Well, it's definitely a matter of taste, you know :) Read the description, make a test save and try them both for a while. Each has unique features. SS allows you to receive permanent attributes by feeding on most powerful people in Skyrim. BV allows you to turn people into vampires. Both are really immersive :)
I've tried bv & sacrocet (on xb1) they are both good but they have clashing issues, I'm not sure if they fixed it or not but I found bv was the better version imo. though sancro was a good runner up it just wasn't finished to be of value (it's been a few months since then so don't take my word as law).

Sacro is pretty cool, added with updates and other vampire mods that work with it make you feel like friggin Dracula(play as an imperial that looks like him for more immersion)and you actually want to be a vampire.
Type up sacrosanct on the mod page and keep scrolling to the right the spanish one will pop up keep scrolling and near the end you will find english sacrosanct

I actually am using a lot of these mods. My favorite is the lustmore armor. I got Skyrim for my pc because of that mod. The houses mentioned are great had trouble loading the shrouded layer at first but was able to fix that. The weopons are great.
I love that Disciple Of Molag Bal mod, I seen it on the Nexus and skipped over it, seen it again in a video and was like *"WHERE HAS THIS BEEN MY WHOLE 81 LEVELS OF MY LIFE?"* anyway another nice vid.

I just use the Vampiric Thirst Redone mod with Dark Maneuvers. Has everything I could want with a vampire. -Turn NPCs into Vampire Followers -Powerful Blood powers, Some are Ritualistic in design. (Some are toggles) -Make Gargoyles out of Ore and your potent blood. -Teleporting through shadows.... -Creating an undead army (Only until you revert from your vampire lord form) -Dominating enemies with your sheer presence alone. -Vampiric powers growing stronger with age.
I prefer Better Vampires over Sacrosanct, although they're compatible with each other with the patch. I don't like how bloated Sacrosanct is, BV is also bloated but not as much. Only improvement Sacrosanct has over BV IMO is the flight. Cosmetic Vampire Overhaul is a must for me, I can't stand those ugly vampires. Also, Amazing Follower Tweaks allows vampire and werewolf followers to change in combat, you're able to decide when through the mod settings. All I want is a vampire mod which doesn't fuck with the perks, maybe just modify some values, and doesn't bloat the spell list, instead offers optional upgrades to the vanilla spells. I'd also like the ability of flight and a better feeding mechanic which BV does wonderfully. I'm honestly considering making the mod myself, I know a bit about modding, enough to get me started I reckon, though much research will need to be done.
Royal Bloodline was my favourite back in the day! Especially liked that it added cattle to the cage in Harkon's room. Shame it's not out for Special Edition yet although I could look into getting the permission to convert it I guess as long as it doesn't use SKSE.
When I bought the dawnguard dlc, I was very excited to play as a vampire. When I actually played as one, I was disappointed. After watching this Video, I want to download the mods and play as a vampire again! Thank you very much

sacrosanct is literally vampire the masquerade bloodlines in skyrim the emblem that holds the enemy in the air before destroying them is the emblem of that very game! blue blood / aka/ elder blood is also from vampire the masquerade bloodlines. so basically this mod is a fusion between skyrim and vampire the masquerade bloodlines for the PC raziel vampire armor from soul reaver the "embrace" command in better vampires as well is from vampire the masquerade bloodlines
some of these are intriguing, but i have an issue that is consistent with a few of these. To me, the entire point of being a vampire is you can vanish quickly, and blend in. Wearing heavy armor is loud, so you can't vanish easily, and is very high profile. the better vampire NPCs i could maybe see a couple of them wearing heavy armor, but the only one that appeared to be wearing light armor was the archer. alot of the others are cool, but most of the time for me, i prefer relatively minor gameplay tweaks, as opposed to complete overhauls. it is nice to be able to see what the mods look like without having them sometimes though.

Great video. Are there any vampire mods on xbox that make your character really pale? Like an undead, corpse like pale? Whenever any of my characters becomes a vampire in skyrim their skin colour either goes a bit darker or stays the same. It's quite disappointing because they look just like a living person apart from the red eyes
Really good list! I think you missed some though, like Dark Maneuvers and Raven Castle and then a few smaller mods, but i actually didn't know a few of these so thanks.
I personally like "Better Vampires" better than Sancrosanct since it seems to play well with custom races - I like to use the Uchiha race. It also has good integration with Royal Vampire Bloodline, with these two combined, the spec tree is massive. The issue I had with Sancrosanct is, I just couldn't get the ability to feed like you've shown above. In fact, that's what BV dialogue showed me. Eventually I figured out by reading the docs that perhaps I need to reach a certain satiation level, or perk, which turned out to be the case... however, feeding never gave the option to kill and I could infinitely feed on the same person why getting 100's of fresh blood potions. Perhaps that was all due to some conflicts, but Loot said i was clean - for the most part. That being said, BV has a patch for Sancrosanct, with both installed im curious as to what's going to happen. The Disciple of Molag Bal definitely looks like it's worth a go - will definitely try.
This was Sancrosanct alone, to be fair I've stacked Skyrim with as many mods possible - it's usually the race ones that do it ( cause trouble). Again though it eventually worked when I got all the perks, well sort of, I could just infinitely drink anyone and didn't gain perk points. Otherwise , yes , it's a great mod no doubt.
+Sinitar Gaming After doing a few hours on Sancro, then BV ver. 8.0 with Royal Bloodline, It's actually pretty hard to pick a winner, only little thing is with the patch you can use some Hemomancy Spells from Sancro in B.V. but I don't think you can you can the unique traits by feeding on certain individuals... oh well. I'll probably swap back and forth between characters. On a side note, generally a lot of people seem to not enjoy race mods - immersion and whatnot, though I really have to recommend the Uchiha Clan, it's very complex with a lot of depth to the character abilities. A standalone install is easy - though if you install the Susano'o add-ons, well that's a few hours of work and a lot praying.
Dang! i tried playing a vampire character, but couldn't bring myself to do it. After seeing this, now i want to make a character that mains in being a vampire lord. O.O

I wish the Lustmord armor mod was for special edition. Also does anyone know of a mod for SE that makes it so wearing any kind of hood or helmet takes sun damage away? I don't want sun damage to go away completely but I just want to wear a hood during the day and take it off at night, like Serana does, who doesn't seem to be affected when she has her hood on.
Also are you using both better vampires and sancrosant with the better vampire patch? If u are could you tell me how to get hemomancy spells - cus i have no idea.
Isn't it working? Enai wrote somewhere in description that some of SS features may not work with BV together. Check this at mod page, I'm not sure what features exactly :)
I think you get the spells through making hemomancy potions, but whenever I go to a cookin pot the option to make the pot isnt there, btw the mod page doesnt speak about it either.... ;_;
Well, I found it. There's "compatibiilty" link at description page, it leads to separate page dedicated to compatibility: www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/articles/54 Quote: " Feature overlap: The compatibility patch removes most mortal form features from Sacrosanct (innate and racial abilities, Draining, unlocking blood magic, unlocking abilities by feeding, powers based on hunger stage) in favour of those from Better Vampires. Warning: The compatibility patch will break perks related to feeding (Psychic Vampire, Blood Bond, Lamae's Pyre)." So yes, it's actually working as it should. These mods are both too big and many features are overlapping each other. But, imo, it's still not too high price for using them both.

You should check out the morrowind Vampire system. Your attributes and available quests depend on the bloodline of the vampire that infected you.

Toby Sweetman Well Royal Bloodline is a nice mod for you. It keeps the vanilla perks and adds some more to the top of the tree. and it has flight too.
Most of the perks are upgrades to the vanilla VL spells.

Great video. Are there any vampire mods on xbox that make your character really pale? Like an undead, corpse like pale? Whenever any of my characters becomes a vampire in skyrim their skin colour either goes a bit darker or stays the same. It's quite disappointing because they look just like a living person apart from the red eyes

Really good list! I think you missed some though, like Dark Maneuvers and Raven Castle and then a few smaller mods, but i actually didn't know a few of these so thanks.

I personally like "Better Vampires" better than Sancrosanct since it seems to play well with custom races - I like to use the Uchiha race. It also has good integration with Royal Vampire Bloodline, with these two combined, the spec tree is massive. The issue I had with Sancrosanct is, I just couldn't get the ability to feed like you've shown above. In fact, that's what BV dialogue showed me. Eventually I figured out by reading the docs that perhaps I need to reach a certain satiation level, or perk, which turned out to be the case... however, feeding never gave the option to kill and I could infinitely feed on the same person why getting 100's of fresh blood potions. Perhaps that was all due to some conflicts, but Loot said i was clean - for the most part. That being said, BV has a patch for Sancrosanct, with both installed im curious as to what's going to happen. The Disciple of Molag Bal definitely looks like it's worth a go - will definitely try.
+James Szczesny well, it's clearly stated on Sacrosanct or BV pages that you can't use Sacrosanct feeding options if using with BV, even with patch :)
This was Sancrosanct alone, to be fair I've stacked Skyrim with as many mods possible - it's usually the race ones that do it ( cause trouble). Again though it eventually worked when I got all the perks, well sort of, I could just infinitely drink anyone and didn't gain perk points. Otherwise , yes , it's a great mod no doubt.
Hm, than it's strange. But maybe some other mod caused that indeed. I personally don't play with custom race, so yeah, not able t oreproduce this :)
+Sinitar Gaming After doing a few hours on Sancro, then BV ver. 8.0 with Royal Bloodline, It's actually pretty hard to pick a winner, only little thing is with the patch you can use some Hemomancy Spells from Sancro in B.V. but I don't think you can you can the unique traits by feeding on certain individuals... oh well. I'll probably swap back and forth between characters.
On a side note, generally a lot of people seem to not enjoy race mods - immersion and whatnot, though I really have to recommend the Uchiha Clan, it's very complex with a lot of depth to the character abilities. A standalone install is easy - though if you install the Susano'o add-ons, well that's a few hours of work and a lot praying.
Dang! i tried playing a vampire character, but couldn't bring myself to do it. After seeing this, now i want to make a character that mains in being a vampire lord. O.O

I can't understand you most of the time, but you make some great mod lists.
this is the only good top vampire mods for skyrim on youtube all of the other ones just focus on looks not gameplay and list the most bacissc and dont explain anything but you list everything gameplay looks homes and you explain them i love this

Great list, and actually made me check out Better Vampires. A question though, since you didn't cover it in the video: Why do your blood magic spells look so amazing? I tried looking it up myself, but I only found spell packs, no visual overhaul :/

I wish the Lustmord armor mod was for special edition. Also does anyone know of a mod for SE that makes it so wearing any kind of hood or helmet takes sun damage away? I don't want sun damage to go away completely but I just want to wear a hood during the day and take it off at night, like Serana does, who doesn't seem to be affected when she has her hood on.

Also are you using both better vampires and sancrosant with the better vampire patch? If u are could you tell me how to get hemomancy spells - cus i have no idea.
Isn't it working? Enai wrote somewhere in description that some of SS features may not work with BV together. Check this at mod page, I'm not sure what features exactly :)
I think you get the spells through making hemomancy potions, but whenever I go to a cookin pot the option to make the pot isnt there, btw the mod page doesnt speak about it either.... ;_;

So yes, it's actually working as it should. These mods are both too big and many features are overlapping each other. But, imo, it's still not too high price for using them both.
