Dance Smooth American Waltz...Frame, The Box, The progressive...April 1, 2024

Clark and Jennifer introduced the American Smooth Waltz, a style that allows a different set of movements out of the traditional closed Waltz frame position. These open movements are the main difference between International Waltz and American Smooth Waltz. We learned the Basic Box and Progressive straight line movement. Heel toe movement is important for stability and control of the Progressive. A proper frame is always important to maintain connection and lead/follower unity. Thanks Jennifer and Clark! The dance class was great! Spirits were high and lively on this cold snowy night.
