- Mercedes Tyre Pressure Warning Light Reset Guide - E class C class W205
In this Mercedes tyre pressure guide I will show you how to check Mercedes C class tyre pressures and carry out out a low tyre pressure warning light reset on the Mercedes TPMS.
This procedure should be applicable to Mercedes E class and Mercedes C class W205 cars.
If you experience a tyre pressure warning light on your Mercedes TPMS, then it is important that you read the Mercedes tyre pressure sticker to see what the correct tyre pressure is to pump the tyres back up and then carry out the tyre pressure warning light reset. If you don’t carry out the Mercedes TPMS reset, you may continue to experience sporadic low tyre pressure warning light issues.
Did you know that car tyre pressures are lower when it is cold outside? As a result, first thing in the morning in a good time to check the tire pressures and to carry out the Mercedes tyre pressure reset.
Did you pump up the tyres and reset the system yourself? If not, it may be set to unusual settings, with the TPMS monitoring tires that are all at different values. Especially if it was reset without checking the pressure on all four (and the spare if you have one with a TPMS sensor fitted to it) tires. As a result, you can experience the low tyre pressure warning light coming on frequently and find you need to keep pumping up tyres individually.
Hopefully you found this Mercedes tyre pressure guide useful and if so, please consider giving me a thumbs up on the video!

Ive been in the same situation when I got my newer E Class. I pumped up my tyres and the damn warning light still kept showing... I was so confused on how to reset it or if there was a permanent leak in the tyre(s)

Thank you, I solved my problem the spare tire was empty
That's great to hear! The spare tyre catches a lot of people out because understandably, the focus is on the 4 road tyres. Cheers, Phil

How do you change the value on the screen from kPa to PSi
👍
hello, nice video. anyone knows how to disconnect on the cdi mercedes a180 w178 2015 year. they are crazy placed useless sensors but important for spare tyre no place. mercedes crap become!
In the service graphical display, why is the front tyre showing different pressure, eg 255 / 250 psi ? Should these not be same for both front tyres?
Hi, remember, it is in Kpa not PSI. 5Kpa is actually only 0.72psi. It's actually really hard to get to the exact figure for every tyre to within 1psi. By the time you pump the tire up and then unscrew from the valve (losing a little bit of air as you do so) and then go reset the system, sometimes you will find a slight difference on the display. I can live with the tyre pressures being within 1psi! 😁 Hope that makes sense and well spotted! 👍
My w164 says 32 lbs front 39 lbs back?
@@bmccoy29 Hi, As you've got a different car to me and no doubt different sized wheels, I can't comment on if that is correct or not. But if you're confident that you have read the tyre pressure information, then it must be correct! If you want a second opinion, post up a picture of the tyre pressure sticker on my FB page and I'll have a look! (Be sure to mention what diameter wheels you have and what your requirements are regarding loading the car: lightly loaded vs fully loaded). facebook.com/PhilatReviveMyRide Thanks, Phil
@@bmccoy29 Just to add, I have a vid on reading the tyre pressure sticker which may help you too! ruclips.net/video/d5F0rHGT5rU/видео.html
It doesn't work for my benz gl 450
The number on the side of the tyre is the MAX pressure NOT the recommended pressure
Thanks for your comment but you are incorrect. The space saver tyre is different, the pressure printed on the side of the tyre IS the operating pressure, in this case 60psi. Go ahead and google it and you will see. I agree that for a normal road tyre, the printed pressure on the side of the tyre is a max but I make it clear in the video that you should get the road tyre pressure for your vehicle from the tyre pressure sticker. Hope this helps! Thanks, Phil
Just put air in and the light will go off. No need to reset anything.
Yes, that will get you going again but if the tyre has been running low, it will be hot. This means that however much air is still in your tyre will be warm, so when you top up to the “correct” psi, most of it will be warm air. Then first thing on a morning, when it is cool out, this tyre may have lower pressure. After multiple top ups on various tyres you can find that you start chasing your tail regarding messages from the TPMS system. Best to fill them all up to the correct pressure first thing on a morning and reset the TPMS 👍
