex for no Good Reason. Also, though I have put in over 50 Hours of DF now, Aquifers are still a Thing that I have to accustom myself in Terms of dealing with them.
@@feragosmyxixarashtra7948 I specifically said light aquifers are the ones that aren’t hard to deal with so there would be no mix up (although I forgot to specify when I wrote the aquifers > no aquifers part if that’s what you mean)
Fun fact, just like how dwarves are compelled to drink alcohol, most Elven civs place such an emphasis on merriment that most elves are compelled to sing and dance. It's the only reason dwarves and elves tolerate eachother.
hey Dabu, great work man! its always a good day when DF gets more music. that almost salsa, or flamenco guitar just feels so right. I know you had released the sheet music a while back, but would it be possible to get some guitar tabs too? I just recently picked up a second hand six-string and I would love to play something like Drink and Industry (or even this one, it goes hard) as my first ever project. keep it up man!
This craftsdwarfship is of the highest quality
the album menaces with spikes of Gold
DABU & SIMON HAVE FINISHED A MASTERPIECE !!!
I love the callbacks to Vile Force of Darkness in this track
I knew I wasn't the only one hearing it.
Bro, I wonder what it means tho I hear references to it in lots of the other tracks
Instant classic.
I love how they kept all the themes in a very balanced form
The Toadman adventurer is literally me
You look suspiciously like a plump helmet person tho
so real and true and factual
I'm him
It does look like a Gosling.
personally, i identify with the goose

Certified Dwarven Classic.

Alright so when's the second record coming out?
For real, the single tease is fire, but we’re looking for the rest of the inferno.
Also, glad to see you here, Blind!
@BlindiRL Will you be making adventure mode tutorial videos like you did with fortress mode when it drops?

Sooner than you think 👀
The bards of Dwarf Fortress are back! I would LOVE for an hour of this style of music as an album.
Listen to the soundtrack of the game.......??
@@Osmasker it's not all like this.........??
@@Osmasker Heh, I meant something more than grasslands and cave sounds while working or on the road. Outside of gameplay, like this video here! :)
My friend, listen to Ulver - Kveldssanger
I'm so excited for the songs in Adventure Mode
I love that you can hear the riff from "Vile force of darkness" in the silent parts of the song. Puts some emphasis on the danger of an adventure.
Rock and Stone to the BONE!!!
Rock and stone foreeever!!
Straight into the dnd playlist.
OH GOD WE GET MORE TRACKS TOO?! game of the decade.
We're getting more than 10 tracks if I correctly remember, might've been 12 or 15 or 17
Technically game of two decades... ;P

this makes me so nostalgic for the release of dwarf fortress on steam, when everything was still new, listening to all those new songs
The only thing I hope for is game is to be able to ride my horse while with my faithful companion on my shoulder, Flying squirrel man
The motifs from Vile Force of Darkness go so damn hard

Wake up babe, new Dabu & Swerwer just dropped
Как же они чувствуют!
I have been overcome by a Fey mood. I hear the sounds of the ancestors reminding me that the time to withdraw from society draws near once more
The next 7 days are gonna feel like 7 years to me
Time is subjective anyway.
Did they say it was gonna come out on the 17th? I only saw its release date just being April
