Ben, you get Double Points for JR Suite bookings! You really should mention this, as the majority of Diamond/Diamond Plus/Pinnacle Members (Diamond Plus myself) made our upper status, through JR Suite+ bookings!
A week before the departure date (Sept. 26, 2023), I booked a 26-night transpacific cruise on Princess Cruises' Royal Princess from Seattle to Sydney. I went with the cheapest option: guaranteed interior room. Five days out, I received an email from Princess saying that I was given a complimentary upgrade to a deluxe obstructed balcony cabin, which actually turned out to be one of the largest and best balconies you could ask for on the ship (aside from the suites). Including taxes and fees, the total price as a solo traveler, no joke, was $1,010 USD.
The dumpling is called Sui Mai, it's a staple of any dim sum menu. Usually a mixture of pork and shrimp - not chicken. Also Chinese savoury filled pastries tend to be a mixture of sweet with savoury, usually a sweet glaze but the pastry is often sweetened also.
And let us not forget Har Gow. Living in Vancouver, Canada, we have a wonderful Asian community and the Dim Sum restaurants are always packed on the weekends.
I have to say one of the many things that I love about your channel is that when you say your actively inclusive you really mean it, for me that is shown in how you include information about disabled access and facilities. Thank you guys, it feels good to feel included. Keep up the great work.
Hi GUYS,,,,,I watch you all the time! I am senior with anxiety and I dont travel. Its so nice to see the world thru your eyes. sending much love from your adopted gram in Ct xo
Thanks for including information about accessability relevant to getting in/out of pools. As a wheelchair user, that's really helpful to know, beforehand.
I won a Royal Up bid from ocean view to junior suite for a cruise coming up in a couple of weeks in the med. I can not tell you how excited I am to have a bath on a cruise ship and to have a coffee maker in the room!!
It was great that you were able to make the comparisons btwn the Spectrum of the Seas and the other vsls of the same class. The dumpling that the 2 of you weren't wild about is a classic shu mai dumpling usually eaten at Dim Sum. I guess you guys aren't big Chinese food eaters. I guess because there are so many families and it's predominantly Asian they close down the adult sections. They're either in their cabins or in the casino. I know my people. Looking forward to additional vlogs about this cruise.
I love the way you two talk,so precise, & your sense of humour is 100%. I have been watching you on & off for a long time now,but just subscribed,so felt I could congratulate you on your content & comedy. Thank you for cheering me up, Happy New Year, Elaine from Queensland,Australia.
This is our Sunday night viewing sorted, best open some more wine and order a take away !! simply love your videos, Ben should release a book of his hillarious quips :)
Hello Ben and David! Sweden here! My Daughter (27) is right now on Harmony of the seas in Maimi. We have been watching you for many years and today is tne day. She travels with her boyfriend and her halfsiblings and her father and his wife. She and the children are going to the big waterpark on an island. I am so happy for them!
"that is so tender it has insecurity issues" 😂 I love you boys and your sausages. Ive had a hard week (first time with covid) and this was exactly what I needed
Good review and thanks for mentioning the disability equipment. As a disabled cruiser, I have noticed that the cruise lines have raised their game, which is greatly appreciated!
Hi Ben and David. This is a totally different feel from any ship I've been on. It looks lovely! Nice cabin upgrade. Oh Ben, you are ready for the Vanity Fair photo shoot, bathtub series. The food looked really good as well. The upper level of the theater looked like it was hard to see what was going on with the stage performance. As always, thank you for taking us along and all your hard work. ❤❤
We were upgraded to a mini suite on our last cruise. We actually prefer the regular balcony room. The balcony on the mini suite was too narrow. The was on the Enchanted Princess earlier this year.
Ben, & David, I enjoyed this video so much, you both are absolutely glowy, relaxed and happy. Your energy is tangible and you’ve renewed my desire for cruising. After our first cruise in March on Adventure OTS, a Caribbean cruise, I didn’t know if I’d ever go one a) a RCCL or even another cruise. I won’t bore you with the details, let’s just say it was like death by 1,000 paper cuts. I get the ship was older, but our cabin was raggedy, and our room steward was very negative. Imagine watching you two, Don Terris, Emma, Jay and Tony & Jenny then getting on a ship that was the equivalent of a Ramada Inn, with an agitated room attendant that was terminally angry towards us. Have you seen the American TV show named Bob ❤Abashola? Same disposition but less smiling. Anyway, one would think that as time passes I’d be less disappointed but the truth is, I’m more affected now than I was during and immediately after our cruise. Thanks for spreading your positive excitement and honesty it’s just so appreciated. I DO think I want a Jr. Suite if I can get a bath tub, that scene was darling! 🩵 you both, from your Fort Worth Texas friend, slap my rump and call me yeehaw! 🤠
Wow, the packing cubes are a brilliant idea! And the fact they fit in a drawer perfectly! Wish I would have had those on my European adventures. Love being organized!!
Hi guys, we are going to take Asia cruise too early next year. For 13 nights also boarding from Singapore (one way) to Japan. Princess cruise line though. I can’t wait to experience something different from here(USA) and Europe. Never done Asia itinerary, can’t wait.
Lucky that you got an upgrade! - We're on Quantum of the Seas in 1 week!!!!! So excited. I booked this a year and a half ago and got a Jnr suite for the price of a balcony! 🙂This episode has made me EVEN MORE excited as you had a similar room on the same class of ship!
Oh my goodness guys! Having lived in both Singapore and Penang I would absolutely LOVE to take this cruise one day... added to the bucket list! Wonderful video as always ❤
If you are chasing Diamond status, you do get double points for the Jr. Suite, so if you can get it for a good price (not on the Royal Up program because you don't get double points that way) it is a good way to move up the in Crown and Anchor.
I love that after all these years you guys are still excited about cruising. Interesting differences with that ship. I already have bunch of cruises booked through 2024. I think we’ll be booking an Asian cruise for 2025.
The “yellow thing” looks like shumai - usually pork & shrimp dumpling! It’s a staple of dim sum. The egg bread or “gyeran-ppang” is definitely not for everyone! The sweetness can be really overwhelming. Great video as always!
Thanks for taking us along on your Asian cruise adventures! This one was particularly interesting. You guys are always fun, informative, and very entertaining!
I have never been on a cruise (bar a small nile one) but always wanted to. Stumbled upon you when I’m unwell and I absolutely love watching you two, so endearing & entertaining. Thank you for cheering me up!
Hello Ben & David! You both are so good at what you do! You guys crack me up ... Ben - "Fly me to the moon & call me an astronaut" ... David - "More drawers than a morgue"!! It shows how much you both love what you do. Thanks for the entertainment. 🎉🥳🎉
Recently cruised on Windstar and initially reserved the cheapest cabin on the lowest deck. The ship was not full and they offered me an upgrade for $250. I got a very nice cabin on the highest deck with a huge ocean view window. I got lucky because the ship was not full. Great idea for RCL to offer Royal Up. Maybe other ships will follow suit.
We recently sailed on Serenade of the Seas in a Junior Suite. And one of the perks for us was priority embarkation tenders and disembarkation. Our cruise was out of USA however - Tampa to Boston repositioning cruise. We loved the bathtub as well! The Silver Restaurant is a good idea - never seen that on any of our RCL cruises. Thanks for the tour and information!
Sausage Party is my husbands and my favorite guilty pleasure movie! We've watching it countless times! Thanks for all of the mild innuendos! Very entertaining!
Found your channel via EMMA CRUISES. Your channel popped up in my recommends. Now watching all your old vids. love em! I have NO intensions to cruise, but I love cruising channels and documentaries- go figure!
I was on this ship and took the same cruise as yourselves in July this year. As this was my first cruise I thought it was great even thou it’s marketed towards the Asian market it caters for everyone. Can’t wait to go in another cruise with RCL.
Looks like a great cabin and good food. I sailed to Singapore lots of times when I was in the navy -- hated the heat. I don't think there's much difference between summer and winter temperatures -- the place is almost on the equator. In contrast, I've been looking into going on a cruise to Grise Fiord -- any suggestions, let me know! Thanks a lot for all your great videos -- enjoy watching you guys. Too much fun.
This is brilliant we want to go to New Zealand to see family so will stop and do a mini cruise to have a travel break. Thank you for letting us know about this
WE'RE ONBOARD RIGHT NOW HAVING OUR WELCOME ABOARD KEY PASS WELCOME LUNCH!! SO EXCITED!! VIRGIN CRUISER ON ANY CRUISE LINE . . . CRUISING ROYAL CARIBBEAN -- VOYAGER OF THE SEAS -- To Cozumel, Mexico for the weekend!! We are going to do many of the tips in your videos, and already have in packing for this cruise! We were able to check two airplane-sized luggage and backpack with meds and other essentials!!
Hopefully we'll get to bump into you on the Arvia. Anyway we are a bit cheesed off as our boarding time isn't until 4pm. Never had one that late before. By the time we get on, half the bloody cruise will be over! We'll be chomping at the bit for those luscious fish n chips in the Quays!
I have to watch the past videos…we were land cruising and didn’t have Wi-Fi or good Wi-Fi when we had it….we were gone 16 days and 19 days on 2 trips….love taking our stuff in a trailer…once our stuff stowed…we don’t forget anything
Hello Ben; My husband Andy a fellow Brit loves Beet Root. He loves Pickled Beets. I love the two of you and how excited you get talking about the food on board the cruise that you are taking. I will never go on a huge cruise ship, way too many people. I would love to take a River Cruise. We just celebrated our 61 st Birthdays in August and October. i watched you latest river cruise video and stated to my husband that we should look into taking one for out 35th Wedding Anniversary (Nov 2025). Keep up the great content. I love traveling vicariously through the both of you. Safe travels and Love to you both. Stay safe as well. I almost fell off my chair when you stated "Fly me to the Moon and call me an Astronaut" You and your sayings are so funny. You keep me laughing and smiling.
I love beets too, so do all of children. Thanks for sharing! My husband and I are Coral Princess, circumnavigating Australia. We flew from Seattle to Singapore, then on to Sydney. My husband slept from 3 in afternoon, to 5:30 AM the next day. Jet lag is real.
Thank you again for mentioning accessibility aboard the ship , it really helps . I’m pleased to hear about the hoist available for the hot tubs , usually they are up a few steps so no good for my chair and I love a good bubble!!! 😂❤
My wife and I hope one day to run into you guys. We love you guys. It’s sooooooo much fun to watch you guys and we love the education and the laughs you share with us.
Glad to report just got back from Allure, food was good, ship was full didn't feel overcrowded at all, always found chairs at Solarium. Overall excellent cruise.
I use the supermarket string vey bags for underwear, and odds n sods …..much cheaper than packing cubes.. Nice to have the space in the suite and that bath….oh my word, how luxurious….. The food in the silver dining room looked good…..👍🇬🇧
Thank you for your video. Next year Nov 2024. We are going on 12 day from Hong Kong to Singapore cruise on Celebrity solstice 3 days in Vietnam and 3 days in Thailand. The tip is higher on a suite normally. Have a great time be safe.
Thanks so much for showing cruises out of Singapore, Disneys newest ship the Adventure will be cruising in the area in future. This video feels like a preview of what to expect.
I’d love to see your Singapore vlogs that David mentioned, but the link is only for the Quantum of the Seas cruise. I’d love to see where you explored in Singapore…it’s such an amazing country. Loved your Spectrum video!
Emma Cruises would be proud, she loves her baths!! Lol. I had a bath on the Princess Cruises Mini-suite, and I will say it was nice. But a Mini-Suite on Princess is about the same size as an inside cabin on Disney Cruise, Princess have such smaller rooms compared to Royal or any other cruise line, but much less kiddos which I like haha. I like my peace and quiet, but on Princess, I can still find the partiers and night goers on nights I'm feeling more frisky lol
I’ve cruised Royal in a JS many times (in the US). I have always had priority embarkation. With a JS, there’s no access to the concierge lounge. I like the larger room/bathroom AND I’m a huge fan of the extra C&A points. I often cruise solo which gets me 3 points per night.
I do think this grade of suite is so beautiful. On the big Royal ships, I struggle with the enormous suites as I’d feel bad leaving the room, but this is a really nice level of luxury!
The bathtub is a nice upgrade! I think the only other time I’ve seen one on a cruise ship was in a video tour of a giant family cabin that cost like $70k 😮
I absolutely love Ben and David! I am wondering though if their channel is transitioning more to a room/ship tour and food journey type of vlog? I'd love to see more port stops again but I understand that sometimes filming at ports can be challenging. Thank you for taking us all along with you guys on your cruise adventures. Or, as Bilbo Baggins says, "I'm goinggg on an adventurrrre!" 🥰
Hey guys. I am a new subber and a new fan. Didn't think I will be commenting but because you took a cruise from Singapore though I should add that June isn't low peak season, it's actually peak season because it's the school month long holidays. Also Singapore and Malaysia is usually humid all year round, there is no winter season in this part of the world. Well you get more rain at the end and beginning of the year but it's always gonna be humid. Lol. The low peak season is usually July - October and Mid March to end April.
I’m loving the look of this ship and nice to see how different it is. Can’t wait to see more from this cruise as the ports really interest me. Hopefully you have an easier time to kl this time than on the cruise you did before covid

Have you heard of Silversea Cruise lines?
They have Gold Level Suites, with a Private Lounge & Dining Room: what are they like?
The reason for the Silver & Gold Lounges/Dining Rooms, is the High-Roller Asian, Casino Clientele!

Maybe someone died in that cabin if it was 5 days in 😊
@@darrencoleman2960what a horrid jealous thing to say
@@darrencoleman2960 I think they mean 5 days out from (before) the date of departure.

David, “More drawers than a morgue!” Funny, funny stuff!
Is it me or has David really come into his own? Love this!!
Funny you asked that as I just watched one of their first videos from 5 years ago, quite a difference.
Hi GUYS,,,,,I watch you all the time! I am senior with anxiety and I dont travel. Its so nice to see the world thru your eyes. sending much love from your adopted gram in Ct xo
I lost it when David said he was going to find you a rubber duck for your bath. Ben, the bath really enhances your beautiful voice.
More drawers than a morgue. 😂😂😂 This is why I watch you guys! Informative and hilarious!!!!
Thanks for including information about accessability relevant to getting in/out of pools. As a wheelchair user, that's really helpful to know, beforehand.
It's always humid in Singapore. it doesn't matter the time of year - don't let it stop you! It's one of my favourite places to travel!
I won a Royal Up bid from ocean view to junior suite for a cruise coming up in a couple of weeks in the med. I can not tell you how excited I am to have a bath on a cruise ship and to have a coffee maker in the room!!
Ben singing in the bath - hysterical! But David, we are getting a lot better feel for your fun personality too. 👍😊
The singing in the bath was delightful! It gave me the giggles. 😂
You boys with the sausage...lol made me laugh. Love going on cruises with you, I feel like I'm there!

I’d love to see your Singapore vlogs that David mentioned, but the link is only for the Quantum of the Seas cruise. I’d love to see where you explored in Singapore…it’s such an amazing country. Loved your Spectrum video!
Thanks guys! I’m going solo this week for a four night cruise from Singapore…so looking for ward to the total relaxation…from Perth Western Australia
When are you and David going to take me on your trips, I”m cheap, I could get the senior discount, hanging with you two would be a blast..
Thanks boys for another great video❤😊
Brilliant tour. Really like the little changes on this ship.
I’ve cruised Royal in a JS many times (in the US). I have always had priority embarkation. With a JS, there’s no access to the concierge lounge. I like the larger room/bathroom AND I’m a huge fan of the extra C&A points. I often cruise solo which gets me 3 points per night.
9:20 In the U.S. we call those "pigs in a blanket". Quite the descriptive name!
I do think this grade of suite is so beautiful. On the big Royal ships, I struggle with the enormous suites as I’d feel bad leaving the room, but this is a really nice level of luxury!
That bubble bath looks lovely.🩷
Love, Love, Love!! Ben & David!!you two are Halarious ❤️
The bathtub is a nice upgrade! I think the only other time I’ve seen one on a cruise ship was in a video tour of a giant family cabin that cost like $70k 😮
We are new cruise content makers and you guys do a great job on your videos!!!
"more drawers than a mourge" snort laugh, best line i have heard in awhile
I’m loving the look of this ship and nice to see how different it is. Can’t wait to see more from this cruise as the ports really interest me. Hopefully you have an easier time to kl this time than on the cruise you did before covid
Oh how I LOVE you boys!!!!!!!! You brighten my Scottish darkening days.
